It was horrible. The experience was like visiting a junk yard with old trains. Trashed and not taken care of at all. The place is run down and it is a scam to pay $10 usd per person. Sad, sad, sad. Don t go.

Interesting museum to visit if you re into trains and old cars. The miniature trains were really interesting for my 2 yo. The ticket also includes a short train ride and I think the last ride is at 2 pm so be sure to arrive there before that. I recommend visiting it when it s nice out because it won t be fun during Texas heat in the summer.

Our experience was okay,I gave 3 to the staff members (specifically the lovely lady at the front desk )who keeps the museum alive. The place looks sad,not well maintained, not attractive, the tour on the train just last couple minutes(also there is nothing to see besides trees). But,my family and I did something today .

My family had such a fun time at the Texas Transportation Museum. I loved the simplicity of the museum and how it was not crowded. There were several sweet older guys that interacted with my two kiddos. One gentleman took the time to explain some of the different mechanisms on the train to my son. It seemed like the volunteers/workers genuinely enjoyed being there. We will definitely be going back to visit again.

This is a great little gem. The folks that volunteer do a bang up job at making this an enjoyable location to visit. It may not be the flashiest place incorporating state of the art technology, but it is staffed by people passionate about trains and transportation. Any one of the gentlemen there working on a display or making repairs will stop and spend time talking to guests about an attraction or how they got involved at the TTM. My kids love the train sets set up outside and inside. They also love the train ride.

The Texas Transportation Museum is a great place to bring the kids for a unique adventure! The staff are all passionate about the history of the trains and different parts of the grounds provide a fun and interesting look into the past. You can walk through old train carts, an old engine, get a ride in an old locomotive, and even book a private party on one of the old train cars. If you make your way to the very back there is a building with model trains set up and some vintage vehicles. There s also a large outdoor section with large model trains running around. If you re looking for something laid back and interesting this is a great stop!

This is a train and model railroading museum. The interior of passenger train cars exhibit was very interesting. Its a great place for children and model railroad enthusiasts. There are many outdoor things for children. Youll get the most out of visiting on a nice day so you can take advantage of the outdoor activities. The museum has very few exhibits of other modes of transport. There are a handful of early cars jammed together in between the model railroading displays but most are covered with dust and one had a flat tire. Perhaps that was not an active exhibit and they are planning to display the cars at some point. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Fun museum for all, kids will have a great time. 3 out of 4 train cars were open to walk through, an outdoor model train, train play equipment, gift shop and building with model trains. The actual train ride that we were exited for was not running every hour like advertised and only went about 50 yards instead of the 10-15 min ride it usually goes on due to some work being done on the tracks. So itd be best to call ahead to see when it will be running. Building at the top of hill has a bunch of model trains with buttons the kids can push and scavenger hunts.
