Disappointed! I had two very nice cold beers after work. I paid the $8 tab in cash and left a $5 tip. Well, A day later, I noticed my card was charged $25! I can only assume that the young woman was hard up for money and found it easy to charge my card without my knowledge, despite paying my bill in cash! I certainly wont be going back.

Well, the bartender this past Thursday was absolutely terrible. We had a large group, which was planned in advance with reserved tables in the front section. There was only 1 bartender, and she mostly sat in front of the bar talking with her friends ignoring us all. She would wait until we asked if she could please serve us. Then she disappeared in the back kitchen for over 20 minutes and ignored our group until there was at least 10 of us in line for drinks. Someone from our group actually had to go ask the food waitress to go get her from the back for us. This bartender also served us in plastic cups because she didn t want to wash them herself. She actually said that out loud to a customer! A few people from our group asked for real glasses, and was overheard asking them to bring the glasses back to the bar so she wouldn t have to go get them herself. Isn t that part of her job? I have never seen such a lazy bartender in my life... And guess what? It turns out she s the bar owner s daughter. I would think she would want to be the best bartender, but she has terrible work ethics. I don t know what her work schedule is to help you avoid this experience, but I won t be going back there when she s working. I can t give them any stars for service, but the food was great!

Bartender over charged me for my drinks. I ordered 1 bucket of beer and 3 mixed drinks on sepcial.. Should have been $30 for the bucket and $5 for each mixed drink.. Was charged over $85. Edited 7/30/24 13:40 I have called twice yesterday and was told he was not avaliable. May i have his name?

Went to karaoke night really cool I will go again I had the almost famous groupie it was very tasty forgot to get a picture but it was delicious and had a healthy portion. We will be going again. Good music, friendly staff, not crowded if go early and authentic Filipino food. Thanks, Dave! The music is awesome, but no karaoke til Friday and disappointed no pool table. So people look at me weirdly when a really good song is playing, I just cant help myself. Hard to find a good place to hang out. This is the place for some good food and good music

Was having a great experience and was having a great time. Til I had a bouncer come up and ask about my tab. I gave him the info apparently because I opened my tab at the other bar instead of the 1 I was going to cuz we picked a table opposite of the original bar. After ordering drinks and and spend a quite bit of money that when they chose to tell me and the bartender was extremly rude and got upset with me. Is it my fault ur point of sale system isnt link through out the bar no. Ruined the rest of my night buzz gone and definitely no desire to spend anymore money. Edit next morning apparently they gave me the wrong tab cuz what my card got charged for and what I signed for r decently 2 different amounts Im in total shock lol

Visited Doc Browns for the first time 3/22/24 and approached slender young girl bartender at the main bar. Ordered a Effen Vodka and tonic and asked her what it cost. She said she thinks its $9 ... walked to the register and said, Yes, thats what it cost. Paid her with $9 in cash and gave her a $1 tip. She left her shift approximately 10 minutes around 8:20-8:30pm and another young lady took over. A short time later I went back to the bar and ordered another of the same cocktail. This time the new bartender rung it up at the register and charged me $5. I was shocked that the first young lady stole from me. Now that I recall it, she never put the money in the register. She kept it in her hand, emptied her tip car and proceeded to count her cash. Cant believe that she stole from a customer like that nonetheless being in charge of cash. I wonder what she steals on a weekly basis. Very poor character. I gave the listing three stars due to that encounter. I did enjoy the vibe of the establishment however doubt if I return with staff stealing and being dishonest like that.

Editing review. I would suggest people close out soon as they order a drink. I tipped $15 on a tab that was for a bucket of beer and 2 shots. I left a $15 tip, my bank statement reflects different compared to the receipt. Someone changed the $15 to $25. Yes, the transaction cleared and not pending days ago. Again, watch your money and close out soon as you order.. They would assume people get too drunk to remember the night I suppose. Cant imagine how many times they made a mistake possibly or how they used to have to have that problem with their previous staff. Check you current staff perhaps. And to Docs, No.... Keep the extra $10, there was no mistake and whoever stole from me needed it.

That s when all the hoodlums came and started drunk yelling at each other and one ended up shooting a shot in the parking lot! It spooked my date and it ruined the entire evening. Its been awhile, but a last minute thing for wifeys birthday tonight 1 Dec 23. Before been hear when crowded and a few times not, but aways was good time. But I agree with some of your other low comments. Not to be critical, the dance floor is on the big side and part of the traffic way. It would be best served on the right side of bar from DJ/stage area to wall away from traffic. I understand customers can be a bit much, but everyone is not tip minded nowadays. Maybe increase bartenders wages to $7.50 to $10 would be cause happier employees and the drinks will flow much better/tabs. I use to be a DJ and the bar owner (prior DJ) told me if people are not coming back or buying drinks she didnt need me. Her recommendation was play to the crowd if nobody is dancing make changes based on age, attire or female to male ratio that night Then play in sets fast-slow-fast e.t.c. Slow music gets those dancing a break and guys a chance to buy girly a drink or get their close dance on more drinks. You got to have & attract ladies, then the atmosphere if guys dont feel comfortable to ask (based on music) a lady to dance, a big waist time coming, then not enough drinks are bought and over head out ways the cost of operations. Also securitys UNIFORM, be it pollo shirt (red, yellow, BLUE!) T-shirt or even sports jacket needs to stand out. To deter and defuse issues as they arise. Maybe add a rating on the restroom to ur review as well, Holler

Would rate it no stars if I could! Had a bartender storm out of the bar to confront us on the tip when the service was not good and the bartender was RUDE. She aggressively spoke to us outside the bar while she was still on duty while there was a good amount of people waiting to order drinks at the bar( we know because we were just inside trying to close out) Some other male that worked there then interjected just to be rude to us as well while we try to get the manager for all the unnecessary conflict their employees caused. Just had an experience at this bar. Ordered 3 rounds of drinks, barely. After being disrespected by the bartender, I no longer wanted to order drinks or be at this establishment, so I closed out. I decided I wanted to leave my two cents so I tipped $1 and let them know they were very rude then left. After waiting outside for my friends to finish using the restroom, I was confronted by the bartender who rushed me outside screaming oh yeah, I was rude? The bar security eventually pulled her back but then when asking for a manager, they decided to fluff the story by telling them I yelled at the bartender when ordering. Once speaking to the manager Mike, all I was left with was excuses for his bar staff. Saying because I tipped $1 thats why she charged me, screaming. He never once reassured me that this would be addressed. Instead he told me, my tip was the reason for being yelled at. I do hope the owner reads this, check the night of 10/27 cameras. I am a patron of the bar and should never be confronted the way I was. It was extremely unprofessional and instead of repercussions for the staff, I was told I was at fault.

Came duing the middle of the week at 6:00. Ordered nachos and took over 40 minutes to get. Terrible food service. Waitress was terrible at telling us correct information and lied why it took so long to get food. She blamed that all the tables were ordering food. Great and popular little club. Usually a great turnout on the weekends with good music. It seems like they always have two different types of music too. I came here tonight to have a good time with my friends. Ordered my friends a round of drinks, had 2 drinks myself. Used to come here alot with friends and while I understand the appeal, its a dance bar and people go to have a good time, its just not laid out properly. You essentially have to cross the dance floor in order to get to either bars, of course since theyre right on the dance floor, cant hear anything and bartenders have a tough time hearing the order unless youre straight up yelling at them.

Great bar, dancing, and wonderful food. No cover and awesome drink specials. Well managed. I highly recommend checking it out. They offer different genres of music depending on the day of the week so verify what works for you before heading out.

Excellent bar drinks and bartenders! Love the karaoke night! Sing it Dave! You rock! Delicious food! We couldn t get enough of the lumpia, Pancit, and wings! Thanks Chef Dave!!! Definitely will try more menu items and drinks next go around!

I didn t understand why they have every single part of the pub separate. I ordered at the bar a burger and after a fair amount of time (40 minutes) I had to check on them, and for my surprise you have to order straight at the kitchen. Why the barman didn t say anything at the first place after we ordered food there???? It took me almost 2 hrs waiting a cold burger which got me sick for the next two days. Plus they have 2 different bars and with separate bills, at the end of the night I had to close each of them and check everything was correctly charged because they tried to extra charge one of my friends for things we order and they didn t have available. The lack of experience of the bar attendants is present in their cocktails I tried 4!!! And each was 3/4 ice, kool aid and not taste of alcohol at all. Honestly I gave them enough chances to improve and after I spent $100 there I concluded I will never come back!

Was excited to try this place out. The outside was nice loved it would of been nice to have a waiter. I had to go inside order my beer I was told a waiter would see me at my table outside. 30 min later no waiter so I left. Maybe I ll try again I do love patios and my beer. The bathrooms are clean and the outdoor is nice and comfy too.

Very disappointed by this place of business to have a nice establishment in this side of San Antonio and for this to happen and operating with a faulty license, what the???? Goes to show you, some places dont know how to operate fairly and since the owner replied, doesnt matter who you hire to operate the kitchen its still shoddy business and your reply sounds out of anger I can publicy critique your business for your information

Doc Browns obviously sold the place to a new place which is gross. You have to get your water or drinks from the bar. Which also has to be a separate check from what food you ordered. Also the women in this restaurant are not for a family friendly atmosphere.

The inside was definitely chaotic and I was not a big fan of their hip hop music choices, being a hip hop dancer. We ended up heading to the patio with the Latin music. There may not be anyone dancing in the beginning, but dont be afraid to be the first to get out there and salsa or bachata! Others will join in soon enough!!! The patio was my absolute FAVORITE and I had so much fun dancing with other wonderful people! There was a good mix of salsa, samba, bachata, rumba, and merengue!

Food took forever to arrive . It was just an appetizer loaded fries for $11. No cheese no quest no silverware. Even the server seemed embarrassed. Positive note the server was super sweet and the bartender rocks! Great drinks great drink prices but stay away from the kitchen. I mean it s a whole separate entity anyways. Including tab and server. So strange.

I mean it was a pretty good time I had a blast out there, but I keep hearing something about people spiking drinks out here, so you for me to the public I would ve given it five stars but I m gonna just keep it open as an honest safety rating. It got hella crowded (which given its a bar is good) but there didn t seem to be any regulation for the people as far as drinking limits or mask wearing tolerance. Modernized fun tho, it s a great venue to party at but not digest in

Disappointed in some photos that I see here contrary to what I was told at the door. I was denied entry because of a hair wrap for my locs. Not my slacks, or the button up shirt or my dress shoes... The gentleman politely told me that I couldnt have the hair wrap. I politely thanked him and left. Oddly enough I see photos here on the Google reviews of folks with baseball caps, wearing a jersey, etc.
