I like this park. It has plenty of space for a few activities and theres a trail head too. Plus a small skate park and a public pool. Not sure how the public pool works though. I think that you might have to pay. Playground: Small playground for small kids is in this park Toilets: I think that I saw some restrooms Dog-friendliness: You can walk your dog around and in the trail head. Picnic area: There are spots where you can have a picnic

This is an awesome park that affords large groups the ability to do many outdoor activities, especially running clubs and cycling clubs because there is plenty of open space and parking. Shout out to Urban Run Club for introducing me to the park! I love that they have air pumps, a pool, and other amenities. I wish that there was more water fountains along the trails though. I do appreciate how clean the park is and everyone is friendly around the trails. Beware of the deer or deer dung in the grassy areas. Toilets: Porta potties only Dog-friendliness: I bring my dogs here every Saturday and they love it. It s a great place for a long walk with your dogs.

I love that there is wild life roaming around. It may seem dangerous because of that but I love it,especially the nature trails. So far i have seen black squirrels, possums ,deer ,tiny frogs ,blue herons, vultures, snakes, butterflies crickets, and even a armadillo. This park is full of wonders!!! Dog-friendliness: They have a whole dog park that separates the big and small dogs so they cant get hurt which is really important for their safety. Picnic area: There is a nice big area with tables under a shade for rainy or hot days.

Lady Bird Johnson Park is a great spot! I recently participated in the Urban Run Club in San Antonio, TX, this past Saturday at 7am. The park was clean, and despite the crowd, everyone whether biking, walking, or running was courteous. I would give it 5 stars, but theres always room for improvement, though I cant pinpoint where. Overall, its a wonderful place to enjoy outdoor activities!

If you have not been out to Lady Bird Johnson Park in San Antonio and walked the Lady Bird Johnson Trail head you really should get out there. The trail is very pretty lots of Flora andf fauna. The trails are paved, which makes it very nice to walk on or ride your bike. I have been out there. I have seen plenty of families walking because it is such a nice trail.

Great pool! The staff are friendly and the pool is kept clean. The rules are enforced - but reasonably, nobody is getting scolded or yelled at. The water is warm, the bathrooms are accessible, but the seating is minimal. If you have a large-ish group consider bringing your own chairs. There is nowhere to lock up your belongings.

I ran a 10k race through the park trails. Trails are paved, smooth (for the most part), and weave through some nice shade. This race was one of my more memorable races. I was near the front with a few others at the halfway point and saw a guy make a wrong turn and run off course. I decided to chase him down and get him turned around. Cost myself potential a win, but I managed to catch back up and finish 4th despite running an extra mile. Would definitely visit again for a race or just to walk.

Pool is always clean. They will let you bring in bottles of water. No floaties. Definitely bring chairs and a umbrella. There is very limited chairs and shade. My kids always have a blast. The lifeguard do an amazing job keeping everyone safe. No running. No horse playing. Lifeguard breaks are every 45 min for 15min. Restrooms are typical pool restrooms. Its a public pool. Dont expect it to be a resort. My family will visit again.

The trails here are beautiful. One of the trails has a boardwalk that reaches to a nice uphill trail where you can watch the airplanes coming and going from the SATX airport and then continue to McAllister Park. It is about a 2 mi trail going and back but worth it. Bike, stroller, family friendly. The weather was great when we visited so it made the day even better. The main entrance to the park has an enclosed area for dogs, really nice. Playground: For small and big kids. Toilets: Port A potty Dog-friendliness: Dog park for both small and large dogs. Enclosed from the main park. Picnic area: There are some picnic tables under a roof at the main entrance. Did not notice any others.

This is another example of San Antonios green spaces. I got there early, around 9am to check out the skate park, parking was not very convient the skate area and from the road it seemed like the bowl had a line of people to use it. It did not seem as friendly, but i was in a hurry and didnr walk in to check it out. This will warrant a second visit. The park had a nice childrens play area, it was wooded and the best times where the shade is better would be in the afternoons.
