Thanks to the legal expertise of James Peterson, our family is now unified and I am a proud, legal father of two amazing kids. We couldnt be happier with the outcome. From the beginning, Mr. Peterson laid out all of the details of what our stepparent adoption case would entail, including the costs and contingencies so that there were no surprises. He guided us through every step of the process, right up to the court day where he represented us before the judge. He answered our questions, provided updates, and offered invaluable guidance on what to do and what not to do during our case. The whole process was very smooth and professional. Mr. Peterson also has a great team at his office. His assistant, Zachary, was extremely helpful throughout the case, ensuring we had all the necessary documents and answering our many questions. Mr Peterson did a phenomenal job handling our step parent adoption case. We had other attorneys turn down our case or tell us it would be a long, difficult process. I felt discouraged until we came across Mr Peterson s office on Google. Mr Peterson called me right away, showed confidence and expertise from the beginning. He was honest, straight forward and his pricing was very reasonable. Me and my family are forever grateful to Mr Peterson and his assistant Zachary who was also very helpful and patient answering all of my questions, our family is finally complete and our lives are forever changed! The consultation started out great! However through out the investigation Mr. Peterson lost all of our documents. Even though the other attorney offered us full custody, Peterson rejected the offer. Children resided with Dad for 6 years and recently she Disen rolled from my school district and took them away from me with no problems. I would NOT recommend Mr. Petersons services. David Segundo.

Everything you could hope for in an attorney! I have dealt with some attorneys in Bexar county that will make your BP rise & your head spin... So you can imagine the breath of fresh air I had when we had the opportunity to work with Mr. Peterson! First off, because I know this is huge for alot of people right now, it was for us... he is extremely fair in pricing his services & working with you on getting your case paid off. Mr. Peterson handled our adoption case with precision, punctuality & grit. He made sure we were 110% prepared before going before the judge, from paperwork (pre & post hearing) to be filed, to what will be asked and the best way to respond and calm the nerves. He was very prompt to get the ball rolling and get our case handled as quickly as possible with ease. We started in March & completed our adoption by mid May...every case is different, but I firmly believe it moved with such grace due to Mr. Petersons perseverance. He was good about answering questions and addressing concerns. Also, not to worry if he is in court or unavailable at the moment because his paralegal, Zachary, is amazing, patient & very kind. He will do his best to answer anything he can, and if he cant he will make sure Mr. Peterson gets your message to get back to you. To say I am pleased would be an understatement. Professionalism, Patience and Efficiency are my desired interactions in handling all of my business affairs. As a retired businesswoman, I was very pleased with all the support provided by Mr. Peterson and staff/Zackary. I was referred to his office after sharing with a friend that I needed to find someone to assist with updating my will and other legal documents. She was extremely happy with recent assistance he provided her brother. After calling the office, he promptly returned my call. I explained what I desired and various concerns; he patiently explained my options, as well as associated fees per each task, which I found to be more than reasonable. I proceeded in a 2 step process, completing the first item in December 2021 and final item/estate documents update in 1st quarter 2022. Legal transactions can be very daunting for me, but I felt confident and relieved of legal concerns with the assistance I received from Mr. Petersons office.

Unfortunately, my experience was not so great. My first impression of him is that he was rude, sarcastic, and condescending. He didnt take the time to listen and understand my situation. At one point he said something along the lines of hurry up, I have other things to do. Maybe I caught him on a bad day. I was disappointed since he had so many good reviews. Good luck to you if you decide on him to handle your case.

Excellent service! It took me over 6 months to complete my divorce 9 years ago. I went to Jim to do a modification order to change the original decree. I was concerned it was going to take forever and the longer it took the more it would cost me. I met with Jim on a Friday and Tuesday the following week everything was completed and approved by the judge! Saved me about $4000 a year. Now thats what I call service! Many thanks Jim.

He is very shady. He told me my childrens mother was taking me to court. After getting there I was listed as the petitioner. He gave me a bill without the union (AFGE) discount. I brought it to his attention. He gave me a new bill with the discount but with the same total. He simply added hours. My ex was ordered to pay some of my attorney fees in $50 increments. Only some because the judge said I was over charged. I had already paid James (Jim). My ex sent $50 to his office and he pocketed the $$.
