Me and my friends did the franchise room which is the ice cream room. It was soo fun and good team bonding. I highly suggest you go to the think in the box. It was suspenseful too. It is worth your time, trust me. Also the people that work there is amazing and friendly.

An absolute fun, fun time. We took 3 of our grandkids and we all laughed, yelled, sweated, screamed and panicked during our time in the room. It was fun to work together to solve the clues and make it out of our room with 20 seconds to spare. Would definitely recommend this to all friends and families. Such an awesome and entertaining experience.

The owner was very welcoming and took the time to ask about our experience with escape rooms before sending us through -- she sent us to a more challenging room than originally planned and it was an excellent balance of challenge and do-ability. Some elements of the escape room werent operating correctly, but it didnt detract from the experience as a while. She gave a coupon to make up for the things that werent working quite right. Definitely planning to go back later this year.

My brother and I are on vacation and came to Texas to visit our grandma and decided to come and try out some stuff and decided to do an escape room. We had such a blast. We took my nephew who is 13 that was staying with us for the weekend. And we all had a blast. We did Monkey Slime and everyone was so nice and made the experience fantastic. Lisa was our guide and did such an amazing job and Angel talked with us a bit afterwards and you can tell they really love doing this. We will 1000% be coming back. Thank you guys for helping us make a great memory.

I was able to jump into a booking as a solo player and was only able to do one room (Teslas Coffin) while in the area for a business trip, but overall I had a lot of fun and it was a great experience. Pros: I appreciated the professionalism of the staff and the check-in went smoothly. There are plentiful props to make you appreciate the story. At least in the room I did, I didnt see any true red herrings... and this was a big plus in my book (I hate wasting time when a puzzle ends up not meaning anything) - most objectives were straight-forward. It seems like there is a good rotation for rooms, being that there will eventually be a new room that replaces an older one. I appreciated the nudges and I believe the whole group did, but I would have loved to see a way to proactively request a hint rather than wait for the nudges. I liked the wall of fame for those who completed all the rooms - not a lot of places do this (they only do records boards). I felt like the puzzles matched the difficulty rating and there was a plentiful variety of them so that everyone could work on things and contribute. I loved the little quirky fun things that lurked in the room and how interactive some of the door contraptions were. Always nice when the escape room moves you out of the initial room you are placed in and into a new space. Notes: The online booking is not feasible for solo players, and this might be by design in case some groups have minors or another reason you wouldnt shove a random person in with others - once a group has partially booked the room, I kept getting an error that I needed more (5) simultaneous bookings to continue. I did have to go in person to see if I could drop in a room - may be nice to have a standby option in case there werent any bookings. I understood the pricing for a group, but I wish there was a discount as a solo player and for military as a solo player - I ended up paying the full price (which I do believe was worth it, but I didnt see where you would get a discount until the 3rd and 4th player in a simultaneous booking). As far as the room, there were instances where paint/markings were rubbing off or barely visible and a few instances where the intended functionality of the room failed to work (at one point the game master had to pause the game to allow us to retrieve an item that was supposed to have popped out). I think things just kind of get worn out over time (requiring a few tries to get things to work) and other things just required some level of intuition because there were no specific instructions on *how* to do something when we clearly knew what needed to be done (requiring a nudge). Ive seen it happen before at other escape rooms, so its not a knock on Think In A Box, just something to be aware of in case you are fairly sure your solve is correct (try it again once or twice). Big shout out to the staff and owners. The last few times Ive been in the area (many years ago), San Angelo didnt have something this cool for team building. Shame I cant stick around and do more rooms, but maybe one day in the future!

Did it for the first time today with a date and their brother on easy difficulty and only made it out with 7 seconds. The challenge is definitely there and that makes it worth your money. We always have so much fun doing the escape rooms here. We did our 5th or 6th one yesterday, and as usual it was a blast. The staff is always so nice and friendly, and they are very accommodating. Probably the best escape room we ve done! Had a great time will be back for more Update: 6/13/24 so last night I took two of my kiddos and wife to another one as well in April I had a Meeting held in San Angelo and I took everyone to do a room as a team building event. So 3 rooms so far, and can honestly say I never leave disappointed. When I took my team of GM s for a Buddys Home Furnishings team building, many have never did one and looked at me like I was crazy. Now they ask when we will do the next one. Highly recommended!!!

We had a room booked and reserved but no one showed up when we got there. The reasoning is bazaar, they wanted to charge us more and make us pay for 5 people because we were paying for 4. They just updated their policy, but did not bother to update their booking software which let us book and gave my friend a confirmation code that the time was booked. While a bit scummy this would be fine, but she just decided not to show up because my friend did not answer his phone when she called about this. When we all got there and called the owner she just berated my friend for not answering his phone and blamed him for all this, even though he had no access to his phone and was working like crazy with me in a military training where he was not allowed to have his phone. We have limited free time and this was hard to coordinate so this was rather annoying. Only reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1 is according to my friend the place is pretty fun if you go on Friday, Saturday or Sunday and join a group. Just do not try to use their booking system on the other days on you will be outside getting yelled out for not reading fine print of there booking confirmation email that is apparently not a booking confirmation email.

So much fun! We did two rooms (Gold rush cabin and twist of fate) and escaped both. Gold rush is a great room if you re still a little new to escape rooms, and twist of fate is a great challenge for more experienced players (we only had 52 seconds left). Lots of fun and their nudging is super helpful and only when absolutely needed. Staff was super friendly and the puzzles were great!

The details and imagination behind this hidden gem are outstanding! This place is so welcoming and friendly along with the excellent stories about the rooms beforehand. We had the most fabulous time here! No one was scheduled for the day we were in San Angelo but Lisa went above and beyond to open up her facility so my husband and I could make this a part of his birthday celebration. He had always wanted to try an escape room adventure and this was the perfect venue. I cant even begin to tell you how much fun the Gold Rush room was - we look forward to being in San Angelo again to try one of the other rooms! Lisa made our visit a wonderful adventure for my husband and I. Kudos to Think in a Box for such a great time! We love think box! We have gone multiple times with friend groups, work groups, and even have taken our kids. It s the perfect fun filled activity for all ages!

We did Money Slime with the kids and it was SO FUN. We have done a few escape rooms at other places and this one was very good. Our kids are 9, 6 and 5 and they were able to help, but needed our help also. I highly recommend it. It also would have been fun without the kids. The service was just as good as the room, so thats always a huge plus!

We did an escape room over the holidays with a wide range of ages and everyone had so much fun! This was my first escape room and I definitely want to go back! I was so impressed with the detail and design of the room components as well as the creativity of the games and puzzles within we had to solve. A fun way to spend time together as a family!

We had 6 kids ages 11-13 and two adults. The kids LOVED it! The kids definitely needed some adult help and hints to stay focused and make their escapes, but it also had parts they could figure out themselves. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and patient. We are already talking about a return trip!!

Just finished my 4th room here and, as usual, we had a great time. Lisa and the staff are the best (even opened early to accommodate our schedule). Ive done 2 rooms with co-workers (this one included) and 2 rooms with family. I highly recommend these for team building events. If youre considering it, do it, you wont be disappointed. Ill be back again soon.

We had a wonderful time on my God daughters birthday! The staff is amazing and so patient lol! Our youngest participant got scared and the staff let her watch from the screens and gave her a snack so we could continue on, you have no idea how that touched our hearts! Birthday girl got to continue on and youngest got to be a little spoiled too! We had so much fun and boy did we need a lot of hints or nudges I think is what they call them! Yep we did the novice and still needed loads of help! First timers for the majority of our group. Great escape room variety and levels of difficulty!
