First time at this establishment it was a great experience. Service was OK and food was delicious. I enjoyed the food so much I decided I wanted my family to try it. We stopped by on the weekend and luckely there were only a few people at a bar. We sat down and it took the server/bartender roughly 20 minutes to greet us and take our order of drinks. It seems that people at the bar are the main priority here. We decided to leave after we noticed that customers that had walked in after we did we getting served before us. Its disappointing that a place with such great tasting food is ruined by the slow service. There was no empathy or apology from the server regarding our experience.

This place is horrible. We came in sat down and they didnt come to our table. The bartender took about 15+ mins to come to ask for our drinks, but as soon as her buddies in, she game them quick service. They got their drinks with in 2 mins. She took her buddies order before asking our order. Horrible customer service. I used to work in the service industry. This is beyond unacceptable. We let the waitress know we were leaving. She didnt apologize. No communication from her part. Me and my company will no longer be supporting this business. Dont waist your time stopping by.

This place is for sure a hidden (or not so hidden) gem. Excellent service and the food super yummy! The boneless wings are my favorite in the city and I crave them often. Homemade ranch and all. I went with friends who had burgers recently and they said they were very good. Also karaoke night is super fun and the setup is amazing. Highly recommend!

I used to live here in San Antonio and I am finally back home after many years away. I will be able to spend a whole month here. My best friend took me to the Evil Olive for karaoke night. What a blast! Ive been there a couple times now and I can see Wednesday karaoke nights as a potentially regular thing! And WOW! The courteous and professional servers even remembered my name when I went there the second time!

The tip, to my knowledge, is a gratuity, not a must. The server question that the tips it was not enough in front of everyone, which was inappropriate. I was not the one involved on her tip but Clients arent obligated to leave a tip, and the incident was unpleasant enough to keep me from returning.

Its a nice place to have a drink listening to the live band. I ordered the blue cheese burger and it was delicious and a good size. The martinis are served in small quantities and I do not suggest it as a drinking option. Other than that we had a very pleasant time.

The lady that runs the bar is a one-person show, she does an amazing job, of taking care of customers. Super friendly. Super helpful. Tuesday tacos are wonderful, I went for buffalo chicken and wasnt disappointed. I wouldnt go there for atmosphere but I definitely would go there for food and for service. I will be back

This bar has the best food and drinks, the environment and staff is very relaxing and friendly. It was a nice place to try with people of all ages. I like how they have live karaoke and bands performing weekly. Parking: There is parking in the front to include spots in front of a dry cleaning place and a Thai restaurant, and theres parking in the back and multiple entrances to the bar along with even a sidewalk in between the building going from the back parking lot to the front of the bar.

Every time I visit here, I dont know what to get. Once in a while I will see a list of drinks and choose from there but more often than not, Im letting someone else order for me. Last time I was there (about the middle of June 2023), I asked the bartender to surprise me with a sweet drink. He took up the challenge and made me the best drink Ive had from this place. I especially loved the edible glitter in my glass. I have no idea what the drink was (I probably forgot), but it was a decent drink with mango in it...and I dont like mango so Mr. bartender did an excellent job. A little later the same night, another bartender made me the same drink but it was a different colour so he might have made it slightly different. Both drinks were great and if I knew the name of it, Id order it again.

The bar staff is super friendly in a genuine way. They really do create an inclusive atmosphere which is what I needed at the time. They allow dogs on the patio and dont discriminate between breeds. Thats super refreshing considering my Dane has been turned away from other restaurants in the area because of the size/breed. The food was good when Ive eaten there and the live music is entertaining.

Wow! The Evil Olive has gone nuttso. Katie, a bartender/waitress, pulled my chair out from under me at the bar and told me to move. I commented that if she moved the chair without telling me, and I tried to to sit down, they could have a lawsuit on their hands. Ordering another drink, I was refused service because they felt uncomfortable serving me. My total bill was $4.25. Was I wrong to not leave a tip ?

There are too many death from on Texas roadways due to DWIs and I will not support anyone or business that does not take DWI seriously. It was a Thursday night, and my sisters and I were desperately looking for a chill karaoke spot with good food that wasn t too stuffy and over-crowded. Evil Olive came as a recommendation from a biker at another spot, so we took the leap. And wow, this place was everything and more! It has a spacious outdoor seating area with hanging lights, great staff, a fun DJ (a fill-in named Eric), and the food and drinks are delicious, varied, and decently priced (check out the cocktail menu). Whether you want to chill in the back by the bar, play billiards, or dance in the space by the stage, the ambience is welcoming and accommodating. My new favorite hang out/karaoke spot!

What we found disappointing, has happened when we have gone there for karaoke on a Tuesday nights. Heres a description of the most recent Tuesday night. The KJ that was there told us that he wasnt accepting anymore singers and that the next singer was the last singer for the night. Then he got up and sang a song and then he invited the bartender to sing a second song with him! It was 45min before they called last call. Now Ive been at karaoke entertainer for over 25 years and I dont allow myself to sing the last song whenever theres paying customers that walked in to sing karaoke and have a drink before last call. And I certainly dont allow employees to sing over paying customers that come there for karaoke and a drink... Unless that employee happens to be the owner of the venue that hired me. So it was very disappointing! Although we love the employees there and love the food there! Wish karaoke were ran more respectfully.
