I found myself in the NEED to hire a lawyer to provide solid legal advice and represent me in an uncomfortable civil proceeding. Since the first minute I contacted to Mr. Brandt Bernstein, I could feel that I was talking to an empathic human then to a competent professional. Even when I started the phone First free consultation letting him know that I was in the process of contacting several law offices to choose who will represent me, he did not hesitate to provide very useful advice and valuable key points to be aware off at the time of making a final decision. After some other phone calls and a couple of days later I concluded that Mr. Brandt Bernstein fulfilled the type of person that would provide both solid legal representation but able to understand the way I wanted to resolve the situation. I had the opportunity to have an in-person interview with Mr. Brandt Bernstein... He established the limits of this interview before securing his services, but he still provided more valuable advice and guidelines to follow in case I decided to hire his services. During the months of personal intense and exhausting document revisions, communications, and negotiations with the other part of the conflict, Mr. Bernstein always had the right words of wisdom to explain me the next step to follow and to avoid unnecessary confrontations that may have ended in court appearances. Mr. Bernstein also was very conscious of the use of the time to keep the costs affordable but effectively accomplishing the objectives we had plan. I only have words of APPRECIATION and THANKFULNESS for his professional services supported by a true empathic and human relationship. ===August 2024==== Here I was having challenging time to complete the documentation ORDERED by the court of San Antonio to comply with my child support obligations... After having done part of my homework and having reached the wall not knowing what else to do (the need to have to re-open many memories triggers intense emotional states in my... therefore, my brain gets DULL....), I decided to hire the services of Mr. Brandt Bernstein again... After all... in times when clear thinking gets blurred... I needed a Professional with knowledge, and bunches of patience with all my inquiries... (I like to know as much as possible about the PROS and CONS about each potential decision to be taken in the new situation). As expected, Mr. Brandt step forward with his professional approach... pragmatic... but always looking for to offer the best balanced decision between my legal rights (what I am (was) entitle to get regardless of how much ...) and how I thought I wanted to proceed (making concessions to the other part). Sir, Again... Thank you- Thank you- Thank you for being the type of human being that really help to other human beings struggling with very uncomfortable situations with the right balance between humanity and the needed Professional approach.

After YEARS, of trying to adopt my niece after her mom passed, we finally got it done! Even with the help of CPS, adoption evaluators, and my previous attorney, it took over two years and we went nowhere. Mr Brandt Bernstein took over our case and made it such a fast and easy transition. He also took over our termination and adoption case with my biological daughter and my husband. 3 years of hassling with the previous attorney, over $6000 paid to them and we were still nowhere! These weren t the easiest cases to handle, but he took both of them on with confidence and determination that I truly believed he could help and he did! I will trust no one else with my legal needs again! Thank you Mr Brandt Bernstein and staff, you truly blessed our family and we are so thankful for all you did for us! Angels do walk among us!

Jeffrey Bernstein is extremely sarcastic and unfriendly. I felt I was fighting him and my ex during the legal proceedings. There is also a lack of communication from his office except when I terminated him. Unless you have a lot of money for him to be involved in, do not bother with this firm. I asked about final billing because I had zero communication on this and all of a sudden I have a balance that I owe. He stated he was going to waive, how nice, but failed to communicate this as well. I have not once received a billing statement and when I do ask for one, he wants to charge me.

If I could give Brandt 10 stars I would, I came to him after firing three other attorneys, my divorce was extremely complexed against a vigorous opponent. Mr. Bernstein took my case when I had lost all hope and faith in the justice system. Brandt was extremely empathic and stood up for my daughter and I. He made me feel secure and protected. He truly was an angel from beginning to end. I highly recommend Mr. Bernsteins services and his staff. Theyre a very knowledgeable firm and they take care of their clients. Dont waste your time or money anywhere else.

If I could give 10 stars I absolutely would! I will never stop expressing my gratitude to Brandt Bernstein and the work and care he put towards my custody case. I was actually represented by another law firm before being directed to Bernstein & Bernstein Law Firm. Brandt had 5 DAYS (literally) to put together a case for me, and in those 5 days he did more work for me than my other counsel did in 2 months! If you are looking for someone who will FIGHT for you and give you an immense feeling of security, please do yourself a favor and choose this law firm. Brandt has continously helped me out in multiple cases, successfully. Ive had several family lawyers throughout the years that havent given my case the thought and attention that Brandt has. Due to how complex my situation is, I wanted a lawyer that would actually care and listen. Im going to do my best to keep this brief but Mr. Brandt Bernstein gets to know his clients so well that hell probably roll his eyes at that statement because my Ill keep this short emails are probably taking up half the storage on his computer. In all seriousness, Brandt Bernstein is a unicorn in the legal field, and I spend all day surrounded by attorneys so I know. Hes a unique combination of legal knowledge, people skills, and dedication to doing whats right which is what makes him a successful attorney and someone you want by your side whether its estate planning, family law, or civil litigation. I hired Mr. Brandt Bernstein for a custody modification I was hoping would be a quick default but it turned into something entirely different. Throughout the case Mr. Bernstein remained committed, professional, patient, and calm despite the ridiculously unique and weird situations that periodically arose. I hope that I never have to use Mr. Bernstein again but if I ever find myself in a situation where I need an attorney, hell be my first call. My friends and family continuelly sing his praises because to say he went over and beyond is an understatement. I cant thank him enough for believing in me and protecting my daughter. On a side note, his dads not too bad either.

Brandt Bernstein handled my daughters child custody case in Bexar County against an attorney who had been in practice for 20+ years. Thank goodness this was during covid lockdown so the case was done over Zoom - because otherwise the judge would have seen me laughing at how cleverly Brandt was destroying the ex husbands arguments and fist punching the air when he nonchalantly got the ex to say something that cemented the case against him. He was calm, professional and kind throughout, but very effective. His primary concern is obviously the benefit of his clients and I felt his fees were reasonable. He was very thorough in explaining to my daughter in advance what her options were and how to go about things. My only wish is that he served in Hays county too because I need a good attorney there as well. I will highly recommend Brandt Bernstein to anyone who needs help with family law.

Brandt Bernstein represented me for a relinquishing of parental rights, so my daughter could further be adopted by my husband. This started out as an easy case, and got a little trickier towards the end. Also doing all this through a pandemic was a little more complex. Brandt was calm, funny, and got the job done. He made sure to make sure I knew what was going on at all times, even when some portions of our case took longer due to the response time of the Attorney General. His office adapted very well to the pandemic, and made electronic representation work, when in person would not have been applicable. I would HIGHLY recommend Bernstein & Bernstein to anyway needing family law. I am very grateful we found them, and hope more do too!

I would 100% wholeheartedly recommend Mr Bernstein!! We retained his services for our daughter in regards to her efforts to get child support for her youngest child. In all honesty Mr Bernstein shows the utmost honesty. We first consulted him when she first decided to go for child support in which Jeff recommended starting out just going through the state and seeing the what happened. As long as there were no issues he did not see the reason for us to spend our money needlessly if there were no objections from the father. Fast forward a few months and we re were back in Jeff s office retaining his services as the fathers family tried to object to several issues as well as make us pay for the attorney they chose to retain. Notice I say tried well that my friends is because Jeff is a bulldog once in the courtroom. He is absolutely professional but will put the best interest of the child(ren) first and foremost. Reminding (if needed) the parents to remember who the most important party in the court case truly is. One of the first remarks he made in the courtroom on our (my daughters ) case was Despite what court documents may say Mrs ***** is NOT my client. Her child is and I will do what is needed to ensure that he is properly provided for and taken care of . It was at this point that I knew that I had made the right choice for my grandson. If you are wanting someone to fight your ex to be vindictive or anything the like - - look somewhere else. BUT if you re looking for someone who will move heaven and earth to get what s best done for THE CHILD(REN) then Jeff Bernstein is your man!!!

My only regret throughout this nightmare was not finding and retaining Mr.Bernstein sooner. He was my 3rd attorney and it wasn t until I hired him that the harassment from the other party stopped. Mr. Bernstein is ethical in his practice, honest, and highly respectable in this city and in the courthouse/room. I never had to re-cap the details of my case, he paid close attention and remembered significant events and details. Any time I contacted Mr Bernstein him and his staff were prompt in returning my calls and I was informed that Mr. Bernstein was in court/with client, and would return my call. He always did, and when it mattered I never waited long to hear from him. It wasn t until Mr. Bernstein was representing me that I felt that someone was going to fight for my son and I. I really can t thank him enough. If you re looking for an attorney who will fight for you, Mr. Bernstein is it!!

I was client of Bernstein and he removed himself as my attorney 2 weeks before my hearing from a previous case.During the Bill of review as a result of that case he helped my ex-wife by giving her information about me to use at the bill of review court presidings. I knew something was up after he tapped my ex-wife on the shoulder in the presiding court room then they walked out together. Shame on you Jeffrey Bernstein

Very disorganized. Confused me with another client several times, mailed paperwork to the wrong address. Charged $1788 for an uncontested divorce, set up a court date without telling me, and now says the retainer has been spent. He is asking for an additional $900 to file for another court date (I was not in the state when he made a date, and found out after the fact...no call, no email). Claims an uncontested divorce is $1000, but the retainer is for contested, just in case. Also, never once, to date, has a billing statement been show, itemizing charges against the retainer.

If you have money to waste, then Jeff is your guy. Id like to state that he did not personally represented me but he represented the father of my children in a custody case, and boy did he get the shaft! He tries to twist your words to make you look bad. He is not organized, he confused my children with the children from another case he handles that had absolutely nothing to do with me. The evidence that was brought forth was over 4 years old which was irrelevant to the case. coming back from lunch we thought we had came to agreement but he wanted to continue arguing on behalf of his client, which i believe cost them the entire case. they say that lawyers should practice law ethically and him having years(shall I say decades of experience) in family law, should have known that when claiming an unfit parent there should have been HARD evidence to back it up. rather than just simple accusations.

Mr. Bernstein is a great attorney and I would definitely recommend him. He is worth every penny and Ill glad that i hired him for my case. He was quick to rebuttal and he never backed down from the opposing side. If I ever have to be in court again, Id want this guy on my team. This lawyer must have received his diploma from a cracker jack box. He was unfamiliar with the law regarding many aspects of my case. He had to ask me what the law was! He even falsified a motion regarding child support in order to fatten his wallet. I highly recommend you find a lawyer that knows what he is doing.
