I couldn t afford a criminal lawyer 7 years ago when i was charged with a serious crime. The courts appointed Mr. Hobbs to represent me. I had very little faith that the court appointed attorney would try his hardest to come up with a resolution on my behalf. Was i surprised that he got me a fair plea deal. It included 10 years probation from Mar 2019 until 2029. 5 years later and making full restitution, Mr Hobbs represented me before the court asking that i be released from probation early. This time i paid him for his services. At 3 this afternoon, Apr 4, the judge granted me approval to be removed from probation. Mr Hobbs went into the courtroom fully prepared and worked in conjunction with the DA s office to make this happen. Mr Hobbs, thank you for doing your due diligence in making this happen. i have found Mr Hobbs to be readily available any time and has given me very sound advise as I have needed it. If anyone is ever in trouble with the law, seek him out, you will be extremely impressed and satisfied!!

I m an attorney myself, but was hit with a full we have a legal system not a justice system moment for a family member and reached out to Colin Hobbs. A disabled family member received a parking ticket from the City of San Antonio for parking in a handicapped space with an expired handicap placard, simply because they had forgotten to put the new one into their car. Seventy years old and never had any run-ins with the law, not even a speeding ticket, and so they were extremely upset and worried finding that on their windshield. Additionally, they are on a fixed income and the cost of the ticket for something like this would be very difficult for them. Colin was extremely empathetic, and made the process of contesting the ticket and getting justice to prevail as easy it could be. The cost to retain him was well worth it, certainly in the financial sense, but also for the peace of mind which was equally important. Very thankful for all his work on their behalf and highly recommend him because he truly was the Ticket Shredder!

I hired him for another case in the past and he was very quick to get on the case , let me know what needed to be done and I ended up completing a program and getting a lesser charge. As of reset Ive been dealing with a case that occurred in 2019, and due to covid, my court date was reset numerous times. Once he got on the case immediately explained what I needed to do and how to get it done. We were planning on trial but he was a able to work out a deal for me and within a very short time period(2weeks)I completed a couple classes online , did what I needed to do and my case was dismissed.After 3 years I am now done with all the court bs , thanks to Collin B. I contacted Colin Hobbs of Gireud Hobbs for help regarding two speeding tickets that a teenage family member had gotten (one was for going at a very high speed). She was actually considering not seeking the services of a lawyer. I asked Colin for advice and whether he would consider representing her; both of which he did, with excellent results. Colin explained the court process regarding traffic tickets as well as the lifetime consequences of being convicted of driving at a high rate of speed. I immediately felt that he cared about this situation and that I could trust him. Colin also explained his fees to me and gave me honest, practical advice. Because of Covid, most court proceedings were being delayed during this period. Mr. Hobbs stayed on top of the tickets and was able to get court dates delayed. He even cleared up a situation where the court erroneously issued a warrant for her arrest. Upon his advice, she took defensive driving and got the lesser ticket dismissed. In November 2021, the high speed ticket was also dismissed due in large part to Mr. Hobbs excellent representation and due diligence. Throughout this fifteen month period, Colin and his staff were quick to return calls, provide advice, and take effective action. His fees were straightforward and fair & reasonable; he also stuck to his quoted prices. Normally you have to pay 2 to 3 times what Mr. Hobbs charges to get the level of representation and results he brings to the table. He seems to have a great working relationship with District Attorneys Office who seem to have a high level of respect for him and because of this this they give his clients offers that are very generous. I had missed a deadline on submitting my traffic school info on a speeding ticket. I had no case because it was my error. I spoke with Colin and he provided sage advice. He even offered to drive very far out of the way to plead my case before a justice of the peace. I did not take him up on the offer, but the advice was successful and mercy was granted by the JP who appreciated me stopping in and explaining the circumstances. Scammed us. Immigration lawyer Fernando was optimistic during consultation and then once retainer was taken the story changed. Crime lawyer Collins took unearned money, for minimal work done. They charge for any type of phone call, knowing that communication is key. They shouldn t charge for updates and questions. Had to hassle for refund.

Very impressed with colin,he was not smug like some lawyers can be,he talked to me not at me, and was just a good communicator in the explanation of my case and how the law works . I have a cdl and its extremely difficult to fight or otherwise overturn a moving violation, i felt this particular citation was unmerited, and he agreed and fought for me and we won. Mr. Hobbs is an amazing attorney. My husband was facing 3 years in prison and got 3 years probation instead. Mr. Hobbs presented the case with much respect. We went to court 4 times and the same verdict, jail time, then the last date got probation. Mr. Hobbs knows what he is talking about and knows his way around the courtroom. Hobbs is an amazing attorney. Due to some stupid mistakes I made years ago and a senseless probation violation, I found myself in need of a defense attorney for multiple counties. Hobbs has fought for me every step of the way. Sitting in court watching the defense attorney/prosecutor negotiations for both myself and other defendants I have seen a huge difference between the way that Hobbs fights relentlessly for me versus the way the other attorneys have pleaded for their clients. I have even been asked by several other defendants in the court room who my attorney was because they wanted to hire him because he fought for me so much harder than their attorneys did for them. He has believed in me from the start and has worked so hard to keep me from going to jail. It s very difficult when you hire an attorney to know if you are going to find somebody who takes a true interest in your case and your future or if you will end up with somebody who just wants to take your money and make empty promises (had that in the past), but I am so blessed that Hobbs was the one I chose. He has traveled to multiple counties and multiple appearances and has never let me down. Last week was my final court date and I ended up with no additional jail time the chance for a bright future with no felony convictions. Hobbs saved my life.
