I had the most incredible experience at AR Beauty Bar with their curly hair specialist, Krystn! As someone who has struggled for years to find a stylist who truly understands curly hair along with the countless of times my hair has been botched, I can confidently say that Krystn is a true expert in their field. Krystn took the time to listen to my concerns and goals for my curls, and her passion for curly hair was evident from the start. She offered invaluable advice on how to care for my curls between visits, which was incredibly helpful. During the appointment, she worked their magic. She knew exactly how to cut and shape my curls to enhance their natural bounce and definition. The result was beyond my expectations my curls have never looked better! The cut was precise yet organic, and she paid attention to every detail. What impressed me the most was the personalized approach Krystn took. She didnt just give me a generic haircut; instead, she tailored the entire experience to suit my hair type and texture. The products they used were top-notch and specifically designed for curly hair, which made a noticeable difference in how my curls felt and looked. I cannot express enough how fabulous this salon is! Great people, great vibes and my girl Drea is a true GREY goddess slayer!!! She has taken aging gracefully to a whole new level!! My hair feels amazing and she kept my length! If you are considering the transition she is your artist!!!

This was my first salon experience and as a curly girl, I was stressed. I immediately felt relieved as soon as I sat in the chair. Krystn did an amazing job on my hair! She was very engaged, informative, and gave me exactly what I wanted. Between the conversation and the cut, I ll definitely be returning. 100% worth the 2 hour drive to see her.

Let me tell you about my experience with Krystn, the curly hairstylist. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous because I didnt know her at all, and trying out a new hairstylist can be intimidating, you know? But let me tell you, Krystn really put me at ease. She explained everything she was going to do each step of the way, and that made me feel so much better. I can honestly say that if youre in need of a curly hairstylist, Krystn is fantastic! Not only does she do a great job, but shes also super friendly and uses top-notch products on your hair. Definitely give her a try!

Got my hair done here a couple years ago by Krystyn and to this day it looks terrible. I got a curly hair cut which came out to the exact opposite of what I wanted. I waited and trusted her bc she said wait a little bit for it to look right but my hair was basically just chopped off and when I straighten it it looks like a chop job to this day. My hair is very curly and takes a long time to grow and I regret going here so much. I miss my hair

In August I went to a former employee named Brittany to get a shag haircut done. I wanted an all over color done on my hair instead she decided to do a balayage she left the back of my hair long and gave me HORRIBLE SHORT CHOPPY LAYERS in the front. She also proceeded to overcharge me and then added her own tip I was in a hurry to pick my son up from school so I handed her my card and she had me put my signature on her phone card reader. I addressed all of this with her and she refunded me the tip she gave herself and for the products she s overcharged me with. I ve been trying to let my hair grow out since then and it looks like a mullet and I can t style it whatsoever because of how choppy it is. I decided to give AR beauty another chance and made an appointment with a woman named Jodi. My appointment was at 9am but when I walked in she was putting extensions in someone s hair and talking/gossiping with the client and the client s guest. She told me to sit and wait and that she was almost done 3 different times. 9:50 rolls around and she still wasn t done and was still talking away. I got up and left out of frustration because of how unprofessional that was. When someone makes an appointment it s always important to manage your time.

I saw reviews and photos of this salon so I tried to book online and emailed them and then I called to ask about scheduling an appointment and they told me they would call me back with availability but I never heard from them. No email back and no phone call or even a text...Im a little glad to be honest because they were not very friendly on the phone anyway, it was almost like they were annoyed I called... I ended up going to ARock Salon which is AMAZING so if anyone is having issues here I definitely recommend them!

Absolutely love this place!! been going to krystn for my curly hair needs. Shes a very outgoing and caring stylist and cannot stress how much of a great stylist she is. communicates my wants for my hairstyles and makes me feel very comfortable. Everyone there at the beauty bar is VERY kind !!! I lost my earring there and they all dropped everything and helped me find it! couldnt be more thankful for an amazing safe hair community!

I was looking to get my hair colored and cut so I looked into different Salons around town. I came across AR Beauty and saw that they happened to have a stylist named Krystn Torres that cut and styled curly hair. I was very excited and reached out inquiring about an appointment. Unfortunately, she mentioned being booked until August, so I declined. A few days later, Krystn reached out stating she had two last second cancellations and then proceeded to give FIVE different available dates! I shouldve known then that something was off, but was excited to have my hair done and proceeded to pick a day. I picked a day that was literally two weeks out. From there she informed me about the deposit, which I understand and paid; the appointment was scheduled. Fast forward to the night before my appointment. I receive a text message at almost 11pm on a Friday night that she had a family emergency and had to cancel. Obviously this was unfortunate to hear, so I told her that and politely requested a refund. I was looking forward to this appointment and missed my sons tournament out of town. I never received a text back from her, but left her alone because I didnt want to be rude with her having a family emergency and all. I later learn that there was no family emergency, it was her birthday weekend! So now I am livid trying to understand why this stylist would even schedule me if she knew she wanted to enjoy her time! I literally had to show up to AR Beauty Salon and speak to the manager about the issue. To my surprise, Krystn is there cutting another clients hair, meanwhile, she never communicated with me and just simply had my $130 deposit! Had I not shown up to the salon, I guarantee she would have just kept my money! I am grateful for Andrea, the stylist that took the time to listen and be understanding of the situation and HELP me get my money back! A few minutes after leaving, Krystn sent a text apologizing and stating that she sent the money back through another app to a client with the same name as mine! So youre just sending money to folks without confirming?! I didnt believe anything this girl was saying. Just bad for business and a horrible representation for the company.

I ve been getting my hair highlights for almost 30yr. I m a natural dark blonde, which means I lift very easily. To my dismay, I came home and pulled my hair away from my face revealing very brassy, yellow and orange spots in my hair. I m very upset because I have a big vacation planned and now I feel ugly. I won t be getting my hair done in San Angelo ever again, I ll drive 6hr to Houston where I m from

I moved to San Angelo in 2018. It took me almost a year to find someone who can correct color of my hair and style. Gabby is THE BEST in town and she s been taking care of my hair since. She s very professional, and she surprises me with new look every time I visit her. Love her talent, personality, and professionalism! Krystn did outstanding work on my daughters curly hair. It wasnt even curly when we got there but WOW...it looks so curly and healthy now! Krystn was extremely detailed about styling steps/advice and elaborated on whatever questions I had. Really, really wish we had found her years ago! I thought the price was extremely reasonable given the service and practically a hands on lesson. The salon was clean and had a great aesthetic. My daughter was scared going in but was all smiles going out! She told all of her friends right away! So happy to see my daughter confident about her new look and excited about her natural curls!

I had the pleasure of getting my haircut and eyebrows waxed by Andrea, and I could not be more happy with the result and experience. I didnt really know what I wanted going in, but Andrea gave some suggestions and she also talked me through everything that she was doing which was incredibly helpful and comforting, something I havent experienced before. i got my hair cut a while ago but it wasn t a good cut and I m still trying to grow out my hair to fix it even more... i got it fixed twice but still it was choppy. One side was longer than the other, it was choppy, and i was given curtain bangs that looked like a bowl cut

Pretty bummed that for my first time here, they would set me up with someone who did not know what they were doing. Way to leave a bad 1st impression. Im new to San Angelo and having to find someone to trust with your hair all over again...is not easy.I picked this place, because Salons typically have a better reputation than Supercuts/Pro-cuts/& Wal-Mart .. not in this case.

Im new to the area, and someone to trust with your hair is the most difficult thing in the world! I called the Beauty bar and the ladies there were kind enough to introduce me to Miller. The mans legit, did everything I asked. Ive had previous bad luck going to another place I wont name in San Angelo. But all the fear has been set aside as Ive found my new go to place for mens haircut and styling. Im sure the ladies are great at doing their thing here too, so if you havent tried the Beauty Bar just go already!

Veronica did such an amazing job on my hair the transformation was incredible she fixed my crooked haircut to a perfect im so in love with it haircut. She also talked me through everything that was going on with my hair and hair products that I was using and how they arent really all that great for the price I pay to have beautiful hair. I love how comfortable it was to talk to her about exactly what I wanted and how on edge I was about getting a new stylist and she made me feel so relax and comfortable that it went so well today I was in AWE! She is really awesome and I am so glad my sister inlaw told me about AR Beauty Bar and so thankful that Amy helped me get in with Veronica as fast as she did. I am so blessed that Veronica had an opening to as well as soon as she did it was all so perfect! Veronica is by far the best stylist Ive ever had in my life. The last time I got a haircut or professional color was a year ago, and naturally, my hair accrued significant damage and residue buildup. Veronica meticulously took care of my long hair - trimmed it, bleached it, applied a clarifying shampoo, colored it, applied a hair masque, and styled it. She fixed a whole years worth of damage in six hours, and every minute was worth it! She made me feel comfortable and relaxed the entire time. The salon itself is spacious and immaculate. It has a natural, airy aesthetic with its cozy window benches, hanging plants, and floating shelves. At the same time, it does not sacrifice function over form. The mirrors are free-standing instead of affixed to the walls, so there are more salon chairs without feeling crowded in the least. The shampoo sinks were so comfy to lay my head on that I felt like I could fall asleep. And its fun to watch people walking downtown while getting your hair done. Im so happy to finally have an excellent stylist and hair salon! Thank you Veronica.
