Put this place on your list! Had friends from out of town and one suggested this place as it was close to their hotel I m so glad they did. The portions are huge, the price is perfect, and the taste is incredible. This is by far my go to spot for a Gyro! I will be a repeat, repeat, repeat customer. The Great Greek Gyro is best I ve had in San Antonio and the Feta Fries are phenomenal. Again can t suggest this place enough. The salads my friends had looked amazing and fresh and they echoed those sentiments. Give this place a try if over by Alamo Ranch/Culebra.

I recently tried the gyro here and found it quite disappointing. The meat, which was on the vertical rotisserie, looked shaped rather than authentic and tasted very artificial. It seemed like they were using seasoning to mimic real meat, but it fell short. I ve been to Greece and seen the meat on a vertical rotisserie firsthand, and it never looked or tasted like this. Additionally, the fries were soggy. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, and the space was clean. I would not recommend.

The cooking staff, visible through the service window, were all smiles, clearly enjoying what they do, and it translated into the absolutely amazing food they serve. I started with The Great Greek Plate, which could easily feed two people. The beef and lamb gyro meat had a perfect crust, was cut thick, and remained incredibly juicy. The tzatziki sauce was rich and refreshing, while the pickled red onion added a vibrant and satisfying crunch. The side salad was massive, brimming with fresh cucumbers, pickled onions, feta, and a delicious vinaigrette dressing. I havent tasted Greek food this good since I left Germany 18 years ago. My wife ordered The Great Greek Gyro, which was another meal that could serve two, making it well worth the price. The fresh vegetables, feta, and tzatziki sauce were expertly combined with perfectly sliced beef and lamb gyro meat. The pita was light and fluffy, yet sturdy enough to hold the gyro together effortlessly. We also got the hummus appetizer, which was the perfect size for two. It came with two pitas, sliced into 16 wedges. The hummus was topped with chickpeas, spices, and a drizzle of EVOO. It was light, refreshing, and had a mellow taste, making it an ideal starter without overwhelming your taste buds. For dessert, we had the baklava, and let me tell you, it was the best baklava my wife and I have ever had. It was light, fluffy, and crispy without drying out your mouth like some places. The filling was rich, creamy, and had just the right amount of crunch truly mind-blowing. While we were eating, the owner approached us to ask how we were enjoying our meal. We immediately told him that his restaurant was hands down our favorite Greek spot in the States. We mentioned our plans to come back and try more of the menu, and at that point, he asked if we were planning on getting dessert. We told him we had ordered baklava, and he insisted we also try the baklava ice cream and Moms rice pudding. Though we initially said we d save them for next time, he generously brought us a sample of each to try. I m a big fan of rice pudding and arroz con leche, so I had high expectations for Moms rice pudding, and it did not disappoint. While tasting the new desserts, the owner mentioned that the baklava is made in-house from scratch, and it s used in the baklava ice cream, which is also made with freshly churned vanilla ice cream. To say the ice cream was delectable and decadent would be an understatement. We will definitely be coming back, and we ll be bringing all our friends and family here when they visit. This place is truly a standout, and I can t recommend it enough! Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options throughout the menu. It is very vegetarian friendly Dietary restrictions: There are also gluten-free options and dairy free options available. They can customize dishes to suit customers allergies, but dont go and say you have allergies if you dont really have them. The staff will make your food the way you ask, be mindful when ordering your food. This place blew my mind. Don t like trying new things but love Mediterranean food. We order with hope that our food was like the pictures, it was like the pictures with a great presentation. Everything is made fresh to order. Even the salad was delicious (missing a pepperoncini) but it was really good. The manager Maria came to us and talked about the restaurant and even gave us 2 desserts to try. They were really delicious. The baklava ice cream was amazing. The rice pudding reminds me of home. Holy balls bro, let me tell you. As a Greek man myself, the gyro and baklava are top quality. Fresh lamb/beef slices packed .and I mean packed onto a gyro pita flatbread. Vegetables so damn fresh, and the tzatziki sauce? My Yai Yai would have loved the way it s made from here. The sauce has the right amount of dill. This place is a hidden gem, ignore the bad reviews over their pita bread not being warm enough or didnt get the quick service they so deserved, hello! they were busy because this place is awesome. Im from California and Ive have tried numerous places across state lines and Im going to tell you just how good this place is. This is my first experience with this restaurant. Very cute, clean and convenient location. The cashier was very helpful with any questions I had. She definitely made me feel welcome. I appreciate that. I did feel like for $50 my bag was pretty light so I did check the order immediately when I got to my car. The feta fries were hot but the gyro meat was not even warm? I ordered two combos and 1 single gyro. The single gyro had far less meat than the others with the feta fries. All the ingredients were fresh and flavor was delicious. I was just not impressed with cold meat and the portion in that one gyro. If youre in the area its definitely worth a try. Not sure if I will return. Im a hard sell when it comes to Greek food when I know 2 other local places that are cheaper and Ive never had a temperature issue or a portion issue.

This restaurant has wonderful food and the best service I have seen in a long time. This is the place to go if you have never tried Greek food. I had to bring my wife in kicking and screaming because she insisted that she DOES NOT LIKE GREEK FOOD. After her first bite, her mood changed 100% and now is a fan for life. Amazing, beautiful food. Huge menu variety for vegan or non vegan. High quality food, polite empmoyees, clean store, nice environment. This is my third time here and everytime it gets better. 10/10, will be back always. I ordered the great greek rice bowl this time, with feta fries, and it was very filling and delicious. The baklava ice cream was very mind blowing.

Overall, the food there is great! One of my favorites is the fries and the rice pudding. The fries were well-cooked and have good flavor. Also the rice pudding was surprisingly good! Its not too sweet and not too extra, its very creamy and smooth which is the good part.

I have been here a few times and always enjoy it. The salad is really good, sometimes some mediocre pieces of lettuce but I just pick those out. It would be nice if they put some cut up peppers in it instead of just a whole one. They put plenty of dressing with the salad, its perfect. The servings are also pretty big. Got my son a kids plate and it lasted him for a couple days. The baklava is also really good. The wait usually isnt too long, I have only done take out so far. I will keep going back and try different things from the menu

My family has visited this restaurant 3-times in the past month and each time has resulted in great tasting Mediterranean food, expedient service and very friendly and accommodating staff! It was my first time trying this place. I honestly have to say the food was excellent! I spent over $122 for a family of six. I plan on coming more often to try new items on the menu. Today, we tried the gyros, the Athenian burger, and kids chicken tenders. Everyone really enjoyed their food. I suggest giving it a try.

Stopped by this spot for the first time ever. I had a great experience from the food to the service. The staff were super helpful because I had no idea what I wanted. This place is awesome! I order here so often because the food is always delicious and fresh. My husband and I come for lunch over the weekend and today I picked up lunch. This is gourmet level food. The restaurant is beautiful and a great date place. I love it! Currently we are fasting from meat but when we do eat meat the steak and lamb plates are amazing. I also love the deserts. A great place! Do not sleep on this. I highly recommend for dinner or lunch.

Probably wouldn t be bad for lunch. But, if I go somewhere for dinner and spend $18+ (not including a salad, drink, or anything, I want to sit in comfortable chairs and have someone come to my table and take my order. I ended up just having a Greek salad. It was ok. My hubby had a gyro. It was large more puts and sauce than anything else. He said it was ok. So disappointed.
