The kitchen is beyond ineffective (over an hour to get a simple breakfast), additionally, they made the wrong eggs and meats for me although my wife s order was correct, just late. The worst part is that the waitress never once checked on us during that entire time. I eventually got up and walked over to her after an hour and asked about the status of our food and refilling drinks. We told her that we were about to leave so that we can eat somewhere else. Lo and behold our food was almost ready (remember it was still wrong) our food arrived and we started to eat. We immediately asked for the check because God only knows when we d see her again. When we were paying I pondered whether or not to tell her the order was wrong but eventually told her, to which she replied that she said that she knew it was wrong. Then she said that if I were to tell her that sooner she would have fixed it immediately. Needless to say those replies only made her look worse. Please train your wait staff on how to handle delays in the kitchen. Ignorance is not bliss on the receiving end. It was also expensive to add insult to injury just eat anywhere else.

They didnt appear that busy, so we decided to go in. It had been a long time since we had eaten at an Ihop. There was no one at the front to seat us, and when we were finally seated, we waited for our waiter. Once we ordered, we waited over 20 minutes for our meal. Now I remember why we dont go to Ihop, the service is terrible

We were seated right away, placed our order, and waited. 45 minutes go by as I sat and watched about a dozen plates get put in the serving window and about 8 servers walk by them all repeatedly and not deliver a single plate. Then the table next to us were served with their order. We were there long before they were. I wanted to leave right then, but my husband stayed put in our booth, so I was stuck. Our order was not complicated. It wasnt until my husband overheard the guy tell our server his food was raw. She literally said,Do you want us to remake it? I pushed my husband right out of that booth, and we walked out. Needless to say, it may take a while before I even think of going back there!!! If I could give a zero star rating, I would.

So, here it is San Angelo IHOP got a remodel but they are not ready for a customer. I saw trash underneath tables and a giant roach that was still alive over next to the wall today. I can see where it s very dirty even though they did a remodel. The coffee is not that great because it tastes old. The food is OK but when you see garbage all over the floor and nobody wants to pay attention to it like cleaning it up then it can turn your stomach. They have had a dirty restaurant for years and even though they do a remodel, it just stays dirty. Nobody seems to want to clean over there. I m scared to walk into the restroom if the dining room area is that bad. The Parking lot and sidewalk area needs a pressure steam cleaning, but they can t even take care of the inside, so why complain about the outside? We got up and left after we saw the bug. So gross !! 2 stars for atmosphere and should be one star but they had a remodel so that adds 2 it. 1 star for service because they refuse to clean very good, too busy or lazy? 3 stars for food because the place is dirty and that makes it less enjoyable.

8/10/24 at 9am We Got seated in the back of the restaurant, waited 10 mins for a waitress to get our drink order with no luck even though 3 waitress walked right past us and tended to tables near us. Had to stop a hostess to ask if we could get drinks. Waitress finally showed up for drink order and it took another 12 mins for our drinks. My daughter has a gluten allergy so we order her the gluten free pancakes, waitress brings out all our food and has no idea which pancake is the gluten free one. After explaining this could make my daughter very sick if she got the wrong food the waitress Went back to the kitchen to have them make a gluten free pancake, by the time it was done we were already finished with our food. My 11 year old daughter took 2 bites of the gluten free pancake and refused to eat anymore. Waitress came back to give the ticket. We told her our daughter refused to eat the pancake cause it didnt taste right, her reply are you ready to pay? She didnt care what so ever. Will never be back to this restaurant. AVOID! Will be contacting corporate office also

our waitress was very very inattentive. she is frequently there at night and commonly wears her hair up in a bun. not sure what her name is but she s worked there for a while. My friends and i sat and finished our drinks, we all had empty glasses that were never refilled until we asked and even still it took her 30 minutes just to come back and take our order but forget about our drinks, so with a second reminder she eventually gets one refilled drink to us leaving 2 people still with empty glasses. once we got the one refill we ordered our food and we waited for that for around 40 minutes with no drinks because at this point the one she did refill was gone, not once did she notice and come check up on us or offer refills when our food was brought out it was all super cold, we were there for a time period of 3 hours and were only attended to maybe 5 times and received only 2 refills after we had asked several times. she was constantly forgetting we had asked for refills, utensils, jelly, or napkins. she only had 2 tables and it was not busy at all because we went around 3 am. -4/10

Waitress was in a hurry to get our order. We asked for more time, she circled the tables then came back, expecting us to be ready. Waited over 40 minutes for our food while the servers were just standing around talking and drinking by the servers station. Food came out looking messy and the fruit was not ripe at all. Had a table that the top was wabblie. The food took forever to get to us. Just my husband and I. My eggs were really runny ( whites were not done) Gross. My toast did not have butter on it and was hard as can be. The crepes were over done and couldnt hardly cut them. Will never go back.

Sunday at the San Angelo IHOP is quite the experience. Upon entering, before the hostess could even say hello, a sign was given to me that I (unfortunately) chose to ignore. It s not pee! announces mom #1 to the entire waiting area. Her child -with pee all over her politely disagreed. Then Mom #2 got involved. PEE !! It IS PEE ITS YELLOW!! she shrieks, followed by -No its not PEE!!! from mom #1. This was quite the spectacular entrance. I also saw 1 ten-year-old morbidly obese boy drink a liter of Coke and inhale stacks upon stacks of pancakes while moms cell phone never left her ear. I think his dad and him had a pig-out contest. On the upside, the food spectacularly leaves your digestive tract within an hour, so make sure it is not a long drive home. The floor manager was a clone of Uncle Rico from Napolean Dynamite.

If I could give a 0 for service and atmosphere I would. We waited on our food for at least 40 minutes, and there weren t that many customers. There were at least 5-6 servers. The servers and kitchen were extremely loud, and the language was beyond inappropriate. One of the servers called what seemed to be the manager on duty a f ing a-hole loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear. The n word was thrown around along with the s word and f word. There were children in the restaurant aged about 3-17. We will NOT be returning because we were so uncomfortable, especially having our daughter with us! Shame on you IHOP.

If I could give them 0 stars I would! I went in for a to go order that wasn t ready and continued to wait for 30 min! When I asked for my food the waiter (Tori) told me my to go order is not a priority because the two tables she had tip . I paid for my food before they made it! The people inside get to pay after it s made. Little does she know I had a cash tip waiting for her. But since my food and time are not a priority her tip isn t either. I get back to work and my food is over cooked & cold!!! No syrup or butter for my pancakes and no steak sauce that I specifically asked for. For both meals I ordered we got ONE utensil set. I called back and asked for a full refund. The same waiter answered and thought it was funny. I will be following up for a refund tomorrow! I will never refer this IHOP or come back. The food and atmosphere was very acceptable, but, the servers appearance was very troubling. She had a lot of piercing on her face which was very hard to look at and unhealthy and her ear lobes had those holes with that large ring and a LOT of tattoos. She was polite and attentive. We were there Wednesday 5/29 at noon. Parking: Too many pickup parking in front of door.

Cooks Don t know how to cook eggs. Often come here after 11pm and always ask for over hard eggs. 9 time out of 10 they don t know how to cook over hard eggs. This time was no different. I asked for over hard eggs they brought out barely medium runny yolks. I Asked waitress again to bring for over hard and she brought me back flat scrambled essentially. The cook needs to open up google and look up what a OVER HARD egg is which is a friend egg with yolk cooked all the way through!!!! Not scrambled eggs that aren t chopped up and not runnny yolk!!! I was too anxious to ask waitress a third time to bring my over hard because at least I could eat the scrambled cause I can t eat the runny eggs. Rant over just please teach cooks how to cook over hard eggs properly.

I want to say thank you to IHOP, they donated breakfast for the Lake View track team this morning! The staff at IHOP was so nice this morning as they packed up food to feed 100 hungry teens. Breakfast is so important for these athletes when they will be out on the track all day long. The whole team really appreciated their food this morning! The new berry biscuit is dry and ultimately too rich to eat. I asked for crisp bacon to crumble in the gravy to put on my biscuits. It was limp and soggy. I had to get extra gravy. The small ramakin wasnt enough for both halves of the biscuit. The newer menus misrepresent what you get. The order is for 2 slices of French toast, and we got 1 slice that was drenched in scrambled egg and fried on one side. Oh, and my unsweet tea wasnt. Overall, the food was regular. The service was slow, the kitchen slower. My food took over 30 minutes to come out from the kitchen. It wasnt busy for a Saturday morning. No waiting to be seated. Lackluster experience for sure.

Tables and chairs sticky. Bathroom stinks. Waitress stood around chatting amongst themselves and did not come to the table until 8 mins after we were seated. Waitress did not introduce herself or say any kind of greeting. Very Surrey and seemed put out she had to wait on us. Many of the wait staff had hair hanging in their face and over their shoulders. That is very disturbing thinking that would touch our food. I didn t find a hair in my food but we, all at my table were scared to eat the food with examining it. That s No Way to eat. Our waitress didn t check on us to see if we needed anything. I had to get up three times to ask for things we needed. We will not leave a tip and will talk to management. Plus I will make a point to give the waitress who was serving in the section next to us will get my tip. She was totally on top of her job.

On my crutches, I waited to be noticed. After, TORI, finished serving her tables (with a smile) she was the only one that noticed me, with several servers sitting around doing nothing. Shameful! Thank you TORI, for making my Veterans Day celebration a better experience! (She even helped me take my left offers to my car )

I went to eat here with my sister in law and my husband. The waitress we had was really rude. She clearly had some sort of issue with my sister in law bc she took a very long time to bring her food and her food only. When my sister asked for a straw she had an attitude and pretty much threw it at her. Then my husband paid for mine and his meal, he gave her a 50$ bill. When he got the change back it was supposed to be 17.50$ he only got 4 dollars back.

If there were more stars for customer service, i would definitely add more. CC had extremely great service. So attentive and courteous. She was attending several of us, cleaning tables and taking payments. All with a smile. You need to have more like her. Good job!!

There were bugs crawling on the wall. I didnt see them until AFTER we ate. When I pointed them out to a witness she said oh theyre just crickets, wont do no good to kill em...morell just come right back in. Will NOT be back.

My wife just came from this location. We eat IHOP quite a bit and have never had service this bad. It took an hour to get the food and then when asked how long it would be for my to go order, my wife was told it would be ANOTHER hour. We ve been to this location several times. It seems to just get worse every time.

The food was not good! French fries were as crunchy as a Cheeto and hollow in the middle! Food was not hot just barely warm or just not cold. Waitress brought our drinks after a fairly long wait. She brought our food and never came back. Didnt even check to see if our food was okay or if we needed a drink refill. When we went to the register to pay since she never brought us our ticket, I told her the French fries were bad. She said she would let the cook and manager know. We were very disappointed with the meal and service. Wont ever go there for lunch again.

This place needs serious management and wait staff. Entered waited 15 minutes, never ever noticed by any staff. Staff looked at us but never greeted or acknowledged us. They werent even busy. Half the tables were empty, but you could hear the waiters having a good time in the kitchen area. Needless to say, we never waste our time going back to see if its gotten any better

The food was so disappointing. The service wasn t great. I kept having to ask my waiter for a replacement drink. Finally got a drink after requesting multiple times. I never got a refill on my drink once it was finished. The chicken fried steak I got was horrible. I got a little square of hash browns. It s like they didn t have enough for the day. The waiter took forever to take our order and all of the waiters/waitresses were congregating near the back conversing instead of seeing if any customers needed assistance. IHOP has definitely gone down!! I will not be returning to spend my hard earned money here again.

I don t usually do this but I m absolutely so disappointed with my visit. If I could give it 0 stars I would. The silverware was disgusting, there was a hair in my food and when she asked me if I wanted something else I asked for the French toast and then watched as it sat on the counter for 15 minutes while every single one of the employees sat around just talking and they made me pay before I got my food so she didn t really care since she already got her tip. Just disrespectful.
