The food is so delicious omg. And the manager Matt helper guide me to the perfect plate. I wanted something light with alot of protein with some greens. He made up a plate for me specifically and let me tell you , he knocked it out of the park. Also, my shoes were untied and he literally dropped to the floor to tie them for me. Absolutely best customer service and best tasting ! Coming back again

I was celebrating my birthday!! The waiter, Ryan, was on hand for my family, friends and I, to a tee. Our meals were delicious, our drinks out of this world, and everything was being brought to us so quickly! He made my birthday celebration very worthy, oh, and the cook(s) topped it off with our great delicious food. Buen provecho!! Well I dont know about the food yet but when theres a sign to wait to be seated and theres no one at the front desk, they might be missing a key ingredient for a successful business. Well its now been 25 minutes no food and no Tacos. Well 30 minutes in and one phone call from the lobby and the manager came out and said hes going to check. Well he did. He has no idea whats going on. By the way owners if this isnt a drug money laundering front Ill be more happy to discuss the possibility of fixing you business. Oh and thanks for the refund. Well Im almost ready to bicycle off and the waiter comes outside with my order. I offer to pay, but he declined. 3 stars for the waiter ONLY. Tacos? Theyre ok

Great place to grab lunch. Higher quality than a lot of the nearby Mexican restaurants. Easily the best chips and salsa this side of 281. Aubrey was excellent: personable, accurate, and attentive. My coworker and I both got the street tacos, and I would love to share a picture but they looked so good I had eaten half of them before even thinking about taking a picture. Came with tacos, borracho beans, onion, cilantro queso fresco, avocado, and a jalapeno. Two of those and two drinks plus chips and salsa for less than $40 is an awesome deal. Ive found my new favorite place for office lunches. Thanks!

This location was amazing and as authentic as it gets! We wanted to have breakfast before our 9 hour drive home but the patio didn t open till 11 and we had our dog with us. Let me start off by saying Enrique was the best part of our experience there. We usually go to Nicha s near Evers but that location was extremely packed so we decided on this location. Sadly all of our food was a complete disappointment! From Enchiladas to Caldo it was all bad!! My niece went to vomit during dinner because the food upset her stomach badly. My Caldo was served cold so I asked if they could heat it up. Well when I got it back it was hot and it seemed like they just added lots hot water. It had no flavor and the beef in the soup was black and tasted HORRIBLE! Everyone went home with upset stomachs which normally doesn t happen at the location near Evers! What was suppose to be a beautiful birthday dinner turned into a night of Pepto and immodium shots.

The only difficulty I experienced was that the entry door is hard to open and there is a bench just inside the door that effectively narrows the opening to get through. I explicitly asked that my enchilada be served extra hot, well-done. Entire plate came out just warm. Also forgot the green salsa that I ordered when serving chips. Once food was correct, it was delicious! What is it with restaurants and ice these days? So often now, I have to ask for more with my original drink serving. Today, too. My waitress only spoke Spanish, so the table next to mine was painfully difficult to listen to order. Had to call Mgr or other waitress over to help a couple of times. Went to try breakfast buffet. Food was cold, which I believe is a health violation , has to be kept at a certain temperature. Workers have to keep checking the temperature. Food bland. The mole is insane! Every time I go to San Antonio, this is the first place I go. This time, I decided to switch it up a notch and tried their 3 enchiladas plate with 3 different sauces. This is my first time experience and I was with a company party. So this was planned more than a month ago. We only had a single server for a party of about two dozen, and I believe this is why quality was so poor. I cant be too sure because I did try my wife plate and there was no improvement. I had family in town and we ended up visiting two days in a row because my family enjoyed eating here so much. We tried the queso, crispy taco plate, puffy taco plate with chicken, taco salad and the shrimp quesadillas. Everything tasted great but the queso and shrimp quesadillas were my favorite. The shrimp was fresh and juicy! The cocktails were also made well. We ordered the paloma, cantarito and frozen margarita. Leo was our server both nights and he was friendly, attentive and provided great service. Last thing I noticed, they had very clean bathrooms and I like that theres a hand washing area outside of the bathroom. Ill definitely be back again! 5/9/2024 Update - This spot is still a 10/10 for me. It was a perfect day to sit outside. Anthony was our server today and he was awesome. I tried the Spicy Piña-Rita. It wasnt too spicy for me and I had to order two because the drink was refreshing with the right kick. I loved the Spinach and Shrimp Enchiladas dish! And we customized the Carnitas Bowl subbing the pork carnitas for grilled shrimp with no Mexican crema. Also super delicious. This food hits the spot!

Whats not to love about nichas!!!! This place has been serving great food and awesome drinks!!! I was really excited to see one open here off west ave. I recommend their beef chili rellano with charro beans. They also have daily specials along with happy hour. Dont forget the try their appetizers which I would recommend a full order of their bean and cheese nachos with guacamole. Last but not least, their drinks are AWESOME!!!!!! They do have a bar to sit and drink possibly to wait ( which the origimal location off Roosevelt does not have but a place to sit but a patio outside to drink when waiting to be seated ). Every other Friday, I make it to the original nichas on the southside and always get either my Cadillac or now my new favorite the flight which consists of all flavored margaritas that they have too offer which I highly recommend as they come in small glass sizes which come in mango w/chamoy dressed, prickly pear ( my favorite), strawberry and classic( which you can dress as well). At Nichas Tex-Mex Enchiladas, not only is the atmosphere chill, but the food is also downright delicious. This place is a hidden jem. I must start by saying I am not a fan of Tex-Mex at all, but I think this restaurant officially changed my mind! The patio has live music, the drinks are great, the decor is great and the service and food is 5 Star! He made us feel like family as soon as he greeted us and he made great recommendations for food and drinks. Our meal was perfect and we are already looking forward to our next dinner here (with Jimmy of course). I got the chicken fajitas and the margarita flight. 10/10. The server did not like to talk to either of the males at the table and forgot multiple items throughout our time here. Food was really good and the prices were affordable. The only bad thing i have to say about the food was that the Mexican rice was bland, the carmel on the flan was a little burnt making it bitter and when we asked for jalapeños we got canned/pickled ones. Fresh jalapeños would have been a lot nicer to add to our food. The mixed drink were good.

I usually go the the restaurant off Rosevelt. Stopped at the West Avenue location for a meal. This location has become my favorite location. 99% of the time I order Dad s Plate and the El Guapo margarita. Recently I tried the Fried Burrito. It was not very fried and not very good I would not order it again. Service is always great. Celina is usually my server, she does a fantastic job.!

Update: I keep going back for lunch and the cheese enchiladas are excellent. My coworkers love the green enchiladas and carne guisada. The staff is friendly and tries very hard. It s usually very busy. I guess they worked out the kinks. I would recommend The remodel they did on the old place is excellent, even spiffed up the curbs with plants and grass. Been about ten times because it s convenient and lunch prices are fair. The food is pretty good but carnitas are a joke, soggy chunks of pork, not crispy and shredded, with no flavor. Avoid those. When we complained to our waiter about them he just shrugged his shoulders and said enjoy ! What?? Cheese enchiladas are very good and I really like the salsa but margaritas are weak, like can t even taste any tequila weak. The servers seem to change often and are many times seemingly inexperienced, (see above) except for one I remember being great. Their regular menu prices are kinda high and the menu is small with not many choices. I just go for the lunch cheese enchiladas. Don t expect greatness.

Location has been several restaurants over the years, but thought wed try the new version.Very nice inside and big patio. Large food and drink menu. Food great, good salsa. Drinks were good ,but odd. 1st time going to this location. Didnt really like it. Id much rather make the drive to the location off 410. Food wasnt horrible but it wasnt great. I asked for a beer-rita. It was given to me separately. The beer usually goes upside-down in the marg. At least thats how Ive always gotten it. The server tried speaking English so to make it easier we responded in Spanish. He still didnt seem to follow. Repeated what we said not to confirm but more like questioning/confused. It was annoying. He even had to look at my menu to see what I was asking for. With was just a shrimp cocktail and my husband ordered the tortilla soup. He asked for the bigger size and only got the small. We werent very satisfied.

This is exactly what we were looking for, an authentic Mexican breakfast. Guisada, chorizo, huevos rancheros... Even the coffee was really good! The service was great too. Our server was attentive and friendly, but not overbearing. He helped us navigate the menu, and his recommendations were spot on. The atmosphere was unassuming, comfortable, and pleasant. It felt right, not too much, not overboard. Definitely recommend! And will go back when Im in town. Parking: They were busy so parking was somewhat scarce, but we found a spot as soon as we pulled in.
