Wonderful menu and service! We had a little hiccup with our entree, but were able to speak with the manager. It was very minor, but he graced us with a complementary cocktail and dessert. Our feedback regarding the entree was very well received. Cannot say enough about the hospitality of this staff! Do not miss out on this experience!

Better than alot of the restaurants I have eaten at on the Riverwalk but wouldnt say it was mind blowing or anything. We had the shrimp and grits which were actually really good and the Filet which was just OK (super tender but the flavor was just OK). The service was good. The prickly pear margarita wasnt as flavorful as I hoped and felt that the house margarita on the rocks was pretty average. I did enjoy the table side guacamole ALOT, and if you come here, you should definitely try it, that and the shrimp and grits. My biggest complaint is that for the price of everything, I could have gone to a pretty high-end steakhouse, but instead, I got Not bad for food on the Riverwalk.

When I sat down, across the dining room from me was an individual sitting having lunch wearing an apron. This is a cardinal sin in fine dining. Nothing wrong with sitting down and eating with friends/ clients/customers. But you really should take your apron off. Now for the food.... Terribly underwhelming I had the 14 oz grilled prime rib that came with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The steak came right off the grill onto the plate. It clearly needed to rest longer. The vegetables were in desperate need of salt and pepper. The potatoes were decent. Im not going to write home about them. I had creme brulee for dessert and that was maybe the most disappointing part. It came with too much fruit on top as well as two large mint leaves. Do you expect me to eat these whole? Do not put anything on the plate. You do not expect the customer to eat. Chiffonade the mint if you are going to do it. When I got to the bottom of the creme brulee there were black spots everywhere. Im going to presume and hope that was leftover vanilla bean. Which shows poor execution, that should be finely strained out and you should not see that much black vanilla bean in creme brulee. My server was Richard and he was very pleasant. The only issue that I had was at the end of the meal. He did not ask me how my meal was. Had he asked I would have provided this feedback. I went to this establishment based on the reviews and felt let down. The price is reasonable compared to other establishments in the area.

Based on reviews I had read and a couple of YouTube videos I watched, I had very high expectations for Boudros. Unfortunately those high expectations were not met today. I ordered the Duck and Sausage Gumbo as a starter. It was too salty. I only ate half and would rate it by itself as a 2. I ordered the Wood Grilled Atlantic Salmon as my entree. It was very good, a bit under-seasoned, but a dash of table salt fixed that. The mashed potatoes were average as were the roasted vegetables. The sauce was a touch on the sweet side and paired well with the salmon and roasted veggies, less so with the potatoes. The plating was a bit sad looking, but hey the salmon was very good. The service and atmosphere were fine, perhaps a bit pretentious for the food quality. My accurate rating would be 3.5 stars. I went with 3 stars instead of 4 for this review, mainly because of the overly salty gumbo starter and my high expectations going in. This is a decent place to eat if you are on the Riverwalk and hungry, but it is not a destination.

We had a lovely dinner on the river walk. This place belies the idea that food in a restaurant with a great view is going to be subpar. I had Shrimp and Grits and they were spectacular! One of my top meals ever!! This is a small restaurant directly on the Riverwalk and has an atmosphere and ambiance that wants to bring you back for more. We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay and was oaky (how we like it) and priced reasonable. For an appetizer we had the seared scallops (3) served with hominy and dots of sauces; so delicious, scallops cooked to perfection and the hominy was to die for. We also split a tomato (heirloom) salad; that was so refreshing. My wife ordered, what she called the best, shrimp and grits she ever had. The shrimp were grilled and there were plenty, the sauce was out of this world with a slight kick and smoky flavor, enhanced by the apple bacon, poblano peppers and chorizo sausage. I need to replicate this. I ordered the blackened prime rib, cooked to a perfect medium rare and juicy, perfectly seasoned, and served with redskin potatoes and a medley of fresh vegetables. We had no room for dessert. Our server was so knowledgeable about the food and was able to describe the sauce in the shrimp and grits to a perfection. She kept our wine chilled and was always refilling our wine and water glasses. It was a perfect meal.

The food is fine I hear, but don t bother to come here if you are gluten free. Literally one menu item without significant alteration. Even pollo asado or corn tortilla enchiladas, the chicken is marinated in glutinous broth so doesn t work. No gluten free buns or bread for lunch items.. considering it was my idea to come here only to learn I could eat almost nothing, it was very disappointing. The blackened fish I was able to have was legitimately really good

I read a lot of reviews before visiting and I will have to say that this little restaurant does live up to the hype. It may be the gem of the River Walk. We descended from the non-descript elevator on Commerce Street entrance to the tight little restaurant right on the River Walk. We did go for the prickly pear margaritas, and they were delightful. Our table next to a powerful fan helped with the heat and humidity. Really excellent service. A seemingly never-ending procession of a public characters and river boats passing by our table added interest. Two of us had the blackened prime rib. It may have been the best we have ever had, and we have had more than a few. Shrimp and Grits were also pretty fabulous for my nephew. My sister had a wood grilled fish child s plate which she liked but did not love. We were then of to join a longish line for Go-Rio boat tour after dark which was delightful. Even in the non-holiday season the multicolored lights on the trees add enchantment.

Ive been wanting to come back to this place for a while. It didnt disappoint. I chose tonsit inside simce otnwas too hot for outdoor. Jessica was my server, and she was friendly and helpful. She gave me good recommendations. I ordered their prickly pear margarita, and it was tasty. A must try. As an appetizer, I ordered their tomato salad. It was fresh, crisp, and savory. Jessica brought me bread, and she recommended I soak up the dressing and crumble cheese with it. It was a good suggestion. For the main dish, I ordered the pork chop, and it was amazing. Definitely visit Boudros if youre in the river walk. Its a classy place with quality food and great service. Kid-friendliness: Not a place for kids. Ill keep it simple. My partner and I showed up not in the best attire and we were not treated well at all. The server had no idea what she was doing yet no one was training her or assisting after she failed to provide good service several times even when it was brought to the attention of the staff. The crab enchiladas have imitation crab and crawfish in them which is not on the menu and the Pollo asado dish had no flavor. Every other table was treated with the service you would expect when dining at a place supposedly of this caliber, can not say what their food tasted like. Someone did apologize and offer a brownie dessert as a very weak way of making up for such a lackluster experience and even then the server STILL CHARGED FOR IT and said oops Im sorry someone will take that off and it will reflect on your bank statement later. I still tipped her very well though she deserved no tip at all. I would never return as they either judge you by your cover or have a long way to go with training, management.

I searched for restaurants on the Riverwalk on Google and found a place with good reviews, and that place was Boudro s on the Riverwalk, so l visited. After thinking about what to eat, I ordered Mesquite-grilled Quail as a stater and Pork Chop with Sweet Potato and Onions Rings as a main dish. To be honest, the taste wasnt that outstanding for me. Later, when I looked around the tables, almost everyone eating was eating Table Side Guacamole. As the name suggests, Table Side Guacamole is a dish where the server brings Guacamole ingredients to the table and makes Guacamole right next to the customer s table. It is the restaurant s signature menu. I have to try Table Side Guacamole next time I visit. Parking: I parked at the Shops at Rivercenter. I stayed here about an hour and paid $10.

We had a party of 10 on a busy busy summer weekday. Our server Teresa was a true professional. Very attentive, knowledgeable and fun. We had the fried oysters, shrimp and guacamole as starters. All were wonderful. Entrees pictures are the shrimp and grits, salmon, filet and lobster, quail appetizer and the enchiladas with crab on top. The shrimp and grits was not too spicy even with the andouille. The broth reminded me of a rou. The grits were stone ground and hearty. The salmon was as expected and a crowd pleaser. The quail appetizer was ordered as an entree and she was satisfied with the serving size. Jalapeño grits were served with this, and they were dynamite! I LOVE spicy food and those dried jalapeños set me on fire in a good way. I d add some of those to the shrimp and grits next time to kick up the heat. The lobster was over cooked and rubbery but the steak came out okay. It was ordered it medium rare (cold center) and it came out how I wanted with a warm red center. I HATE it when restaurants overcook a steak. I didn t try the enchiladas, but those who did were very happy with their choice. The tortillas were charred on the edges and they looked fantastic. We had a large party with a reservation at 6:30pm and we got our food around 8pm. They had many large parties, so we were mentally prepared to wait- that s why we got so many apps. Overall, food was amazing, all members of our party were very satisfied and our service from Teresa was expert level amazing. Highly recommend.

Great location on the river walk, food was good but the temperature of the food was almost warm . The cocktails were tasty, my hubby said his margarita was soft on the alcohol. It was crowded and our table kept getting bumped , but I guess that s expected. The seafood enchiladas could be better if the mole sauce didn t over power the rest of the flavors. The shrimp& grits were fantastic! The sea cakes were ok, better were served hot or at least a Little warmer. Overall it was a good experience.

I made a reservation to celebrate my husbands birthday. The infamous margaritas were a hit. I had the 10oz sirilon with fries. The seasoning was delicious, and it was cooked to perfection. I did not taste my husbands food, but his dish looked tasty.

Great atmosphere right on the River Walk. We sat outside for lunch. Food quality top. The guacamole is prepared fresh at the table as desired. Water is free and is also refilled. The burger was also very tasty. Kid-friendliness: There is a menu for children with different menus, the portions are very large.

This is a great spot for a good meal or drinks on the Riverwalk. We dined right next to the water, which was nice, particularly as it got darker and the river was illuminated. There are a lot of ducks walking around the tables looking for scraps, which didn t bother us. Bring your duck repellent if you re not a fan of them! Service was prompt, and our server was very helpful and pleasant. We ordered the chips and guacamole as an appetizer which they made fresh table-side. This was a big hit with our group. They had a great menu with a lot of options for all types of diners. I went with the shrimp and grits, which were amazing. The drink options are also very plentiful, from top notch bourbons, margaritas, straight tequilas, and wines. I would recommend coming at night to enjoy the ambiance and views while not having as much heat. I would totally make this one of my first spots to hit the next time I come to San Antonio!

My parents visited the river walk for their anniversary/my mothers birthday. They got married on Marriage Island 20+ years ago. I set up a reservation for them to have dinner on me while they were there. Jessica in the main office assisted me. Miguel was their server. My parents were blown away with the hospitality and food quality. 10/10 all around, glad I stumbled upon this restaurant on google to make some great memories for my parents. Thank you, Boudros, Miguel and Jessica!

Dined here on the river walk on a summer night, it has a great location and view of the river. Dining area outside is slightly congested. My favorite part of the meal was apps, specifically the fried oysters, excellent quality and flavor. The freshly-made table-side guac was a cool date night addition. Giving 4 stars since me and my girlfriends meals (Coconut Shrimp and the Crab Enchiladas) were pretty mediocre given the price, but maybe this just comes down to ordering the wrong items. Id definitely try to splash a little more dough for a steak should we return. Overall Id recommend for the apps and drinks by the river.

Amazing steak restaurant! First time here and the steak with chimichurri shrimp was highly recommended along with the prickly pear margaritas. They were both delicious and Im glad I ordered them. My whole meal was cooked perfectly to medium rare with al dente veggies. Its nicely decorated with elegant Texas decor. People were dressed up but also dressed for summer on the riverwalk.

Our first time on the River Walk. Boudros stood out from the look on the faces of the people already dining. We wanted to experience the joy which was being exhibited! A perfectly splendid was delivered!! Our server was outstanding. Great suggestions and very pleasant. The red he suggested brought everything together wonderfully. We were not rushed as we enjoyed a perfect outdoor evening. Our steaks were perfectly prepared and exquisitely tasty. We indulged in dessert and it capped the experience off with a crescendo. Our seats along the waters edge added to this lovely visit. I would say, highly recommended!

On River Walk you get a range regarding quality. On one end you have stuff like Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. And then you have Boudros. The food was very good. The blackened fish was a tad bit to firm and chewy, but otherwise, all else was worth the price, which is also on the higher end of River Walk. Wheelchair accessibility: There are many places on River Walk which require you to go up stairs to dine. Boudros is right on the RW level so someone on Wheelchair can access it.

6/24/2024 had lunch on our 35th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the BLT wrap with sweet potato fries dipped in catchup, spicy hot sauce and mango. Awesome! The fresh guacamole was off the charts! Also the Blue Crab tostada was amazing! Jessica, our server, was amazing! Friendly, personable, engaging, professional, and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend Boudro s on the Riverwalk.

Make sure you make the reservation beforehand, the place gets busy on the weekend. The food was scrumptious! Get the side table guac, the server made it at your table. He was informative and professional. They also post the recipe on their website. We also got steaks, caesar salad, and fried oysters. Service was immaculate. He was informative, kind, and observant. Overall, would definitely come back when I m in San Antonio again!

Chefs kiss to Boudro s. WOW! Where to start! First off our waiter was incredibly professional, beyond knowledgeable, very friendly, kind, thoughtful, and on point. We never needed for anything because it was always there. Not once did we need to ask for refills. Richard made excellent recommendations and was a mind reader! The food was mind blowing! Hot, fresh, high quality ingredients. We started with the Scallops, and shrimp and grits! Best shrimp and grits ever. We each got something different. We had the Prime rib, coconut shrimp, 8 oz filet, the filet of sirloin. The children had the children s coconut shrimp dish and the grilled chicken dish. We drank the prickly pear margarita, the enchantress and the boyfriend French 75. We finished with the crème brulle, and the key lime pie. We do not regret spending a single cent. How this place only has a 4.4 is just beyond me. It deserves 10 stars! Boudreaux works like a well oiled machine. I regret that I didn t get pictures of everything. That s it.

The space is very small. They have tables in awkward spots in an attempt to have more seating. It makes for an extremely loud atmosphere as the echos of everyone conversations are booming around you. Additionally, they seem to triple seat servers to avoid longer waits, which cause significant delays in service. I would have gladly waited 5 or 10 minutes to have faster and more attentive service. The drinks, while tasty, are overpriced for the alcohol content. The tableside guacamole was delicious, but due to the server having multiple tables at the same stage in dining, we had to wait a while. Also, due to the location of our table, he was unable to make it without being interrupted several times to move the cart out of the way for other servers and guests to walk by. The steak was very good, but overall, the experience was not worth the price. For fine dining, Id look elsewhere. The Riverwalk experience can be enjoyed for much less with better surroundings.
