Hard to get drinks from the bar as it is always crowded. Could use a waitress or two. But pretty nice atmosphere & great cover band playing. Oh and the darts games need to be better maintained. They only had broken darts to offer to use, which in themselves were useless. I asked for more tips for them & waited over 2 hours never got them. Maybe better luck next time.

I never thought I d leave a review like this for what used to be my favorite bar but here we are. I have been a regular at this bar for 5 years and have come to love the staff including (former staff) and patrons and even consider them family. The entire staff is the ONLY reason why I continue to return. It is the type of bar that looks out for their customers and for each other. They know your name and will even have your drinks ready for you when they see you coming in the door. They work to provide a safe, relaxed yet fun environment. It truly was the best neighborhood bar I had ever experienced. Unfortunately, this bar has fallen victim to poor decision making from its owners/managers for the sake of progress . Not all change is good and so far it has done nothing but hurt this bar on so many levels: 1.)The remodeling recently completed was a colossal waste of time and money. It s obvious that the goal was for aesthetics and not function. Nothing has improved: less room on the patio, the bathroom stall doors easily/constantly lose the locks, leaky sinks, no low top seating options..essentially an inefficient use of space in general. 2.) Noticeable price increases(presumably to fund poorly executed remodeling) In an already tough economy..significant price increases will only deter business. Simple logic. 3.) sudden changes in personnel- last night I found out that the BEST bartender Lefty s had (Conrad) was released presumably for a fresh new face..as there was a new girl working. HUGE mistake. What the owners of Lefty s is communicating to their loyal patrons is that we don t matter. They are more interested in attracting new business at the cost of losing consistent business. There is nothing wrong with wanting to attain new business but HOW you achieve that can send the wrong message. Do some aggressive marketing..come up with some specials that would be enticing..do a giveaway/incentive. Get creative. To the owners/managers who have lost sight of what Lefty s has become for so many of us. Change does not guarantee progress but it will guarantee an opportunity to learn. Conrad deserved better than what he was handed..and if you re wise you d recognize that and try to salvage that if you can. The entire staff deserves better than what you are showing them. Your loyal patrons deserve better. Perhaps you should start listening to your staff. They know what this bar needs better than you.

Unfortunately, its either closed apparently for renovations or permanently closed. UPDATE: Got a response back from the owner that it was closed for renovation and wont open until April. The 1-star review will stand for two reasons: no indication on Google Maps that it was closed temporarily for renovation. Also, there was no note on the door indicating that it was closed for renovation. Ill be more than happy to change the review when it reopens in April.

I was harassed every drink I received because I paid cash on my drinks and thy bartender told me I was getting served slower because of the fact I was not tipping . I was going to give her a $20 cash tip at the end as I usually do after Im done drinking at a bar but her attitude was awful and I kept the money and stoped drinking for the night. I wont be coming back again. This was sat dec 17 2022 at 3:00 pm . If yall want a cheaper bar try the hanging tree or the bar up the road on judson right behind the jack and the box way cheaper drinks and way better service its called EZS bar . See yall there

I had a really bad experience here. I wasnt served because I had a passport and not a Texas ID. I wonder if other military will not be served here if they do not have a Texas ID. I dont know if the guy was just having a bad day or didnt want us there. I dont think Ill be going back. I received a message from the owner but it appears they dont understand TABC rules on acceptable forms of identification. Very unfortunate.

We were lucky enough to be there on Nicks first night back and let me tell you, that man is stellar. Had me drinking old fashioneds I could have sworn were from 1919. He was super friendly and knowledgeable, and we will definitely go out of our way to be back when he is bar tending!

They use to have wonderful bands go through there but havent seen one there in quite some time...me being in same food/beverage field the service needs a little help in paying more attention to their patrons needs and put up the phones....not only have I but others have that same complaint!!!
