One of my favorite places in SA. Their food is high quality, but the atmosphere and drinks give off a hip dive bar vibe. It kind of depends on what time you go there and whether your goal is to eat or drink. The service is great too. Ive often been a regular throughout the years and the staff is incredibly professional, kind, and prompt. Not many places in this city can beat the overall ambience of Bombay - its cute and artistic, its got great outdoor seating next to 300 year old oak trees and bright, playful decor, and great indoor seating that feels like a refurbished 1950s diner. Seriously this had been one of my top 3 in san antonio for over 10 years. I can get lunch with my 70 year old aunt or a ton of shots at midnight with my wild friends. 10/10 for Bombay Bicycle

We ate here for the first time, the wait staff was amazing. The atmosphere is eclectic . We were leaving when we saw the cook (older male) attempting to dig something out of the dumpster outside. Best hidden gem of San Antonio, amazing atmosphere, incredible service & fantastic food. Some of my favorite drinks have been made by Lilly and Izzy the service by the entire staff, especially the guy with curly hair and the long blonde have always made us feel welcome. Don t miss out on the $5 burgers on Wednesday! And great pool and great dart board in the back.

This place used to be so nice back in the day. The decor and atmosphere are nice, however the service is horrible. These kids look and act like theyd rather be eating glass than serving when we first got there, but then I guess the universe sensed we were not happy or heard my complaints, and then they stepped it up and catered to us. I was starting to feel some kind of way. Now for the food, it was disgusting.Im gonna post pictures honestly.I dont remember how the food used to be.I was coming here, maybe in the late 80s.Early nineties after work for happy hour. Its just a little disappointing because this is an historical place and very beautiful Décor I dont know if they need new management more training for their wait staff or what, but I will give them this they did turn it around and redeem themselves. It was just our initial experience. I will also say.I think they need to get more food or different foods or more interesting menu.

The restaurant has the best vintage decor Ive ever seen, but the worst fries and a mediocre hamburger . If you want to eat delicious food, avoid this place . However, if you just want to talk with your date and have a few drinks, they can t ruin a Heineken . Great decoration, but bad food. I paid $20, and they don t even have Coke Zero . Lastly, they don t provide paper towels or a dryer to dry your hands in the bathroom .

Read about this place and took a trip out for a birthday meal! Nice atmosphere, staff was friendly and food was great! I ordered 4 meals and the only thing was the Chipotle mayo was all over and took over the sandwich but the few pieces of shrimp were tasty. Home made chips and fries, burgers, sandwiches .. all was great with the best waitress she was awesome and really made our experience there better because of something. Someone came and started yelling a bit and aggressively told the staff some things, and come to find out it was the owner. He was there in the middle table. And this incident was right next to our table and that was a bit uncomfortable to be around. When leaving the restaurant he was right in front sitting a bit far from the table, you could barely fit trying to leave. Very awkward which is the only reason I gave 4 stars.

We went to the location at Hemisfair, in Yanaguana park. The atmosphere was great, the service was good and so was the food! We were taking our young children to the park and stopped in for dinner before. They don t have a kids menu which was annoying considering it s in a park. The menu itself is kid friendly but paying for an adult portion for our 3-yr-old you who only ate his tater tots is a bummer. A kids menu would be nice.

We were in the area looking for a good burger. We saw a bunch of cars in the parking lot, so we wanted to check it out. First impression: Server said to my wife, Can I get a credit card to open a tab? Wife I dont have a CC.The server asked me the same question and I said were just having dinner and no drinks. Ive been going to Bays for nearly 50 years and dearly love the place. But last night, March 22, was the worst. My son and I wanted some takeout, so he ordered while I remained in the car. He was told about 15 minutes for a bowl of chili, a frito pie, tater tots, and an order of chips and salsa. It turned into a 45-minute wait with no explanation, and we got home with two bowls of chili, no frito pie, and no chips. It was the worst experience Ive ever had there. Perhaps their competent staff are all at the new location. Wheelchair accessibility: There is only one entrance to the back patio wide enough for wheelchair accessibility (the north side), but most of the parking is on the other side (the south side). The restaurant needs to widen the southern entrance.

They sell food you can make at home, dont waste your time or money here! Ive wanted to try this place for a while now, and the disappointment is real. There was almost nobody in here on a Friday night, which was weird, but now I see why. We ordered a side of loaded tots where they threw a NON MELTED piece of cheddar cheese on the tots lol what a joke. We ordered a patty melt which was a regular single burger patty on basic WHITE BREAD, not Texas toast nor did it have the onions or anything. Also ordered the club sandwich and that was one of those that you throw together with cheap HEB turkey and ham with some Lettuce and mayo lol we were still starving afterwards. Our server was miserable and turns out someone else had to serve us our food and check us out because she just randomly left without telling anyone. The decor is cool, thats why I gave it 2 stars but dude do not go here.

We walked by this place on our way to the Tea Gardens and thought it would be fun to try a smaller local spot during our time in San Antonio. We loved the eclectic vibe of the place. However, service was terrible. We seated ourselves and no one so much as looked our direction for at least 15-20 minutes, even though there were only a handful of people in the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. We finally noticed a QR code on our table, so we placed our order online since no server seemed to acknowledge we were there. Finally a server approached us and told us how busy they were (with people seated outside). The food we ordered was good, but it felt like we just werent welcome there.

I really wanted to like this place because it s a nice stop when you re on your bike at Brackenridge park. The outdoor patios are really nice and shady, but that s where our good experience ended. The service was on the slow side, which wasn t a big deal. BUT the waiter verified how I wanted my burger, but then it came out differently. No mustard, no pickles, despite those listed as ingredients on the menu. It was also so overcooked, it was on its way to being jerky. Bun was good. Tomato was fresh. Tots were excellent, but needed salt. We asked for salt, mustard, and pickles, and the waiter specifically repeated that back to us. A couple of minutes later he came back with only salt, and we never saw him again until it was time to pay the bill. We were never given napkins, so I paid with my greasy hands on the CC machine. Lastly, the house margarita ranks 7/10 on the toilet cake flavor scale. All mix, not boozy.

We hadnt been here in years and we were disappointed by the margaritas and food on this visit. The margarita was very weak and just tasted sweet. I ordered a club sandwich and it was VERY disappointing. It almost looked like a sandwich from the airport or gas station. My husband ordered the Sriracha burger which he said was ok, not very spicy or flavorful. My parents ordered burgers which they said were alright, nothing special. The service was friendly and fast. The ambiance is the only reason wed return (but only to have a beer) maybe after a day at the Sunken Gardens or the Zoo.

Very loud ghetto back yard patio music. Arrived, a server took our order, he was very nice. Sat down with friends and another waitress (asian) continued to come over our table to give us dirty looks. One time she literally approached the table stared at us, picked one napkin, and walked away. She continued to walk around us, stand over our table without saying a word, looked at us and walk away. I want to share that we are quiet people. We wanted to ask her to leave and let us eat in peace but we just wanted walk out. We understand that waitresses (when possible) do this to be attentive, but we were the only table she continued to roam around and she had a chilling demeanor. Very unpleasant experience.

Got a buffalo chicken burger looks like someone just barely put buffalo sauce on it the chicken wasn t fully coated and got some sorry a** crumbs of blue cheese. Chicken was just not it .Drinks were mediocre . Didn t get silver ware .

Great food, great service! We didnt have to wait long even though there were 8 of us. They had a great outdoor eating space too. Great if you have little boys who cant sit still while they wait. Highly recommend.

Its actually a great little spot, servers were incredibly attentive but not overly so, food was good. If I had a complaint it would be the seating, they are working with what they got and it works but kind of awkward. Parking: Parking was good for us but Ive seen it packed on other trips to the zoo Kid-friendliness: My kid loved the vibe, but not much of a kids menu so be ready to pay for an adult meal.

Absolutely love the aesthetic of this place. The staff was very helpful and the food was great Kid-friendliness: We didnt really see a lot of kids whatever we went but the atmosphere was very welcoming if you were to bring your family.

Weve been coming to BBC for several years. We tend to go off hours, when its slower, and it has a great ambiance. Eclectic, mellow local dive. In the past, I wouldve given them 5 stars, but the food hasnt been as good in the last year. The burgers and chicken sandwiches have gone from great to solid. I enjoy the tots. French fries were skimpy and seemed like theyd been sitting around a while on my last visit. Drinks are pretty good, with some Happy Hour deals. The pandemic outdoor patio was a nice addition. Service has always varied from very good to disinterested. Parking: Parking may be more difficult at peak times.

A true San Antonio (really Alamo Heights, but nobody outside of San Antonio knows what the 09 sticker on you car means) staple. Theres a reason theyve been around as long as they have and are still going strong. Good food (for a bar, theyll never earn a Michelin star), great service, and the atmosphere cant be beat. They have darts (electronic), multiple pool tables, and a great outdoor area.

Went here for a work gathering. The outdoor area was wonderful! The food was tasty. There were a lot of mosques, so bring bug spray. They did have some available which was helpful, but if you need a particular type best bring your own. Parking was fine. Overall great experience!
