Amy Geistweidt is hands down the best attorney I could have asked for. She was brilliant in court during my custody case and was ALWAYS so professional. She is kind and ethical and sharp as a tac. I cant say enough good things. I will continue to recommend Amy to everyone.

BEWARE of Michael Dominick let me save you your time and money before even considering using Michael Dominick for your services. First of all the receptionist who was very sweet I believe is coached to say whatever it takes to schedule the appointment. I was lied to, to feel comfortable enough to make the appointment. Was told the hourly rate and I said oh I most likely will only take up no more then 20 minutes, I only wanted to ask a couple of questions. She said no problem they will refund for whatever time I don t use. Which is the only reason I agreed to the appointment. I was there on time, was made to wait cause he was consulting with a colleague I was told, which was fine, walked into his office 15 minutes later. Was in his office almost 25 minutes before telling him that I don t think he is what I was looking for. At the front I asked about the refund and you can tell his frail ego was hurt and said we don t do that. And I explained then I was lied to and that now I feel conned into making the appointment because I never would have accepted knowing the truth. Said to contact billing and she was just plain rude. She then said that I am just mad because he wouldn t take my case lol oh honey I m sorry I think you have it twisted but it s his weak frail male ego that is mad that I didn t want him. She then dismissed me rudely. Maybe he needs the extra cash because he is the least paid lawyer in that office and was able to take my appointment instantly so that speaks volumes for his books. Maybe he will use the cash to tailor his poorly fit suit. I have the original phone call recorded on my home security cameras to prove I was told about the refund policy and I have the appointment voice recorded because I sometimes forget everything that was talked about during any sort of appointment and like to reference back, so I have time stamps and everything for the record Save yourself your time and just go somewhere else. He is smug and arrogant and likes the sound of his own voice because I tried to cut off the appointment much sooner as I realized ten minutes in he was not for me but he likes to go round and round repeating himself, probably to rack up the bill and justify himself. I will be going to everywhere and anywhere to leave my review, google, yelp, Reddit, Justia, Avvo, every San Antonio group on Facebook. I will google San Antonio lawyer review sites and leave my experience so people can take from it what they will.

One star is being generous I cannot in good conscience recommend Higdon, Hardy, & Zuflacht for family law in general and Mrs Ann Jamieson specifically. I am sure they do well for many people. Communication has been an issue, and I have found that she did not get good terms for me in my divorce decree. I had Mrs. Jamieson represent me in my divorce. After the divorce was finalized I had questions, mostly because I had never been through a divorce before. Mrs. Jamieson answered most of my questions very well, and very quickly. One day, however, I went to my children s school to get information, at Mrs. Jamieson s recommendation. I went for information only, and not to remove my children from school. Someone at the school, however, called my ex-wife and told her I was trying to remove the children from school. I was not, but still my ex-wife called her attorney, her attorney called Mrs. Jamieson, and Mrs. Jamieson emailed me. She did not even try to call. In the email, she accused me of trying to remove my children from their school. But, I was not trying to remove the children from the school. I was there to get information, like Mrs. Jamieson had recommended I do, since my children s mother had refused to help. After speaking with the principal, I got the information I was after, but only after leaving a copy of the divorce decree with the principal, and she the principal was able to read for herself that I was allowed to get information about my children. I then spent the next several days trying to contact Mrs. Jamieson by phone and by email. I still have the emails. After a few days I was very frustrated because I was not able to contact Mrs. Jamieson. She did not respond to my calls or my emails. Now, it has been quite a while since my divorce. My ex-wife was awarded the house and the mortgage, but the mortgage on the house still had both of our names. She failed to pay the mortgage consistently on the house, and she never refinanced it to take my name off it. So, with mortgage not being paid, it has negatively affected credit. My credit score has been into the 500s. Unfortunately, nothing in the divorce decree says my ex-wife had to do anything in any specific time. I thought I had good representation at the time of my divorce, but I had never been divorced before so I had nothing to go from. After the lack of communication and seeing how the divorce decree has not allowed me to protect myself financially or in many ways, I cannot in good conscience recommend Higdon, Hardy, & Zuflacht family law in general and Mrs Ann Jamieson specifically

If I could give a zero, I would. I paid Charles Hardy $500 for a consult regarding my hubbys military retirement. We were worried that his ex wife would come after his retirement. Hardy looked at the old divorce decree in MD and said that since hubby has retired in TX, the ex would have to come here to try an get his retirement since he lives here now. That sounded weird bc the divorce was in MD but we trusted Hardy. He said he would make a file for our concerns and if the ex came knocking, he would help us fight her because she wouldnt have a leg to stand on and the divorce decree was poorly written etc. Well guess what folks!!?? She came knocking and Hardy changed his tune and said we needed to get an attorney in MARYLAND! Then when we asked a follow up question, he just plain didnt even respond. We were no longer worth his time and the time he did give us was NEVER even properly prepared or researched. He said whatever would make us happy for that quick $500 consult fee. He was incredibly misleading. Shiester

I was referred to Michael Ireland via another attorney that spoke very highly of him. VERY glad I took his advice! Michael was able to get me in on short notice in dealing with a custody case and review my file quickly. He was very personable, yet professional, and very easy to communicate with. He s not afraid to call a spade and spade. He is easy to get ahold of, and is able to get right to the point (a plus if you re avoiding running up an unnecessary bill). As our case moved forward Michael was very persistent with his go get attitude and I have no doubts that are case was resolved the way it did because of his help. Had I had another attorney who was just along for the ride, our case would have likely been drawn out far longer than it needed to be and been far more expensive without the positive outcome. Lastly, with Michael, you can expect him to take your case to heart. Several times he referred to my children as our kids . He professionally made it personal. Thank you once again Michael Ireland, could not have done it without your persistence, knowledge, and expertise. You are highly recommended in my book!

Sure, Higdon, Hardy & Zuflacht is a prestigious and respected firm. And, for good reason. Probably for many good reasons. Amy Geistweidt is one of those reasons. I get to see family law attorneys work from a little different perspective. Their performance shows up in things like how well the final settlement accommodated (or, in some cases, sabotaged) a clients ability to obtain financing. I am impressed more and more with Ms. Geistweidt. In each case she performs superbly. She cares intensely about her clients and getting things right. But more, she understands a client doesnt just need a divorce decree entered with the court or deeds filed with county records. She understands that, after all is said and done, people need the other parts of their settlement to work - like getting the right financing for their buy-out. Amy gets it. Im so glad that she is a leader in the Texas legal landscape.

Michael has worked for me on a custody battle in the past as well as on a criminal case in the past and is currently working a tenant landlord case. One cannot put a price on a piece of mind, something I felt from very 1st consultation. Never did I question his integrity or knowledge. To me he brings to life the term to show up and show out. My favorite line when promoting him to someone I know seeking legal aid once you retain him you know he is in your corner because you talk to him often not an assistant or a voicemail or just emails Michael has answered the phone for me at 3 a.m. and has talked me through what could have turned into a panic attack. He is very capable of explaining all the legal terms and has never made me feel that my questions or concerns were ignorant. With all of this being said he is affordable and was happy to accept my payments I reccomend him to anyone seeking legal aid

Mr. Charles E Hardy is an incredible person and impressive family lawyer. After seeing his excellent ratings and long list of accolades, I contacted him to assist with my custody case. I can t express how appreciative I am for the compassion he demonstrated and for going above and beyond to help me. I was only able to afford a consultation with him and even though he knew that up front, he made me feel important, gave me great advice, really listened, & even took the time to personally reach out to a lawyer outside of his group who he felt would be a good fit for my scenario. Very professional. Came to this lawferm during a rough divorce. The first senior lawyer I talked to was very kind and understand. He actually passed me on to a junior lawyer to save me money. This proved to be a great choice. They asked for about $4500 up front to tap into as they work your case. Was pleased with my representation and would recommend to others.

Mr. Charles Hardy has been an absolute saint for my son, my family and myself! Hiring an attorney is a huge decision. We put a lot of trust in these individuals to make the right decisions for us and not their wallets. Charles is a fine human being, gentleman and attorney. Hes voted a SUPER ATTORNEY for a reason. Save your money and go get a law firm that actually cares for their clients. Spent 10,000 dollars In a 3 month period for emails and phone calls to my ex wife s lawyers. Never files anything never even fought for me, it s was there strategy to sit back and do nothing. And when My 10k retainer was gone the Attorney assigned to me files a motion to remove herself from the case. Classy real classy.. oh and her legal assistant is good friends with my wife s attorney. Go figure. SAVE YOUR MONEY DONT HIRE THESE THIEFS.

Harold Zuflacht seems nice, but makes decisions in his favor. Not yours! He will mislead you on purpose. Has no ethics. I wouldnt go to this Law Firm again or tell anyone else to!
