Its was a fantastic place to visit. Just like the river walk in San Antonio but smaller. The gal there was super nice. Gave us a lot of info. Even offered us some free candied popcorn and an ice cold bottle of water to cool down.

The visitor center is pretty dull and ordinary during the day. But at night it becomes a majestic palace and seems to be right oit of Alice in wonderland. You will almost certainly have the place to yourself after 9pm, and an ideal spot to have an intimate one on one.

Cool place to walk around and have a picnic, I went with my two youngest and we had fun but you will see trash and clothes laying around in some areas and occasionally homeless people but they are a part of our world so besides those things it is nice and pretty in most areas! And best of all its all free.

Hands down best place in San Angelo. I have been here many times on different occasions and never have had a bad experience. Personally, I go here to unwind, relax, take a walk along the river, and just hang out. This location is perfect for just about any occasion.

Best-looking visitor center Ive ever seen! When I visited San Angelo on a business trip in November and stayed at the Econo Lodge San Angelo, which was just newly renovated under new management, I asked what was a good sight to see close to the hotel. The front desk agent Kim pointed out the San Angelo Visitor Center was just a few minutes walk away so I walked over to take a look. It was truly one of the best-looking visitor center Ive ever seen. The riverwalk is right there too. This is a free sight to see so is another hidden gem besides the International Water Lilies Park.

Visited the first weekend in December and found a sign on the door that said it was closed indefinitely. Maybe due to covid 19 or staff shortage? We were disappointed that there wasn t even a rack or shelf outside with a local Things to Do magazine. The building itself was located on a beautiful spot on the river. Stairs down to the river walk and scenic spots to take photos.

Situated right in the center of town on Hwy 87 on the Concho River. Plenty of parking. More than meets the eye. Beautiful landscaping behind building leads down to the river and a river walk that leads to art installations, pedestrian bridges and a large playground across the river. Great place for pictures and exploration for all ages. Beautiful at Christmas with light displays. Worth the visit!
