Im upset that I can only give 5 stars. The food was just a hair better than my favorite Mexican restaurant in my hometown, but two things made it so much better. The atmosphere was just so laid back and inviting. It just felt great being there. Then there was the waitress. Cant remember her name, but my Lord, shes the poster child for why we tip in the US. Seriously. Friendly, happy, excited little ball of fire she was. I do remember her name was really long. Now, the beef enchiladas were superb and the Refried beans and rice were their own unique, wonderful flavor. Hands down, #1 Mexican restaurant in Texas for me, so far. Just another 5000 more restaurants to try out.

Titos Mexican Restaurant is SO good!! I grabbed take-out last weekend with my boyfriend, and I was so happy with the quality of our food! When picking-up our order, the staff behind the bar were really kind (I was in the wrong spot to grab our items, but the staff still went to grab everything for me so we didnt need to move to the correct spot). :-) We got their Chili con Queso and Enchiladas Verdes plate (with an extra side of refried beans). The food also came with flour tortillas + salsa. Everything was so, so delicious - Im so looking forward to returning here to have a full meal + margarita in-house!!

My husband ordered the beef fajitas nachos. We got a pork carnitas nachos plate. We tell the waiter, he gas lights and says we dont make beef fajitas nachos They only come with pork. We wanted to ask for the menu again to verify, but decided to just eat. Towards the very end of our meal, the waiter brings a small plate with just beef fajitas. So random and weird. We do not recommend pork carnitas nachos. It was kind of gross.

So the lime margaritas are $6 on happy hour, but if you want a flavor like mango or strawberry, its $11. On my previous visit, the same Margarita was said to be only $6 during happy hour. We just flew in from ND and went to Titos. We were very hungry and my son the Navy man was waiting all day. The atmosphere was very relaxed, not sit on your couch relaxed, but having all your friends to your house for a grill day relaxed. Music was what you would hope to hear. The wait staff was pleasant and patient with all our questions. The meals were nice portions. The Navy man didnt finish his meal but he crushed a plate of nachos supreme with me before our dinners arrived. The food was good. Everything was cooked to a good temp in the oven, not microwaved. I was hoping for more kick from the jalapenos and my Marquitos platter but my son said a lot of the Mexican food is not spicy. thats the reason for the 4 stars. Maybe I picked the wrong dish. What do I know Im from ND. It was a great dinner, good to see my boy and my wife liked my sons last enchilada. We were there from 8p to 10p. Dont be hesitant to bring your family here if you want good Mexican food. The prices were very fair. We didnt have drinks so I cant comment other than they were going down pretty quick around us.

Herradura Double Barrel margarita @Titos Im born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Im a proud Texan! I love my tex mex and I LOVE a good margarita. I have had them all over SA and beyond. Youre not gonna find a better margarita anywhere! The service and the food is excellent also but theres plenty of good Mexican food here in SA! The double barrel tricks you with the smooth taste! But they are strong! The best part is that its a nice area to park and walk it off before driving! Its a beautiful walkable neighborhood with other shops, restaurants, etc and the first Friday of every month is a great time! But again... This is the BEST margarita in SA! Hands down. Always enjoy your adult beverages responsibly and Dont Mess Texas! FAAFO Parking: Free street parking but Mind parking signs at all times. You may have to walk a Block but its a beautiful, lively, and safe neighborhood. First Friday of every month gets a little busy may have to park a little further but its a good time to walk and check out the area.

Notice my original post was hidden! Too bad, I won t be back, so only 3 stars for you. This is my first visit to Titos Mexican Rest in south Alamo, San Antonio TX. Not enough staff to support all tables, large group table, demanded much of the attention of waiter staff, forcing smaller tables to wait longer than expected for drink and food order. The skinny margarita is not recommended, flat. Our food order took a long time to cook, the fajitas were not sizzling, and we kept running out of water. I think we will try this place one more time, but all the ratings were misleading. I give 3 star the restaurant because the interior is decorated nicely.

Awesome food, good & attentive service, excellent cocktails (I especially appreciated the margaritas the size of my head ). The atmosphere is very laid back and minimal, which works, though given how cool the rustic original outside/facade is, I wouldve done a little more to make the interior as cool looking. I also thought it was odd having the host stand at the back of the restaurant instead of at the front entrance, but all minor, objective opinions rather than anything restaurant quality-related. And as a local Southtowner, I am grateful to have such a fun, excellent restaurant in town.

Yesterday we came in as a group of 9 3 adults,6 kids. Instead of getting greeted politely, we were greeted so McDonalds wasn t an option by a waiter. Which was extremely rude. We had a friend in town and show her around the area and bring her to a Mexican restaurant & it left a bad taste in our mouth. First we don t even eat McDonalds like at all to even suggest that was rude. The restaurant was empty so to accommodate us wasn t an issue. We walked out bc i didn t Want to spend money in an establishment that isn t family friendly. We took our business to liberty bar which was a way better experience. I understand This isn t an establishment issue this is a staff issue. Maybe have a talk with your waiters about having some better customer services and or teach them hospitality.

Given the generally good reviews, my wife and I were really disappointed with our experience eating here on April 10. She had the small beef tacos, but found them too greasy and the oil soaked into the tortilla. I had the chicken fajitas, which came with really good beans and grilled veggies, but the star of the dish (grilled chicken) was so bland and dry that I left half of it on my plate. Maybe we just came on a bad night?

Wow, the service was outstanding and very accommodating to my wife s dietary restrictions. The food was excellent and the portions were plenty. My only complaint was that the music playing was just a little too loud. The prices I felt were very economical for the quality and quantity. Kudos to our hostess she was awesome. I was traveling through San Antonio on a Saturday evening. I stopped in the Southtown area for the night and found this great restaurant. The hours said they were closing at 9 pm. I arrived at about 8 pm, and the restaurant was packed, with more people entering the restaurant while I was there, so I do not believe the hours posted are correct. The restaurant was bustling, but the waitress supplied ample chips and salsa, and I was content. I ordered the enchilada trio special to pick three different specialty enchiladas, which were fantastic. I had an enchilada tejana, a jalapeno cream enchilada, and a chipotle cream enchilada; they were all amazing! The rice and beans were good also. The meal was a great value. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Southtown in San Antonio.

PLEASE know that there are excellent places that serve Mexican well this is just NOT one of them!!! We stumbled in on happy hour which we did t realize. I ordered their house margarita my husband had a beer. It tasted like watered down lemonade! HORRIBLE!!! I didn t finish it and got a beer. No one made you have a happy hour- so if you have to skrimp and be cheap on what you offer so you can still make $$$ just stop having a dang happy hour!!! Our service was great when we were only the third table there but lost her when we were ready to leave. I ordered the trio of enchiladas- the spinach and cilantro cream were Meh at best but then again I had to pour on the salt to get them to be meh at best the one chicken with the tomato sauce was actually good! Even the beans and rice were tasteless!!!! How??? I was not a happy camper about the reviews sending me to a place that had such bad food but it is what it is! Hopefully SOMEONE will be rescued from choosing to eat here by my review!

Nice waitress, she was just trying to cover too many tables at once. Fajitas leave a lot to be desired, however the cilantro cream enchiladas were delicious. It s now 2024 and they have definitely improved their service. We keep coming back because the food is absolutely delicious! If you haven t eaten here before it s a must.

If you live in, or are visiting, the San Antonio area, you simply must stop to eat at Titos! This is hands down the best Mexican food Ive ever eaten, absolutely wonderful. I ordered the Trio Eapecial (3 enchiladas), with the Pablano Crema, Mole, and Cilantro Crema, and each was so distinct in flavor and every bite was to die for (but I lived). My friend and I also ordered the Sopapillas and the Queso Flameado, which were just exquisite. Everything was very reasonably priced and the staff was all very kind to us. If you like Mexican/Tex-Mex food you have to check this place out! Vegetarian options: Espinacas (spinach) and Vegetable Enchiladas and other dishes

We chose this establishment because of its reviews. Google did not fail us! Robert and Gustavo absolutely represent Tito s in a perfect manner. Our food was phenomenal and the drinks were absolutely spot on. All the patrons were friendly to us even though we were obviously not regulars. Tito s is definitely our new go-to spot in San Antonio!

been here a couple times and the food is ok, what i just cant get with is that for a mexican restaurant, they play no mexican music and have no mexican atmosphere, its dark inside, almost gloomy, nothing like what mexican restaurants usually are

Everything I thought great Mexican food should and would be in my dreams was delivered at Titos. I ate lunch there having the trio enchiladas and Presidential margarita, both were 10s. I went around town with my son playing tourist and we had originally parked by Titos so went back for round two at dinner. Cant miss spot...regulars need to boost this places ratings as the 4.3 doesnt do it justice. This is a great place in all aspects - food, service and atmosphere.

Excellent food and service! They do close restaurant early at 9pm. I usually travel from Houston and try to make it by 8, which is cutting it very close, but staff is always pleasant when we come and leave, usually after 9pm.

I have been to this place many times and its one of my favorites. However, I havent been in several months and I stopped by today. The service was so awkward. I could barely hear my server over the pretty loud music and thumping bass and every employee was acting like they didnt know what they were doing and not friendly or talkative AT ALL. which is odd because Ive been here many times and the servers were always so friendly and thats a huge reason why I kept coming back. Not sure if Ill be back, I may but if I have another awkward, cold dining experience I may have to find another spot. Food wasnt as good as it normally is but not at all bad.

The staff here was awesome. Im guessing the manager, made sure we were taken care of promptly, which we already had been, but she cared. Great atmosphere in side and absolutely amazing food. Everything we had was top notch. Beef and shrimp fajitas were great! Salsa had a unique and amazing flavor. Our next trip to San Antonio will, with out a doubt, include Titos. Love it!!

Had a nice and relaxing lunch here on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The place is in a funky neighborhood here in San Antonio. I had some mini barbacoa tacos and my partner had some chicken enchiladas.. Her brother ate some grilled steak tacos which all were thoroughly enjoyed. Nice friendly waitress and great scenery sitting outside. When Im back in San Antonio I plan on coming back!! Vegetarian options: Not sure about the vegetarian options. Parking: No problem finding parking. Kid-friendliness: You can certainly bring kids here. Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair accessibility.

I hate doing this because I really loved the food. I had high expectations because I heard good things. I walked in, had a seat at the bar. The young (maybe intoxicated) lady next to me was ranting and raving over margaritas and enchiladas. I went for it. The margs are good. As are the enchiladas. Heres where the problems start. Why does the intoxicated lady know that its happy hour while the server doesnt and has to check (after he told me it was the normal menu)? If I didnt push them I wouldve paid different prices. I went for the choose 3 enchilada meal. Before I could finish the guy is correcting me on which enchiladas I should order or qualify. If there are only certain ones that apply maybe make that clear on the menu. He recommended the mole enchilada which, while decent, was the worst enchilada out of the three i ordered (it wasnt bad per se, it was just the worst one). To the average person any means any. The entire time I just felt unwelcome and wanted to leave. I finished my meal without asking for too much (another margarita or two made *exactly* the same way, etc.), paid, and left. I wouldve ordered more drinks and food to go but felt too uncomfortable to do so. Maybe they treat you better if you are a woman or something. I wont be back.

This was our first time frequenting this establishment. The atmosphere was okay. However, the service was very lacking. Took forever to get our drinks and it wasnt even that busy in the dining room. Then it took a long time to get our food and many of our plates came with cold food. We were a party of 16 people. The bartender apologized for the bad service and explained that they were short staffed. That is still no excuse for cold food. I personally decided to try the Baja fish because it was supposed to be good. I dont have to tell you how bad cold fish are. Its almost like rubber. The only thing I can give a positive review on this is the atmosphere and the drinks were great. Maybe I went on a bad day but I was not impressed with the food and neither were my family. The waitress that attended us didnt even offer to have my plate replaced. She just looked at me and said shell take it off the bill. Thats why Im rating the service as 1 star. She was a horrible server. Trust me I have been to other restaurants were they were slammed and the food still came out hot! I dont mind if there is not enough staff and waiting a bit for food but when a server wont apologize or offer to correct the issue, itll be hard to get me to go back to a place like!!

Seat yourself location, food was ok, nothing to blow you away really. Cleanliness could be improved from plates used for apps to one of the servers hands (visibly dirty) bringing out the food. Pineapple Serrano Margarita was pretty spicy.

This is a gem of a restaurant. Wish I lived closer. Food is amazing from chips to red sauce, to mole, beans and riced. How do they make such good food with no price increases. I would pay a lot more. Hope you felt I made up for it in the tip. Next time I m trying margaritas.
