Great ambience and best service on the strip , left a neighboring business that had terrible customer service, not gona mention the name but it rymes with hoeys, but I was impressed so much by positive people here that I ended up staying and having a terrific time

Hope someone finds this helpful. Beware of where you park!!! If you go here and park here, stay here so you dont get towed! When I pulled up, I noticed a few cars in front but no one inside. Next thing, I saw a car getting towed. The bartender was cool. Had a good time. Location is in popular area. Parking: Be careful if you park here. THEY WILL TOW YOUR CAR IF YOU ARE NOT THERE.

This dump is unprofessional and not friendly! The place smelled like a sewer. Both mens and womens restrooms were in horrible condition. Only one stall for use while the other was full of sewer. People left throughout the night. The staff was shady and not friendly. The owners are rude and unprofessional. While attending a bday gathering, Staff was throwing belongings in trash without asking. When confronted about the situation. Staff acted dumb. People attending the party saw everything. The Amp Room staff also doesnt have respect for the other businesses across the street. It was a seen heard around patrons. What kind place hates on other venues, bars in front of patrons? - The Amp Room staff! Unprofessional all the way around inside and outside this venue. It wont matter if if theres a response to this review. You were not there to see and hear how this place is operated. One star for this review.

Pay for your parking!! Even though there is no sign on the first row behind the bar. Your car will be towed. Its allowed, its a scam they probably in cahoots with the wrecker company. Such a shame too, it was a good place to hang out. Parking: You have to pay to park. Look for the sign!

Really cool little spot. My first visit was for New Years Eve, and it was a great time! The place is not too big, so its good for a more intimate setting. The bar has a great variety of drinks, mixed and canned/bottled. The bar tender was super nice and courteous. I really like this spot, I recommend a visit!

This place has really lost its touch. No wonder they are dead on a Friday night. Green tea shots are just a pre made mixer that taste like dish water and cucumber. Whiskey and cokes tasted molded. Only thing good was the beer. ..also doesnt help i had to pay to park here.

We went for a private party so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. The bartenders were good we had some good green tea shots. The dj was great and was playing some solid 80s hits and did a good job of mixing. Later in the evening there didnt seem to be many people when they opened till we left at 9 on a Saturday. I am not sure if that was due to the street construction or what. There was plenty of parking in the rear which was nice but we got there early.

Was looking forward to some 80s music. I was surprised by the mediocre skills of the DJ, but overall OK prices on drinks and friendly atmosphere. But I will not go back with choice of the resident DJ and the train wrecks that made my ears bleed.

A/C is not working properly. Not sure what the owner to the building or venue did with the PPP loan but its not very comfortable if you like to dance and have a few drinks . The Djs and bartenders are great. The owner might want to step it up because i dont think this heat is going to get better over the next few years.

Amp room is a great music bar! Fantastic mix of bands/DJs, good cover/ ticket prices and a great sound team. Seems like an odd thing to highlight in a review but they make all their acts sound awesome. They get good louds, the right distortion and reverb, and not just ear-splitting junk Ive heard at other venues. I cant stress this enough. Staff and patrons are friendly and welcoming. Drinks are cheap-medium price. Not a knock but their alcohol selection is not super high end so just understand that when you go and youll be all set. Besides, who listens to heavy metal drinking Blantons!? Lonestar, Jack and Bud pairs way better!

Greatest sound system and setup for anyone who wants to perform live. And they have a food truck called STRIP CHEESE. They sell gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato basil soup, chicken and sausage on a stick, cheese fries and tots. Go see Pebbles she runs it and she is the life of the party as well.

Casual college scene hangout. Great dj music and multiple food trucks outside for those who have one too many drinks. Yes you can take food inside. Plenty of tables inside & patio outside, the dance floor is large. Parking is a challenge with lots of construction. A casual fun place to dance!

This is a awesome venue. They have really cool bands that play here. I went to see the Meteors here , the other night. The opening band was a really good local band, called the Hard Rock Rebels. They were amazing! Im not from San Antonio, but the people were cool, and made me feel at home. The door guy was really friendly. This place made me want to come back to see other shows in the future

My first time here. It was a pretty cool place. Went to see Bruk Out play and they killed it! Just wish the construction would hurry up and be done. Drinks were good. Ladies restroom has 2 stalls but I was scared to go in one of them cause someone bombed it. But it was cleaned up quick.

Dan runs a great club with live music almost every night on St. Marys strip by the Pearl. Also , they have a DJ on the nights there is no band. Ashley is a first rate Bar tender to! And Marcus is really helpful as well.Get some great local grub from Luis out in front of Amp and enjoy the sights and sounds of the strip...reminds me of 6th Street in Austin!
