Great little park and trailhead. Trails could use better marking and on site maps are not very easy to read (outdated?). Once you sort the ins and outs of the trails it is a great place to walk or ride from.

This is a great place to walk, jog, or bike. The trails are well-maintained and there are water fountains everywhere. The playground is above average. The only major downside is that the only restroom option is a porta-potty. I also wish there was a playground for toddler aged kiddos.

What Dreams May Come A Beautiful Day for a stroll in Leon Valley Cathedral Rock Park is one of those places where children are able to enjoy their amazing blessings. Families, couples, auld bird watchers like me. Bicycles and puppies too. Breeze and sunshine the best of SAT in the beautiful shade of the copious bushes, and trees. Well, no turkeys so far however its been great and the Cardinals are easy to spot in the brush. Friendly folks, warm weather and made for all, as well as handicapped accessible and easy to navigate. My RBK Prostetic Fred is very pleased and I go along with him. Enjoy.

This park is very nice, well shaded by trees, my only complaint is the porta potty reeks (but those always do). The playground is varied, plenty to sit or grill, and the trail it leads to is gorgeous. If you re curious you ll find two meditative spots to see nearby, one under a large tree, and another at some giant shelved stone facing a short cliff

On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, I tagged along with the friendly senior citizens of the Doris Griffin Senior Center as they take a bus load on a walking field trip program calledWalkers On The Go chaperoned by Moe. Sad to say, Linda DeSimone decided to abandon the bus beforehand and departed elsewhere. Cathedral Rock Park has amazing concrete paved pathways and bridges along the beautiful Balcones Rock Fault landscape as the deer roam free and wild. Theres a childrens playground, porta-potties, handicap parking, and lots of shaded paved pathways. It makes one sense that they are in the wilderness Hill Country on Grissom Road.

This park is fantastic! I love the long winding trails that allow for either a peaceful stroll or a lengthy hike. The nature-esque landscapes are amazing and offer the calmness of serenity amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Some parts are well shaded while other parts have a lot of direct sun exposure (so plan accordingly). This can be a busy park, so best to get a parking spot at the front and then decide which direction you want to go. Im not sure if there are maps available for the trails, but it seems easy enough to navigate. Jogging, biking, hiking, dog walking, and maybe even a nice picnic is all possible at this location. Highly recommended for anyone looking to increase their physical activity! Dog-friendliness: Have walked my dog along the trails here several times without issue. Responsible pet owners should bring their own baggies to pick up after them, but I believe this park may have stations with baggies available (though it should never be assumed that they will always be available).

Very nice trail with kids park. The trail goes all the way to Grissom and Ingram and I believe North West right by Ingram Mall if Im not mistaken about the street name. This time of the year the weather Id very beautiful and you can easily walk or bike or jog on this trail. Ive seen it all. The scenery is very beautiful too. My biggest challenge is people having their pets poop all over the place and not pick up afterwards, even on the pavement. Other than that, its a beautiful trail.
