You might think that because Cappyccinos is the cheaper, more casual, more accessible version of Cappys that this is an inferior restaurant. This could not possibly be more wrong. There is nothing I can say about the food that I can know for sure will apply a year from now because the Cappyccinos menu is constantly evolving. And by evolving I mean this in the good way. The bartenders know their drinks inside and out, too. Unlike Cappys, which is constrained by its owner, Cappyccinos gives its talented staff a greater level of creative freedom, and this shows in the menu. Ive had one of the best burgers in my life here, and every time Ive visited there is something new. (I might be banned for these reviews though, because unfortunately there is That Kind Of Owner. So, fingers crossed.) And, yes, it is a good date spot. If you want to go here for lunch or a date or a night out, show up during late lunch or early dinner or, if you must, two hours before closing. (Please do not be that person who shows up just before closing. Cappyccinos is unique in that many duties are handled by many different roles, so this will burden the staff more than it would at other restaurants.) Theres a wellspring of potential at Cappyccinos, and I suspect that my review will be dated when the restaurant gets even better.

This review is long overdue! My mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and I visited Cappyccino s over Memorial Day weekend. I live in a city of about 25,000 people, Cappyccino s is a perfect example of why I like to visit bigger cities, especially for the good!! The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and eclectic. Every single team member we came in contact with was kind and friendly! I remember our server engaging with us in conversation, and it was just a wonderful conversation. We really appreciated his intentionality with us! We ordered the pretzel as an appetizer - the chili pequin jam was to die for! I ordered the combo with a cup of white bean chili and a half cranberry turkey. I loved the cranberry citrus relish. We had an overall positive experience! Our server had shared that Cappyccino s has other sister restaurants around the city. If we had more time, we definitely would have visited them! Thank you, Cappyccino s!!

The waitstaff was highly attentive. We had no less than three people come to check and make sure we were taken care of. The antelope burger wasn t as amazing as I hoped it would be. With it being a leaner meat, it needed more dynamic seasoning to match its dryer texture and that didn t happen. However, the Ruben sandwich was really great albeit a little small for the price. The tomato and Gorgonzola soup was quite tasty although it would have been better had the skin from the tomatoes been removed. It caused you to chew your soup which for some would be ok, but I think for texture people, not so much. Atmosphere is pretty nice. I enjoyed it overall, but I also don t think I would go out of my way to return. However, I wouldn t avoid it either if that makes sense. I could have easily spent $30 less somewhere off Broadway and got equally good food.

We visited for the 1st time today and found out we have been missing out on one of the best in all the frequent trips we make to San Antonio! Everything is fresh made and delicious! We wish we could have tried everything on the menu. All wait staff and the chef are very friendly. Chef and all staff really enjoy what they do and results are clearly quality good food, friendly atmosphere and economical! We will visit again on our next trip. One of our favorites now!!!

The Cubano sandwich was incredible, the smoked pork shoulder really made it delicious. Highly recommended of your in the area. It was so good that we went back the next day, the sandwich combo was also delicious. This ends our days in San Antonio, Cappyccinos will be missed.

Lots of parking. Sign over windows but not on door. Separate restaurant with different menu on outside terrace - same owner. Plenty of staff. Order taken quickly. Food slow to arrive. Difficult acoustics. Loud - even only half full. Hard wooden benches - but surprisingly comfortable

Had a GREAT lunch at Cappyccino s today (11-22-23). Chicken salad sandwich, veggie burger, caesar salad, pozole, house made chips, beverages and service were all VERY good. Good ambiance/inviting and clean bathrooms. All of Cappy s restaurants are really good at delivering satisfying experiences. Vegetarian options: My picky, vegetarian lunch mate said that their veggie burger was very good.

We had accidentally gone to Cappy s the weekend before a bad with raw fried chicken. But we wanted to come back to try the sandwich shop. We love going to sandwich shops. We ordered the Turkey Cobb. Both my Mom & I asked each other what we thought. I was wondering if she tasted the turkey meat, to me it tasted terrible. Old & had an awful smell. Right away she said the turkey meat is bad it had a nasty after taste. The waitress was not attentive & rude. Took the meat out & just had toast basically. Would not recommend this place, there are some wonderful sandwich shops around town that serve fresh, quality sandwiches & have great customer service. This place was not it

Great place for those who likes diversity in the Menu. From Hummus thru Pozole (middle east and Mexico in the same table). Well, the Hummus I ordered was a kind of cheakpeas light spread....I didnt feel the lime, the cumin, the garlic.....I love middle east food, lebanese in special....but this plate was dissapointing. Great bourbon options but it is 100% hit or miss based on the bartender. Had absolutely amazing experiences and horrid ones too. Sadly most recent was especially horrid with some out of town friends. Ordered a $50 neat pour of an allocated bourbon, it came on the rocks, said something to the waiter who promptly took it back to the bar but sadly returned with the sale glass minus the ice like I wouldnt know!?! If you have a $40 food bill and a $200 tab for 4 pours treat your customer well and dont serve watered down top tier bourbon. Took the glass back to the bar myself and they didnt even argue, though nothing to as done on the bill either.we love Cappys and go often but the service is either 10 or 100 never in between.

Went on Saint Pactricks. Was told its the best burger in San Antonio, which if that is true or not its worthy of high praise my burger was perfectly medium rare as I ordered and so was my friend medium. The homemade chips were great. Whiskey flight? Yes please, selection was top notch. Finally shared the special meal of corned beef sandwich. Folks it was the star of the evening! Not sure what exactly they had in the Russian sauce that topped the sandwich, but I could have drank it. Meat was fall apart tender. Amazing talent in the kitchen and service!!!!

Cant rave about this enough! Awesome cafe style place (but upscale) for friends enjoying cocktails (best in SA - seriously) or brunch together. A little bit of something for everyone. Clean. Professional. Nice wait staff and awesome cocktail mixer. Nothing negative at all - just a splendid place where people come back because it cant be beat. No wonder this has been a staple of SA for so long its really that reliable and cherished. I recommend highly - options for Veg and Vegans also. Went for lunch and drinks at Cappyccinos on 12 Nov 22 and their salad was wilted, four of us had ordered Caesar salads and the lettuce was old, all the salads were old. Then I ordered focaccia bread with cheese, the bread was dry and over baked, the cheese was dry not moist due to over baking the focaccia bread, it was more like toast. My friends felt the same way their salads were old and not fresh. Sorry I took my friends with me because they didnt care for their food as well. Maybe you need to change your menu and add new items. We plan on returning in a couple of months and we hope by then things have improved.

This is our favorite spot to grab Nachos. They are so delicious and on the healthy side, made with fresh pico de gallo, white beans, chicken, guacamole and mozzarella cheese (I believe). We also like their Pozole Verde and the burgers. There is also a vegetarian option and great desserts too. Its a nice relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. We have been coming here for over 10 years. Definitely a good place to meet with friends and family.

Great little casual eatery on Broadway. Friendly atmosphere with a unique menu. They dont just have coffee here! I ordered a Turkey Cobb sandwich, salad and potato chips as a lunch combo. We also ordered the Korean tacos. Both were awesome. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Even the potato chips felt artisan, with a light lime/lemon salt dusted on top. This was my first visit to this restaurant with a friend. We split a delicious turkey bacon sandwich on sourdough bread with chips. The wait staff was friendly, prompt, and attentive. They gave me a sample of a white bean soup that I will get on my next visit. Delicious.

Delicious food! The service is great and the staff are so friendly. We always get the chicken nachos and are never disappointed. Their spot is perfect for an intimate lunch for two or a family outing. Perfectly set near two museums and the zoo, it makes for a wonderful day out!
