This is a unique place in Texas and the United States history. The Mission has plenty of parking and lots of signage to explain the historical importance. You can wander around freely at your own pace. In addition to the church and outbuildings, there is a beautiful gift store and cafe with plenty of inviting tables and of course A/C. The prices for food and drinks in the cafe were very reasonable. I loved the artwork made by local school children on the walls. Parents can actually have a moment of peace and quiet while drinking coffee because they set up a kid table with coloring pages and books. Such a good idea and it kept my children occupied for a long time. Be sure to check out the interactive exhibit in the adjoining space. The restrooms were very clean and well kept. I would love to come back for Mass sometime. Definitely visit if you havent already.

I have been told that not many people venture beyond the Alamo, and they are truly missing out. The inside of the Mission Concepción was stunning. I didnt make it on time for the mariachi Sunday Service, but I was able to talk briefly with the priest, and he was so nice and welcoming. This one is a bit smaller grounds wise than the rest but still worth the stop.

Mission Concepción Park Trail is a great spot for a leisurely walk or bike ride. There is plenty of free parking, which is convenient. The trail is easy and fully paved with minimal elevation, making it accessible for all fitness levels. The scenery is beautiful, offering a peaceful escape. Although my route didn t have a lot of shade, I still enjoyed it immensely. Its a wonderful place to get some fresh air and take in the sights. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore a scenic and easy trail!

My wife and I are very happy we decided to visit this beautiful Texas landmark before we left San Antonio. The work that has been done to restore and preserve this piece of history is outstanding. The Ranger that was outside was friendly and informative. Im glad we approached him before trying to enter. Otherwise, we wouldnt have known to enter through the back door since the front door is inoperable. Once inside, we were amazed at the history within the walls. Highly recommended everyone stop here on their trips to or through San Antonio. Especially if youre interested in history and historical sites.

Of all five San Antonio missions, this was my favorite on the inside. The interior of the mission church is colorful and beautiful. I believe this mission was the most original (vs. restored in the 1930s) There are several panels explaining what you are seeing. Free parking and not crowded. Definitely worth a stop. Entirely free.

Me and my cousins went on a mini adventure while I was visiting. Im from Wyoming and was not familiar with the Spanish influence on Early Texas. This mission had a fantastic volunteer who provided in-depth information and was very engaging. Not only was the volunteer fantastic but so was the actual building. It was a gorgeous cathedral and was very well preserved. I highly recommend visiting the missions in San Antonio if you have some time on your hands.

The Five Missions of San Antonio are a must see for anyone visiting the area. The Alamo is of in the heart of the River Walk, but the other four mission are along what is known as the Mission Trail. Walk or bike along a beautifully paved area. Each mission is about 2.5 miles from another. I would suggest starting a visit at one on the end of the trail and walk to the next one. This would be 5 miles round trip. I did this two day and visited all four. This rates as one of my top highlights visiting San Antonio and free.
