The staff here is great! They are very knowledgeable and helpful. The owner engages with the customers. They give fair prices on trades with MTG cards. The food is good as well. They work together like a well oiled machine. They ve set the bar.

My son and I come in all the time. He loves going there and meeting his friends there to play for hrs on end. He has gotten to know the staff and they are always friendly and helpful. It is one of the highlights of his week to go there. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. It is awsome to see such good people doing what they love and spreading there passion to new people and kids .

Logan and Gwuin are great employees that have become friends over the years. They and every other worker are always attentive and ready with a greeting when I walk in. I wish the squishable section was kept a little more up to date with new releases but I understand that they re a slow moving product.

Love this place, stopped by to check out what they had and pick out some cards for my decks. Good selection of cards, had everything I needed! Staff is great and greeted on my way in and Jason, the guy helping me, showed me some cards that were great additions. All in all I do recommend this place and Im sure to stop by again

Awesome place! Im new to town, and found this place. Great selection of popular tabletop and card games (Warhammer, Magic, pokemon, D&D), as well as huge selection of board games and painting supplies. Staff is extremely friendly, prices are very reasonable. Has a snackbar and room with tables for games/tournaments. This place is awesome!

Phat Catz is a local gaming store that has big dreams and the local gaming community is glad for that I believe. The selection is not as large as some other places, but in the middle of West Texas, it is nice to have. Supplements for Warhammer, Dungeones&Dragons and other staples can be found. A fair selection of TCG items can also be found. They do provide game spaces and also a limited selection of food and drink. All in all, it is a small gamers oasis in the west texas plains. I hope that business continues to grow and we can keep things local. That being said, prices are a bit higher so that they can stay local.

This is my families go to game shop. We go here maybe 8 or more times a year and play in the Pokemon tournaments that take place on Sundays. The staff is super friendly and we have gotten to know them over the past year. I have known the owner in passing for years and he is a great guy. Great job Phat Katz team on a job well done!

Good environment, selection was a bit small but not terrible, good prices - The card selection for most popular TCGs was excellent, even for more obscure games, loved the different plush toys and knick knacks, the book selection felt a bit limited for resources outside of standard D&D, mini selection was okay but Ive seen larger selections before (i.e. Mad Hatters in Lubbock).

An excellent gaming store for Magic:The Gathering cards, D&D, Warhammer and nerdy novelties. Very nice store with a brand new gaming area with private rooms to rent for gaming. The card selection is top notch. The store is spacious and located in a great area near Fort Concho with lots of parking. A minor criticism is that the boardgame selection is limited compared to some other gaming stores Ive visited. That said, they make up for it with the quality of the games they do carry and the huge number of Magic cards and RPG stuff they have. The staff is also very friendly and helpful with our purchases and general information. This is our new favorite game store.

I m an avid magic player that goes to a large number of stores around Texas. I stumbled upon this store for an RCQ a few weeks back and when I say this is the nicest store in the state, know I m not exaggerating. Not only was the RCQ ran very well, far better than most despite no certified judge, I felt very welcomed and invited. If you live in or around the San Angelo area you re doing yourself a disservice by going anywhere else.

I was recently taken aback by a recent change where people would be charged just to sit and play. However, after I left a review previously on my reaction to said change, the employees and owner were quick to remedy the issue. To help cover costs for table space for patrons, they implemented a program where you can acquire points from past and future purchases. I was originally concerned with having to start from scratch to earn points but learned that would not be the case. The company has been great with their responses and accepting feedback.

First and foremost, I do not regularly play board games or cards. But I did wander into the store to see what it was about. I can say I like the store for the attention to detail, but the employee started to inform me that it wasn t a good day to ask him questions. The employees look stressed about some sort of tournament that was going on today.

Love this local B&M store for our DND options. Tons of minis available, both player characters and npcs/baddies. Carry a great selection of paints, boxed sets, terrain etc. Also lots of table top board games. Nice gaming area. Love their online order feature, can just place it easy on the website and pick it up. Quick and efficient.

I ve come to the store several times in the past for some tabletop gaming accessories, but I recently got back into the Pokémon TCG and watched too see if they had some of the newer products in store. I was surprised when I walked in and saw exactly the product I was looking for, but when I asked for the price, I realized why it was still on the shelf. A product that s MSRP s for $129.99 was being sold for $419. I couldn t believe a LGS was price gouging it s customers like this. Won t be returning for any products the future.

Nice place to get your classic gaming supplies. I saw all sorts of cards and games. The staff is friendly and they have lots of knowledge about their products. Im not really into the more detailed games, but theyve got so many cool products its the first place Id go in town if I wanted to learn! We went there mainly for the Pokémon cards, they had a good selection even when most places in town are sold out.

This is a great gaming store. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. The stock is current, and if they dont have something theyll do their best to get it for you. They offer a lot of different gaming types from board games, TCG, RPGs, etc. The community is fantastic as well. Definitely worth a trip in and they have snacks and a cafe on site! Highly recommend!

I went with my boyfriend and my brother on a Sunday for the first time to check it out. We all had a great time! We brought our magic the gathering cards and was able to buy some more cards we were looking for at an affordable price. We stayed and battled each other for hours. We got to check out their sandwich shop too. I had the Kirby and it was really good!! Everyone was super friendly and nice and the atmosphere was definitely pleasing even with all the different groups playing different table top games. Were planning to go again and make this our third home.

A nice location but still a bit rough on the inside. The store has a decent selection but could use a little beefing up in the board game and rpg department as these only had a few small shelves dedicated to them. Looks like there is a ton of room for gaming though and my understanding is that theyre constantly upgrading and refining their location. I look forward to what these guys do in 2019.
