My husband and I went here on a date night to celebrate the birth our upcoming baby boy. Mari was our server, and she was such a pleasure and went above and beyond! The customer service was A+, this is how hospitality is done. Not only was the service outstanding, but the food was immaculate and well presented. We highly recommend the Maggiano s location at the Rim Shopping Center in San Antonio, Texas; and we will be returning for future celebrations and dinning experiences.

I am 76 years old and have never had better Italian cuisine delivered by truly great servers. I was in a party of 8 Vietnam veterans and wives, 16 in total, and everyone, I mean every single one of us, was happy. The electricity went out and staff shifted gears, delivered salads and appetizers, and drinks, and when the power came back served us an amazing meal. It was a great time. Remarkable. Excellent, just excellent. Thank you Maggianos!!! I will be looking for you wherever I travel from now on! Parking: Tons of space for free!

I had a surprise birthday party held in the banquet room this past Saturday at Maggiano s for 60 guests! Food was very good I give it a 5 star it was awesome like always. We are regular customers of Maggiano s We ve been going there since they opened . But I give 1 star to staff coordinator who was in charge of the event , a guy named Spencer , because it was a surprise birthday party and they took the cake that we provided for the guest of honor who turn 60 and they never asked me what time I wanted them to serve the cake. They took the cake to the back and before I knew it they cut the cake and served it without us singing the happy birthday song for the guest of honor to blow out his candles. I didn t make a scene in front of my guests so I stayed quiet. That was a big disappointment to me when it took so long , 8 months to plan this event. I don t think that I would ever have an event held there again. It was a big letdown. Also they didn t serve coffee and I didn t get the special ordered cake topper back .

Maggiano s has always been a top favorite but this was my first time visiting the San Antonio location. Kurt and Will were amazing servers, had perfect recommendations and they worked with Chef Sous Ray to make my favorite Alfredo, chicken and asparagus combo. I have been battling bad morning sickness and this was the first meal that I craved that was prepared beyond my expectations. So fresh, so flavorful, SO GOOD! It honestly makes me emotional, I haven t been able to eat in 4 days but today I m so stuffed and happy. Thank you!

I checked in online and we were seated very quickly. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice but the SERVICE was top notch - best I ve ever had. It had been a long time since I went to this restaurant, but a friend wanted to do her birthday lunch here. It was almost worth the traffic headache of 1604 that I endured to get to it. The bread appetizer that comes to the table was severely delicious. I could not remember what I liked as it had been so long since my last visit. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and it was OK. (I think I used to order something different) Our server was attentive and easygoing and the atmosphere was a nice as always. They still had the takeout deal if you order a main dish, so I made sure to take advantage of it.

Just not the experience I m accustomed to at a Maggiono s. We went for dinner with a family of 4. Two of the orders came out wrong and had to be sent back. One of them never made it in time and we had to take it to go. The waitress was quick to pour the olive oil but dumped herbs on top of it before we could stop her. Having just spent 2 weeks in Italy I can confidently say the we never saw dry herbs dumped on top of olive oil. Just olive oil, balsamic vinegar and black pepper. Please stop ruining your olive oil! Finally, the bill was incorrect but by that point we just paid it and didn t say anything. I cannot recommend this particular Maggiano s location and regardless of what management responds with, if they respond. There are too many better options out there to choose from, so I would encourage you to consider other options.

Kurt was an amazing waiter! The pesto here is top notch. I really like the red sangria. Its not too strong or sweet but just right. The alfredo looks very well made and not too watery. The spaghetti also has a wonderful texture and a great aroma. Mine was similar to a chicken gnocchi, but with pesto. Though I honestly look forward to trying something else (Potato dumplings are not my favorite, they made it perfectly though). Its a leg up on Olive Garden by two miles. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Great experience at this place. We stopped by for some food before the movie at the theater started. Im glad we did. Service was great, we never had to ask for a refill. The food was excellent, the chicken franese was very tasty and it came out quickly. I highly recommend this place. Its very classy but at the same time I didnt feel uncomfortable coming in with a shirt and shorts, and sneakers. We celebrated a dear friends birthday here and Loved it! I had only ever tasted the layered chocolate cake- which is still to die for! For our group, we had family style dinner where we were able to order many different things. It was delicious!!! Honey! I should have fasted for this event! The appetizers, baked cod, chicken picata, mushroom pasta, the salads, and the freaking desserts! My goodness. Our glasses were never empty long enough to be thirsty and plates were refreshed quickly. Our server was on point! I recommend this for a large group(6+). OH MY GOD! THIS PLACE WAS GREAT!Food was great, service great environment great. Its family friendly but also very elegant atmosphere. They have an area from hosting meetings. Only problem is they dont have one of these anywhere close to where I live. Whenever we are visiting San Antonio we will definitely come back here. Wow this restaurant really took it to the next level. Service was beyond excellent. Thank you to our server Spencer he was absolutely amazing and patient and very nice a quick, Big thank you to the manager Mr.Martinez , and thank you to chef Jose Bernal. You guys made my experience so well. I ve never been treated so well in my life at a restaurant. We started off with some bread which was tasty with the olive oil and other herbs in the oil. We had crab cakes which were so so good. Not over cooked by any means and the sauce was delicious. The fettuccine Alfredo was delicious and fresh. Also had the cod fish which has a Parmesan crust. If you do order the cod fish I do recommend having the sauce that comes with the crab cakes. Make it 100x better. If you love sweets get the desert sampler. Everything was excellent... except that the waiter seemed or urged us to leave the table... he brought us the takeaway trays that we didnt ask for and the bill anyway. We order a bottle of wine and it is drunk slowly because it is no longer enjoyed the same way with so many rushes from the waiter. The Executive Chef, (I think his name was Bernal), came out to inquire about my food allergy, and personally informed he would be the one preparing my dish. I felt so honored, and it was my day on Saturday! What a gift! This was a first time experience, because usually when I go elsewhere the waiter informs the Chef. The food was delicious! I had to take some home. I had absolutely no room for dessert, but all their desserts are wonderful! I didnt give it a five star review, because there was a lemon slice, and two condiment packets on the floor right next to our table, and everyone passed by and didnt pick it up. I was an hour later and a young man picked it up, and I broke out into applause!!! I didnt get his name, but if you have cameras in your restaurant you should review the tape. It was around 9 p.m., and we sat in the back section at the closest booth to the passage of the next dining area. We ended up giving him a lemon cookie, lol! Thinking about it now, how ironic, lol! Overall, great place for any celebration or even an engagement that happened Saturday too. Congratulations to that couple! Try it once and youll be hooked like me. Lasagna was under-whelming with plain red sauce and too much Ricotta. The pasta in the Shrimp Fetticini was not fresh (even tho the staff said otherwise) and overall seasonings were bland. The Drinks at the bar were good and service quick..at the bar.

This has been a regular place for me and one of my besties. At one point the service was a bit off but on my friend s bday the place redeemed itself! We had the usual seafood pasta. We ordered two each dish to take out for $6? (Special deal when you order a main dish)! They rearranged and added modern touch to the place. I e always liked their ambience!

Dining experience was the top, great atmosphere, friendly staff and amazingly good food. Best Italian food Ive had ever, everything was made from scratch and you could both smell and taste the freshness of it. Great choice of cocktails to go along with your dinner and the bartenders actually know how to mix a drink unlike most places. 10/10 will be coming back for more.

Me and the wife went here for a night outbwith the kids. Last time we were here was 14 years ago on our first Valentine Day. Maggianos is always excellent, not the best Italian food I am ever had but that by no means is saying it is bad or even mildly bad. Just after eating in the Italian district The Hill in St. Louis and Little Italy in Chicago it is hard to beat those. But reasonable price as well. If your going for just basic Italian fare choose here over TRASH Olive Garden, prices are similar for basic plates but of course Maggians does have some more upscale plates. 5 out of 5 everytime and will definitely be back hopefully sooner than 14 years.

Me and the hubby went out for a date night.. We had a great time.. Had some meatballs very meatiful and flavorful.. Ceaser salad was so crunchy and yummy.. Lexi our server she recommended the two dishes we had were on point and so delicious.. There FAMOUS RIGATONI DHerb-Roasted Chicken, Mushrooms, Caramelized Onions, Marsala Cream Sauce.. CHICKEN PARMESANProvolone & Lemon butter sauce.. 6 layer chocolate cake mmmmmm deLish.. Everything was on point Great date again Definitely will be going back.. SmiLe Enjoy

HORRIBLE! Very disgusted. Came here from DFW to celebrate my birthday weekend. I wanted to celebrate at Maggianos. We called and got a reservation. We showed up a little before time and got seated within 5 minutes. After being seated my husband and I waited almost 10 minutes and no one had greeted us or even took our drinks or any orders. My husband was ready to get up and leave and I said lets wait 5 more minutes. Finally I asked someone if we could get some service and then the manager came to the table and took our order. We told her we had been waiting almost 10 minutes and someone just walked past and said they would be back and didnt even greet us or ask for drink orders. We finally got our food but at that point I couldnt even eat because other tables we noticed were getting continuous service. Other servers were even bringing out happy birthday dessert plates for tables nearby. We could not even get service to begin with and they didnt even ask how we were or why we were here or if we were celebrating anything. I was very hurt and broke down crying at the table this was my 40th birthday and I was really hoping for a nice dinner and wonderful experience but it was anything but that. We walked out after eating maybe 2 bites and left all the food on the table. Very very hurt and expected way more from this restaurant.

I love Maggiano s to dine in and especially to cater get-togethers and parties at my house. The food is impressive and taste wonderful. The person who delivered last time came in and set everything up and was so very helpful. It may be a little more in cost to other Italian restaurants but believe me, you get what you pay for here. It is worth every penny. A favorite for many years.

Had a party here food came out cold and the set up was confusing. Food is also sent out on same plate so every1 has to serve themselves crossing each other in every way..Our servers never smiled or spoke to us and they look misarable. At the end of the meal they served cake which they expect you to know to cut it and share which nobody knew that and we did not have enough.We asked for more and it seemed to be a issue. We paid alot for this party and i felt it was a disaster. Servers need to explain how the food is set up and have them learn some hospitality. I will not be coming back for any other future gatherings.

Its been years since Ive been so naturally I jumped at the opportunity to go with a friend visiting from out of town. Im glad I made reservations as this place is packed on a Friday night. Sat at the bar and enjoyed an amazing Cab named Oberon. Apparently, Maggianos has paired with a sommelier to up their wine game.....A++. This wine was great. The food was phenomenal! I would have like a touch more sauce on my fettuccine, but Im just nitpicking. Check it out. Two thumbs up !

My husband and I visited here for our 9th year anniversary and it was AMAZING! Our server was Brandon and he was very sweet and patience! This was our first time at any Maggiano location so we basically tried everything recommended to us and it did not disappoint. The food here is rich, the employees were very happy and friendly, and the FOOD WAS GOOD! This is literally a hidden gem, and felt like a true little italy. 10/10 Recommend We are currently eating our leftovers right now lol

Came here for dinner with my wife. The experience was enjoyably safe. If you know what a standard chain Italian restaurant experience is like, then you know what to expect at this Maggianos. While the food is pricy, the servings are massive and we both have at least one, if not two more meals left of our entree. If you are at The Rim and arent looking for a risky dinner decision, then Maggianos will take care of you. Parking: Parking around 7pm on Saturday was tight. There were plenty of spots when we left just shy of 9pm

I am amazed at how beautiful this place is! Peaceful, clean, and elegant. Service was excellent. I enjoyed having lunch with my friends. The food was hot and delicious. Sorry no pictures-I started eating and remembered too late. The portions are huge but so are the prices. Excellent food and generous portions: Therefore I did not mind. Vegetarian options: Many items could be converted to vegan dishes.
