I really hate to keep rating these Texas breweries at 5 stars!! But, again this place has fantastic beer! Service is outstanding! Inside and outside service. You really need to stop here. I didnt try the food.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Im from Houston or I would be here far more often than would be good for my liver ha. But yeah their beers are awesome they always have several different dank ipas which I love. The Pineapple Bomb is especially dear to my heart as is the OG Flagship - soul doubt. I hunt out past Rocksprings and they sell soul doubt at the lil Lowes grocery store in Rocksprings (YES!!!!!) I buy a six pack every time I go through town to try to make sure they keep it in stock, its the finest IPA you can get way out in the Hill Country like that. Its actually pretty surprising they have it there I love it. Either way I digress hahaha, this Brewery is awesome they have great pizza and food too. Seriously if I was closer Id go here at least once a month if not once a week. One of my favorites in TX. They have a big cooler with a bunch of beers for sale to go of course too. Love it. Good kids menu too, I added a pic.

My husband and I had a wonderful meal here. It was our first time, so we asked our server, DiCarlo, what he recommended. He was super helpful, and we took his advice. He also brought us complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was delicious. We ordered the artichoke and goat cheese dip. We also ordered a medium pizza that was half carnivore & Batastrophe. All the food was delicious and affordable. We will be back.

Cold beer and tasty food! Love their beer selection - there is something for all tastes. One of our favorite things to order is a large pizza - make it half Supreme Batastrophe and half Meathead Pizza. This combination is a winner! Their Freetail Salad with cilantro lime salad and Cobb Salad are also fresh and filling. There is a good amount of seating inside as well as a covered patio for outside seating. Flight lesson and a pretzel with cheese sauce and mustard. Nice looking pizzas coming out too! Nice selection of beers and homemade rootbeer as well. This is an awesome local brewery with good food and a wide variety of beer. I was very impressed with all of the beers I tried, especially their sour beer! I recommend getting a flight in order to try as many styles as possible. The food was tasty as well, especially the brisket queso. They are kid friendly and have a dedicated kids menu. The outdoor patio area is a nice place to hang out if the weather is good. Service was friendly and our food came out quickly. Overall a great place to visit if you enjoy beer!

First time here. I had the La Muerta Smoked Imperial Stout with Raspberry. Yum My wife had the Texicali Brown Ale. It was a clean, crisp brown. The gyro was pretty good. My wife loved the B.A.T. sammich (Bacon Avocado, Turkey) Elena was great. Attentive and offered great suggestions. Stop on in for great beer and eats.

We were shopping at the Northstar mall, and we were looking for a brewery we had not been to. This popped up in our search. Even though it was not on our way home, we decided to visit this brewery. Its a little deceiving as it is on top of a hill. Approaching the brewery, we noticed it has outdoor seating. Thats an added plus. We went inside and had no problem in being seated right away. We didnt wait to long for a bubbly, energetic server to approach our table (Elena). Being our first time there, I asked her for suggestions on beers based on my likes, and she made a few. Its so refreshing when you have a server that knows her products. I was pleasantly surprised that they offered hummus and pita bread or chips. While it was good, it needed a little bit more flavor (hummus). Other than that, it was good. I also ordered the Freetail BAT with tomato basil soup. I am glad that I did. The soup was nice and creamy, and the sandwich was spot on. The bread was soft, bacon nice and crispy, and the avocado ripe and creamy all that just made the BAT so YUMMY . My husband had the Gyro and chili cup. He enjoyed his food even though the chili was fire Our beers were pleasantly tasty as well. Our server, Elena, was superb. If you are looking for a chili brewery, then check this out. I would highly recommend it. One thing that I would recommend is the lighting. Its pretty bright, perhaps turn it down, just a skosh. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Well, Im not a beer drinker, but the ones who are seem to love their beers. The pizza is pretty good, but not as good as the pizza I make. The saving grace is that I dont have to make it! There is indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is dog friendly, so you can enjoy your point with your chewy chomp, your four pawed date, aka our full time body guard. Enjoy!

The atmosphere is like a sports bar. It is a little difficult to hear the conversation going on at your table because it is a bit loud. I assume its due to the echo throughout the building. The flavor was good but unfortunately the pizzas were a bit soggy in the middle. They do have a good selection of beers to choose from. The sangria could be a little sweeter though. Prices were about average.

Been coming here this year but lately its been lacking. Last time I ordered a margarita pizza and they gave me the wrong cheese on it and claimed it was, manager reviewed and determined I was correct and waved the bill. Well today, fathers day, its not packed but the lack of servers seems to be an issue. Ordered light sauce for my daughters pizza and it was not light at all, shes didnt eat it. Food is really slow. Took about 20 minutes just to get chips and salsa.

The chili was good, I thought the beer I ordered was a sample when the server brought it out, not the pint I expected. Was with a group on one side but our waitress was too busy with tables on the patio. The bread I ordered, never came so I decided to leave and paid $1.50 for toast I never saw! Updating: place is still amazing. The pizza is fantastic and one of my favorite places to visit. This place is a really awesome brewery. I love it here. The food is amazing and there is a drink for just about anyone. They have sours, stouts, IPA, meads, reds and etc. They change up there menu so it never gets boring. Ive been here so many times I cant believe Ive never reviewed it before now! One of the more well established craft breweries in San Antonio this Northside location is definitely the more customer-oriented venue of the two Freetail locations. Both locations serve great craft beer, have excellent customer service but this location FEELS like a place that is set up to serve patron who want good food and great beer served on site. They also have canned beer to-go and they do growler fills and sell growlers if you dont have one.

A very nice place to relax and just eat. They have a nice selection of craft beer and ciders to choose from. There is a lot of food to choose from. I recommend the Philly cheese steak with brisket. The pizzas are really good as well. The only bad thing I would say about our visit is that they didnt staff correctly for the amount of business they had and there was only one waitress for the whole restaurant. She did a fantastic job however under the circumstances. We will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu and the beers

I really enjoy this place. Ive probably been here a dozen times or more since theyve opened. Theres plenty of room inside and out. Freetail brews their own beer, so youre always treated to a selection of new experiences and returning favorites. Our server was amazing. They have merch for sale, in case you need to add a new pint glass to your collection (I know I have two, at least). The patio is dog- and (sometimes smoke-) friendly. The food is alright, but the primary reason I go? Day drinking (go figure). Grab your buddies and give this place a try.

First time stopping by, and was not disappointed in anyway. I ordered the garlic cheese bread and the Italian BBQ pizza. The bartender offered an excellent selection of their Scotch Ale which presented with more wood and barrel like characteristics.

Such a gem. Come here to meet up with friends. Come here to have some great beer and eat with family. Just come if you like beer. No need to go get overpriced and so-so beer in other places in SATX. They have a outdoor eating area if you want to bring your dog, also has a ton of big screens to watch the game. Great place. The staff are great, the food is amazing, and the beer is top notch.Come here. I wish I lived nearby- Id come hear all the time.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We tried the Strawberry rhubarb beer and were pleasantly surprised. We also tried the Freetail BAT sub. It had bacon, Avocado, cheese, tomatoes and lettuce. It was absolutely delicious! The pizza, pretzel, and cheesy bread. All of them were fabulous! We will be back!

As a brewery they are top notch. They have amazing beers. As a restaurant they are okay. The pizza is good but not great. Its is a good spot to drink and grab some food but dont expect mind blowing food. Come for the beer.

This was my first time going to freetail. Let me tell you this place has great food great beers and maybe be the best service I have had in a long time. Eric had us all super impressed. The kids never had to ask for refills or remind him what they were drinking. Eric has a great knowledge of the food and drink menu and was over all awesome. I dont remember the greater name but he was super helpful and was smiling the whole time even when they super busy. When we walked in he promptly had us seated and made sure we were comfortable. Over all they have the best staff I have ever seen!!!Keep it up freetail staff!!!! We will be back!

We came on a busy Sat night. We were both servers previously, we know it can get crazy. We waited an hour for food, other people came well after us and got their food and left. The waiter and manager said it was just really busy. No offer to make it right, manager said to ask for him next time, never said his name. There will not be a next time if Eric is your server I hope he remembers to get you a beer or put in your order

This was my 2nd time eating at Freetail Brewery. I ordered the Greek pizza with red onions. The pizza came out fresh and hot, the crust was crispy and the pizza was full of flavor. The medium size pizza was just enough to feed 2 people. Along with the pizza I tried the free tail wit beer, served with an orange slice. The beer had good flavor and was better than many of the similar style beers Ive tried other places. Service was decent, and food came out after about 15 minutes. Our waiter came by several times to check on our drinks and make sure we didnt need anything. Prices were OK, I would consider them a bit on the high side, but the food and beer was good.
