Nice picnic area. Good little sandy beach for kids to swim. Boat launch isn t busy and they have a really nice fishing dock.

Fist time going here swimming. The water was great and the best part was all the different races of families getting along. All the kids playing with one another and all the grown folks talking to each other while smiling and laughing. Great day swimming and people watching.

This place is beautiful. Nice beach area for swimming, a huge fishing pier with benches, kinda strange they face inward instead of toward the water, but benches do have pole holders built into them, and are very clean. Great place to take the family!!

San Angelo strives to keep this park clean, safe and serviceable. Not all, but the majority, of visitors do the same. The addition of the dock near the swim area adds a lot of activities for residents

NO DOGS ON THE SAND!!! I made the mistake of going to the beach around 2100 WITH my dog and kid. I missed the signs saying no dogs ON THE BEACH. We were there no more than 10mins when a cop (very friendly, not rude at all) came by and informed me of this rule. I asked if my dog could sit in the truck with me while my kid played volleyball in the sand a little while longer. He told me my dog could be ANYWHERE in the park just not ON THE SAND. We just moved to the pavement and continued playing. Opps my bad I promise my dog made NO business in the sand.

Nice place to swim. Dog-friendliness: Everyone always has their dogs and I have never seen any problems, they have to be on a leash though.

This place was great. Had lots of fun with the family. Only bad thing is you will get fined if you take glass containers. Also no dogs in the beach area. Other than that place is great plus is free of charge. In my opinion 1000x better than the state park.

The sun was out, people were out and the cops were out, lots of cops. A Kona Shaved Ice truck even came through. Good times. And the best part, it was free
