Great environment- the music was my favorite ( indie rock). I think it was a Tuesday, service was good but then see we took a lot on checking on us. I needed to stand up to ask for the check. My daughter and I were getting out the museum and were hungry and thirsty. The drinks didn t taste as described in the menu. Also were expensive, it at least there were good for the price. In addition, the kitchen was not open because they said it was Tuesday. This place has lots of potential.

Saturday night my friend and I went to Paramour made a reservation in advance for outside seating because of was my birthday and I wanted to be outside with the views. We get there and the initial girl at the front was very rude rolling her eyes looking annoyed and cant be bothered she tells us that there is a party that rented out the entire rooftop so its inside only and Im explaining to her that I made a reservation online for my birthday and that it was available online and she really couldnt care less just repeating herself. After some push back however she went to get assistance with the situation and brought back a literal ANGEL! STEVEN was amazing he used some out of the box thinking got me my rooftop seating for my birthday and really went above and beyond got us a round for the trouble and when I decided we would like to eat at Collette which is the adjoining restaurant he got us seated and taken care of immediately and continued to check on us through the night even though he was visibly very busy he made the extra effort and always with a genuine smile. Samara was our waitress at Colette and she was very kind attentive and down to earth. She took her time helping us navigate the menu and answered all questions with a very great attitude. Although upper management was changing out the menu and they only had one cook for a party of over 50 and an entire restaurant half of the entire menu was not actually available to order from the food we were able to order from was very good. The Carnitas dumplings and the truffle garlic aoli fritz were soo yummy!

Do not order wine here. They will tell you that the bottle is too far up to grab. I tried to order different bottles and kept getting turned down. The server Hancock H made my party wait forever just to serve other people and then come back to us 30 mins later to tell me they didn t have it. Very upset about that. I sat VIP and had never been to this place. Thought I d try it out and the service sucks. The host of the comedy show (Lnzy Andrews) was awesome and super funny. No complaints there but this place needs better servers. I was ready to spend money and just ended up drinking water the rest of the night. Super boring.

My wife and I spent a night in San Antonio celebrating our anniversary and came here Friday afternoon around 3pm just because we noticed it from the river walk. Food isnt sold until later in the day, so we had a couple of drinks and left--it was the windy weather that drove us out as I really enjoyed the ambiance and atmosphere--plenty of seating inside and outside with dogs allowed, at least when its early and empty--which was cool. Music was on target for the setting to complete the vibe--its beautiful outside! Service was friendly but slow and we were pretty much the only ones there, but thats also probably the issue--this is more of a nightclub scene than an early afternoon drink scene. Very pricey, but you only live once, and when Spring is past, so will be the wind. 4 stars.

Pretty disappointed. We found the bar on Tiktok and decided to go for a cute date night. We get handed a menu by a super nice bartender but pretty much after attempting to order like 5-6 things, we get told all the menu prices are wrong ($24 bourbon pour on the menu turns into $600!!!). They were trying to charge 2-4 times the bottle cost for a single pour which is insane. Ordered a few standard drinks for like $17-$20 each and they used bottom shelf well liquor. Its no wonder this place was dead on a Saturday night. Its a huge scam and very misleading.

I read these reviews but not till I was already on my way. So if you are going to chill and relax and get some apps, this is the place. Drinks are about $16 so if you are not used to these prices, go during happy hour before 5pm. Our server did offer us water and I made sure to make sure it was not Fiji water but home thrown SA water lol and it was. I forgot the bartender s name but he had gray eyes and did great!! It was a great time - going during a storm, less people. The avacado chips has endless chips for those on a budget. Expresso martini, for us older folks Was amazing! There is an elevator, but you know you need the exercise with a view.

Id also recommend the elevator if you dont want to climb the stairs to the 4th floor... But amazing staff; theyre super friendly and hospitable. They also have great drinks/cocktails that you dont typically see elsewhere. 10/10 would recommend!

I should have known the billing was sketch when we asked for water and they served us bottled Figi water. They add a 20+ something % surcharge/tip and don t make it apparent when you go to pay out. Be sure to ask for your itemized bill before you swipe your credit card. Our waiter made out nicely with a 45% tip. Well done! I am completely turned off by the lack of transparency (especially after reading your replies to similar reviews). Never again.

Well since you ask for a review, here was my experience on my 2nd visit to this establishment, arriving at 8:00 on a Saturday night, the experience was far from satisfactory. Despite a half-hour wait for our drinks, my beverage ended up spilled, and our second drink was left nearly untouched. As we left, assuming the tab was settled, we were chased down by our server, prioritizing payment over addressing the issues. Opting for Bar 1919 with a party of 6, we swiftly received well-crafted drinks like the Without a Trace. The stark contrast between Paramours prime downtown location and Bar 1919s lively atmosphere made me reconsider ever stepping foot in Paramour again.

The brunch was really cool and the performers were absolutely fantastic. This review is of no reflection of the show. The bar charges a 20% mandatory large party tip on a table for 2? Alright. I was also charged a menu item I did not order. The food wasnt great. Finally, the service was very slow. Watch your tab when paying - it is almost like they are hoping you are too drunk to notice the extra charges. Sorry, just not worth the $224 tab for 2 people. Part of that was a sneaky $47 tip due to me not noticing the $35 tip automatically added to the bill. I would have tipped *maybe* 15% based on the quality of service. $35 was not earned and the extra money I paid on that tip was a flat out scam.

The bars ambiance is fashionable and fabulous. The décor had good vibes going throughout the place. Not to mention ALL of the queens did amazing!! However, there were a few things that my friends and I took note of that bothered us. I bought tacos ($15) and it came with 4 mini tacos- each taco had at least 4-5 pieces of small meat.. I had tortillas left because it wasnt enough meat to make a taco. NOT FULLFILLING. My friend got french toast (it came with berries) and she didnt receive her berries. Our waiter told us there werent any berries AND syrup????? It states on the menu there is a buffet from a certain time.. NO BUFFET. My other friend got the chorizo chilaquiles... they had not chorizo so they put bacon. There was no communication either.. What if she was allergic or would have wanted something else? We asked for the $40 bottle and they said they only had the $55 bottle. They didnt have tap water, only Fiji water bottles... but we looked over and an employee was drinking out of a glass cup. Overall, the communication, misinterpretation of the menu and food handling did not work in our favor.

The food situation, however, was HORRENDOUS. I have never been served food this disgusting in my life. Ordered the tacos and they tasted like they took refried beans straight from the can and slapped them into a tortilla. They were definitely not cooked and the whole thing was cold. The chillequiles were just chips with cold salsa dumped on them. I seriously do not know how they can serve this food with a straight face. Especially for the price. Definitely eat before you go.

The place is beautiful! Decor and the atmosphere is definitely instagram worthy! Drinks are average. Food . no idea because it took an about to get an hour for an update about when our food would be out. Not a problem sometimes food can be worth the wait. It s the service that really made my self and my party disappointed. Everyone was friendly, but being a server my self I always appreciate honesty. I saw there was only two servers so I assume short staff, so we waited patiently for waters to be refilled, orders for drinks/food. When I know we are short staff and it s not busy I try my best to entertain my guest with constantly checking up on them. Or just letting them know it is short staff so to bare with them but instead we were met with attitude and sass from our server. I hope she has a better night maybe it was because she had another big table but if she was just honest and apologetic it would ve made waiting a hour less disappointing. BTW we had to cancel our food because it took too long and it was already 11 and we order around 9:45. Wheelchair accessibility: Hard no. Elevators are apparently for employees only and if you dare to use it you risk getting stuck in the building. Chairs are hard to move on turf grass. All tables are pretty close together and aisles are very tight to move around .

My recent experience at Paramour was nothing short of a trainwreck. In an attempt to provide a fair assessment, I must highlight the numerous disappointments I encountered during my ill-fated visit. First and foremost, the elevator situation was perplexing and inconvenient. As a customer, being denied access to the elevator on the 4th floor is an absurd expectation. Its astounding that the management hasnt prioritized basic accessibility for their patrons. Even more concerning was the owners outrageous response to a simple restroom request. Instead of addressing the situation with tact and understanding, the owner resorted to calling the police and lying, stating he seemed drunk which was far from the truth. Such behavior is not only unnecessary but also highlights a severe lack of professionalism. I understand this was on part of the building owner, not the bars management, but must be considered. Once inside the bar, the lack of air conditioning was immediately noticeable. Its unfathomable that in this day and age, an establishment fails to provide a comfortable environment for its guests. The absence of air conditioning made for an uncomfortable and stifling experience, which detracted from any enjoyment one might have hoped for. Adding insult to injury, the mandatory brunch buffet was an absolute disaster. The subpar quality of the food left much to be desired, making the obligatory payment feel like an unjustifiable expense. Its disheartening when an establishment prioritizes profit over providing a pleasant dining experience. As if the disappointments werent plentiful enough, the bar enforced a two-drink minimum on overpriced beverages. This is a clear attempt to extract more money from unsuspecting customers, further contributing to the sense of being taken advantage of during the visit. Servers also wouldnt allow us to order tea or coffee in leu of alcoholic beverages for the minimum. While the staffs lack of attentiveness was apparent, the saving grace of the evening was the presence of talented drag performers. However, relying solely on the entertainment value of the drag performers is hardly a redeeming factor for an establishment that fails so profoundly in other aspects. I suggest to the performers, to look for work elsewhere. i would suggest Picks on 1604. In conclusion, my visit to Paramour was marred by a series of missteps and disappointments. From the inaccessible elevator to the owners inappropriate response, the lack of air conditioning, the terrible brunch buffet, and the exorbitant drink minimum, there is little reason to recommend this place to anyone. I urge potential patrons to seek other options that prioritize customer satisfaction and basic standards of hospitality.

Stopped in yesterday night to check out this place because I thought it looked like a pretty cool spot. Went to the bar with my friend to order a drink, and asked the bartender for a cocktail menu and she said that they didnt have one. So she said she could make any drink we wanted & she gave us some recommendations on drinks. The drink she recommended sounded great, so we went with her recommendations. Drinks took 10+ minutes, so we just had one drink each. When we went to pay for our tab, our tab for 2 drinks was $54 without tip. The bartender didnt tell us that she was going to give us a mezcal that was a $100+ bottle while the drink was $36. So I asked for the manager and shortly he came out with a COCKTAIL MENU, and said the price is right here on the menu, whats the problem. I dont remember his name but he was short with white hair. He also appeared to be super intoxicated as he was slurring his speech, prior we saw him at the bar drinking before with the drag girl. When he walked over with the menu we were super upset because we were told that they didnt have a drink menu. I told him it wouldve been nice to know this cocktail was $36, when I told him we were upset with the price he proceeded to take cash out of his pocket and was trying to give me cash to make up for it, like what???? He proceeded to call me a liar that I didnt know that this was a higher end cocktail, and told me that he takes his bartenders word over mine. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL. He told me that hed be right back (which we thought he was going to fix the situation), but then disappeared. I work in the service/restaurant industry and Ive NEVER experienced anything like this. I will never be back & I will never recommend this place to anyone. Beware when coming to this place.

The drag show is amazing. All the queens do an amazing job, but the service is terrible. They don t plan seating properly AT ALL. They have zero organization skills to make sure all customers are accommodated. If you re seated outside, they forget about you 100%. It took them 30 min to come to us AFTER I went to the manager and even then it took another 10. They took our drink order but it took another 30 min before I had to go to the bar to remind him. They lack the umbrellas needed for outside. One section has two overhang ones, but forget about the rest. There was about another 20 people outside who had zero coverage. Paramore needs to get its act together, get more servers, and treat its customers better.

The bar is on the 4th floor. We were told the elevator is only for employees. So, we climbed 4 flights of stairs - which are on the outside of the building - in 95 degree heat. When we finally got to the bar and asked for a glass of water we were told that the water was not free. Yes, the view is nice. But, there were only 5 people in the bar at 10pm on a Friday night. Don t know how they stay in business. Never going back.

Went during drag brunch and the atmosphere was great, our waitress was great and the performers were incredible. However, when it came to food and seating accommodations it was really disappointing. We had reservations but when we arrived they didn t have enough seating so we were seated in the back having to use a bench as a table. There was an all you can eat brunch buffet for $20 but all that was served was CHIPS (salsa already on the chips so they were soggy), scrambled eggs (which they ran out), French toast, potatoes and fruits. Did not seem fitting for the cost. Also if you rely on your performers to bring in the money to your establishment (because it wasn t the food) at least have an ATM.

2 Stars for the drag brunch- both stars are for the entertainment because the performers were very fun. If you go to brunch, they force you to buy a $20 buffet that has literally 4 items; French toast, fruit, chilaquiles, and some kind of egg scramble. While the food was fine, it was nowhere close to being worth $20 and you are forced to purchase. Drinks are $18. They taste fine, but definitely not worth $18. You are also charged $5 per water bottle, whether you drink it or not. My husband and I got charged for the buffet, 2 drinks at $18/each, 1 margarita at $10, and two water bottles at $5 each- somehow the total was $125 not including a tip- definitely some creative accounting going on. This is after the $40 we spent to go to the show. So after all was said and done we spent well over $200. Not worth it and won t be back.

Atmosphere was nice! The DJ was great! The entertainment (a dancer in a hoop) was subpar. The establishment was nicely decorated and the bar has an assortment of cocktails/drinks to choose from. The drinks were overpriced starting at about $18. The food was also over priced and and started at about $18 for six under seasoned chicken wings and about the same for loaded fries. Be prepared to shell out a lot of cash when visiting this establishment.

Besides the view and scenery. The customer service is awful. So I purchased the tickets for brunch, theres no indication of where the entrance is at, as I was looking for the entrance I saw the outdoor stairs, and for some reason I figured that it was the entrance, then once I get there, the door was locked, I knocked and nobody opened, so when back downstairs. By that time another party of people was also looking for the entrance, finally someone find a door open, we went through and took the elevator, when we arrive to the bar, one of the managers said, where did you come from and we all said the elevator. He said you guys werent supposed to come through the elevator the antrance is by the outdoor stairs, I explained to the manager what had previously happened and that nobody had answered the door so we assumed that wasnt the entrance. Then we proceeded to take available seats, we waited for approximately 1 hour until we got served and in a very rude way. By that time,I had it with that place, I asked to speak with the manager who happened to be the same person that I asked Where we come from?. After I explained my concerns about all situations, he said, Theres really nothing I can do, for every customer we lose we gain 10 more because this palace is very popular. That was the last time I stepped on that place.

Good but not great drag show. Way overpriced for the very watered down drinks (2 drink mininum @ $18/each or $5 for a half-bottle of Fiji water). Brunch buffet is an additional $20 on top of your ticket price, and is nothing to write home about. Be prepared to climb four stories of stairs to get to the club level. If youre not willing to pre-commit to spending $100/person in alcohol to get an inside reservation, then prepare to sit outside in the direct sun. Bring sunscreen. Wait staff was slow. This place could be improved with better communication and transparency, better service, and not constantly encouraging patrons to be dangerously overserved(likely the reason for the watered down drinks).

We went to see the Sunday drag show, and while the show and entertainers were lovely and extremely talented, I can t say I would recommend the venue. The show didn t start on time, and there were multiple mentions of a dress code on their website with little clarification as to what it was. Turns out there was nothing to worry about because it seems like they weren t enforcing one. I would suggest removing any mention of a dress code because it just creates more confusion in its current form. We were not the only ones confused by it. Drinks start at $18 and it took 40 minutes from ordering to receiving our first drink. It took a similar amount of time to receive our second drink and by then the show was almost over. Not the level of service I expected for the price I paid. The show not starting on time isn t a big deal, but the slow service left a bad impression with us and is the reason for the two stars. It seems like they are trying to create an upscale environment and they have prices to match, but they really need to improve the level of service. We probably won t be back, which is a shame.

The intention was to have a few drinks and food. First and foremost, this is not handicap accessible. My friend was on crutches, and no one was downstairs for elevator access. We did get free shots for the trouble of climbing the 4 flights of stairs and were able to ride the elevator down. We were given the menu and ordered some drinks and food. Multiple servers had to ask us what we had ordered. We were informed the frozen margarita machine was not working due to the temperature outside and we took our drink over ice. Drink order still came out wrong. They fixed it by giving us the flavor syrup in a shot glass. We were informed the kitchen was closed so no food. They do not offer complimentary water, you have to buy bottles of water. I also had a $50 charge held on my card for almost a full week! This is considering i closed out my tab with the same card. I attempted to call to discuss the charge and left a message with no return call.

When I went for the drag brunch (I am sober) the server/bartender told me it was a 2 drink minimum for each person. Literally no other place does that? When I told her I don t drink she said the rule still stands, and I need to get drinks even if it was coke. Because we ordered two cokes she did not acknowledge us after that and then when the bill came, she added gratuity like we were a party of 6 (it was just 2 people). If you don t drink you should be allowed to go and enjoy a drag brunch. Especially if it is not notated on the ticket/purchasing system that you need to purchase 2 drinks per person!! The show was amazing, and so was the atmosphere, I have been to plenty of bars and just drank water but the bad service really overshadowed the show. The manager was nice and took care of the issue but I will never go back. Even the hostess rolled her eyes when I pointed out my server and said that the server should not be like that and she does it to everyone.

Gotta give a shout out to Paramour mgr Russell. I have yet to visit this Riverwalk rooftop bar even as I have been invited for private parties. So one weeknight last month I took diego to VFW post 76 and Riverwalk to get him out of house. I notice Paramour look closed for a weeknight. I decided to take him up the 4 flights of stairs for exercise. Assuming it was closed for night. NOPE it was open and since mijo loves looking at restaurants/bars I approach a bartender for permission. Maybe 2 customers for this early evening. I ask if we can look around and I m his father. She waved over a mgr type name Russell. Repeated my request to just walk around with son. We reviewed TABC briefly and club rules. Russell chose to escort Diego around rooftop to answer his questions or share information. Yep Diego was in other world mentally & stimming but did interact with Russell. I was about to explain to Mgr about diego s autism body language and how he is actually listening to us adults talking. Mgr Russell simply turn around and stated wife/gf has a autism child so at our bar introduction he already size up diego s body language. I was so thankful he took 5 min from his manager duties to follow us but specially his patience with Diego. The 280deg view of city was remarkable. I believe this was the 1st new bldg after our Museum Reach Rivewalk 2009 Grand Opening. Please consider Paramour for your future date nights
