Nice place to chill and enjoy a cold drink. Its away from everything and in its own setting with outdoor seating. The music was a little too loud but overall thumbs up. The bartender was courteous and respectful

Hill Country tap is off the beaten path. If you need to get away from the hustle and bustle this place is for you. Relax with a cold drink or grab some delicious treats. It has a nice outdoor set up too!

We enjoyed this place and keep going back but it is never open. Went on a Friday recently and food truck was closed. Too bad because it is an awesome venue.

Cute & improving! Parking is very limited. :/ Separate taco truck is decent (El Matador). Bar offers personal pizzas (from local place Above Ground Pizza), & a good variety of drinks. Needs more food and entertainment (daily live music). 100% outdoors, bring bug spray.

The strawberry Margaritas was delicious but the tacos from the food truck were the worst I have ever had. Very pricy with very little flavor. If I go back I will bring my own snacks and just enjoy cocktails.

We had the best time at Hill Country Tap! Great environment, wonderful live music, awesome hoodies when you forget a coat! Jake was awesome and accommodating with the hockey game so we didn t miss our team! We will be frequenting here more often!

What a great little bar!!! We stopped in and had a couple of drinks ... cute outdoor courtyard area with games, Cornhole, plenty of seating ... Nice set up! Grabbed some yummy food from the food truck and that was really good! Owner said they have live music either Friday or Saturday nights - so well definitely be back for that! Go check it out!

My husband and I went to Gruene for our anniversary. Stayed at the cabins right next to the hill country tap, and I m pretty sure out of our entire four days there, we enjoyed being at this bar the most. Pete was absolutely wonderful, and made us feel right at home! Definitely will be back again, and this will be our spot!

Beer and atmosphere were great. Taco truck needs work. Nothing special,two tacos with cheese and avocado plus order of street tacos for 25 dollars. Ordered flour torteas and got corn. Way over priced for what you get. Went up road to lazy j cajon and it made my day. Yummy!

Hill Country Tap is my new go to spot. Such a relaxed, comfortable ambiance. I don t think I have ever had a better first impression at a bar. Very welcoming and friendly staff. They definitely made it feel like they were personally grateful to have us there at their place. A lot of times I feel like that goes overlooked, but I was made sure that I was taken care of and that my experience was of the most utmost importance. Great spot for a date night. As someone who frequents bars, I assure you that you will not be disappointed and will happy.

If possible I would give Hill country tap more than 5 stars. This place has the perfect relaxing and chill setting along with great Fresh margaritas. We like the spicy and watermelon margaritas. My wife is a old fashion drinker and she says they have the best. They also have a good beer selection. The staff and owners are very nice and knowledgeable. Definitely our new favorite place! There is a food truck in the parking lot as well. Great street tacos!

This little place is the cutest! Great margaritas and lots of choices for beer! The bartender was the sweetest and the owner was there helping out making sure we were taken care of. It s a really great location too. Just a really great spot for a chill vibe.

Hill Country Tap Room is a small, quite indoor/outdoor bar off 1102 on the outskirts of New Braunfels. They have your typical bottled domestic, imports, & local beer. They have some bomb margaritas & ranch waters. Enjoy some live music, yard games and a few tvs. There s a food truck in the parking lot if you need something to munch on.
