We took the trip by boat . It really paid off. You can also easily do the walk on foot. Easy to manage even for children and older people. There are also plenty of places to sit in the shade along the way. Stay and enjoy

Absolutely stunning. A must see if your ever in San Antonio. So much to see, so many restaurants/businesses on the Riverwalk, and no shortage of history. I highly recommend doing the boat tour. At $14.5 per adult (kids are less dont recall the price), it was very affordable and money well spent. A total of about 30 min you turn the entirety of the Riverwalk. Highly recommend Ashley as the tour guide, she was very fun, interactive, and informative.

I wish conservationist would press the issue to clean the water. PLEASE! Playground: Only in hotels. Toilets: Few and far between. Better be good at Holding It! Dog-friendliness: Plenty of pooches around and respectful leach holders. Picnic area: No picnic area thank goodness. Water is too nasty for such a thing. (Thanks to the current pay to play puppet Mayor.)

Not bad for a day or evening visit, but I no longer recommend staying overnight in the area. Homeless population has increased significantly over the years and additionally you can no longer get a good nights sleep in the area hotels adjacent to the RW. EXTREMELY loud cars and trucks revving and racing up and down Market and Commerce streets occurs all evening on weekdays and weekends at all hours of the night and early morning. It s unfortunate because this really is one of the better historic areas in larger cities around the country. Food options in this area is fantastic and always has been, but if police or local businesses can t get a handle on the unwelcome and unnecessary noise disturbances then I ll not be coming back.

Had lunch at the crab shack the food is really great. I was very impressed considering it s location the Riverwalk it s nice. Of course the walkway is narrow and you have to be very careful but it s OK. I enjoyed it. Sidewalk is a bit narrow during some points along the walk, caution should be taken to avoid falling into the river when large crowds are trying to get through. For instance, shops under the bridge takes up a lot of space that the sidewalk space is limited.
