Overall it was okay. Felt underwhelming since the restaurant is very pretty inside but the food was lacking. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye and for a $50 steak it shouldve had more flavor. You re better off getting something at roadhouse for cheaper and that taste better. I ordered the salmon and bacon wrapped shrimp. It was okay. The salmon was a bit on the dryer side and came on top of this wooden plank, which added some flavor but it wasn t anything special. We received poor service as well. We were 1 of 3 tables inside and our server was distracted at the bar the whole time. It was difficult to get her attention due to her talking to the guests at the bar. We were left without refills for half of our meal. It was our first time here and won t be coming back due to the food not reflecting the price and poor service.

Food was really good, mot amazing. Mushroom appetizer delicious. The place looked nice inside. Our server was not the best. She disappeared. We had to go look for her to get more drink. Would have stayed longer and ordered more drinks and a dessert if the waitress was available. The only thing that was horrible was the water. Is it just us, or does the water taste ugly?

The food was great! The food presentation was on point. I was satisfied for sure. I had to deduct a few stars because it was freezing in the restaurant. The service was decent. Our waiter was nice but could be improved. We waited quite sometime for our check. But all in all it was great!

My husband and I went out for our anniversary dinner. Our waiter was attentive and never let us wait for anything. It was the best food that I have had in a long time. We had escargot for an appetizer. That was better than any place that we have had escargot before. Hubby had the prime rib and it was tender and juicy. I had the shrimp in wine and orange sauce. Amazing! We finished our dinner with a chocolate bomb. That was heavenly. The Liam s Steakhouse in Brownsville is the perfect place for that special night.

We went to celebrate my birthday. Ambience was good although lighting wasn t enough. It was just too dark. Service; was not good at all. We either had a new waitress or waiter, not sure, or they just didn t want to be at work that evening. Food; I had the filet mignon, md rare, and it was delicious. To be honest better than Landry s. My caramelized carrots were to die for and my baked potato was cooked just right. Would ve loved a roll or some kind of pc of bread though. My husband had the ribeye, he wasn t very impressed but he said overall was okay. He said Texas Roadhouse was better. My children had the burgers and they didn t like them. They didn t even eat 1/4 of them. They were not cooked well even though we asked to make sure that they would be well done. To be honest, they went straight into the trash. Shrimp cocktail was blah. Would never get it again. The crème brûlée was not good. Beer was good! Bottle! Would probably go again to have the filet, and hoping for better service. No one wants to go have dinner and pay a $250 bill to see sour puss faces on the servers.

Scroll to bottom for cliff notes. Work Monday-Sat and decide to treat myself to an amazing Sunday dinner. Walked in to a pretty quiet restaurant alone and sat down at the bar. Ordered calamari and was impressed. Calamari was cooked well with a meaty marinara sauce. I decided to order their ultimate filet mignon (don t remember the menu name). I ordered it medium rare with steak fries and asparagus. When the food came out, i noticed the steak was bleu instead of medium rare. I started off with the fries and they were amazing, asparagus was done extremely well. The steak however, needs its own description. It was covered what looked to be minced crab meat. The steak itself was foul and taste of road kill. I actually wasn t sure if i was eating beef or a dead animal scraped off the road. The food was presentable though. Recommendations to readers, if your feet wet in post apocalyptic rotten flesh consumption, this is your spot. Again, this was just this particular item off the menu. I heard the other place on the island was better. For me, this ends my experience with Liam s steakhouse. Cliff notes: My 2¢ Zombi flesh sashimi style steak, maybe tuna idk Good calamari Good service Maybe owner doesn t like black people , I took the warning to just say away.

I went out hoping a special dinner for my anniversary and we decided to both order King Crab Legs for our special night. When we got out soup plate filled with tiny pcs of crab legs and lots of water it was very disappointing. I told the waiter the flavor was not good and they are not as described he did not care, and did not want to return the plates. Not even mentioning the size of the crab legs. Really really sad! Take a look for yourself

We were so looking forward to go to a good steak restaurant and were quiet disappointed. The prices were on a higher level, I ordered a dozen fresh oysters, a rib eye medium with Brussel sprouts and French fries, my husband Mahi Mahi filet with a baked potatoe. The oysters had no saltwater left inside, they tasted very blend , they were fresh but i missed the ocean saltwater taste completeky. My steak was almost well done, so the very nice server took it back to the kitchen. We had to wait another almost 20 min, till my second steak came, my husband was waiting for me so his food git cold already. The steak again had almost no blood or pink in it, the Brussel sprouts were now almost charred and burned , smothered with honey. The side salad had a very moldy taste, my husbands fish was good, but drowned in a cheese sauce..we paid over $160 , the only thing which was really good was the bread and the butter and the awesome service of this young woman whose name I forgot, sorry for that. We will not recommend this restaurant to anybody. The atmosphere was very pleasant though, but too dark to read the menus.

To begin with, our server didnt offer us anything to drink. Because of its low-lighting, we had difficulty reading the menu. There wasnt much to choose from for the little one. And, for a pricey, upscale steakhouse, I guess that I expected a little more on the menu to select from. I doubt that we will be returning customers!

Great, attentive and cordial service. I agree with other comments here; place is a little too dim. Fluorescent colored light bulbs devalue the quality crafted ambience. The person cooking steaks knows his or her stuff, very good at it. However, the quality of the steaks (meat) is 2 stars. Quality of steaks at Texas Roadhouse is much better, but those cooks are not as good as Liams cooks - what a dilemma. Overall, good experience, but theres room for improvement.

So over all cute place for a date! Personally Im a person that goes for food so over all the food is what gives it a 3 star... I would rather go to a food truck on the side of the road for the same price(not a budget friendly place). Although the service was excellent and the atmosphere was super chill and the food came out fast. Over all probably wont go back unless its for a meeting or event.

My family and I were heading to a more casual type restaurant but decided to go here for the first time. I assume our waiter (an older gentleman) thought he wouldnt get tipped based on our appearance and the fact that I asked for only water to drink (as usual). I ordered a salmon dish, and it lacked flavor and was quite dry. The other dishes included rosemary lemon chicken, boneless rib eye and fish & shrimp. I rather pay for a $15 steak elsewhere.

Last evening Friday Feb 17 2023, friends, my wife and I went to Liams in Brownsville. The service was excellent and the coffee even better. I ordered Prime Rib medium rare. It came at least medium well. There were other patrons in the restaurant, and the waiter did everything he could to keep us happy. Therefore not wanting to make a scene I did not complain. My fault and somethingI have regretted that since leaving the restaurant.

My husband and I ended up here by chance. We didn t know what to eat and saw the sign and decided to try it. The location in Brownsville is beautiful, the atmosphere is calm and super elegant but that s about it. The food was not worth the price. You expect more from a place like this and we were extremely disappointed. My husband ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp and they were not the best plus his rice was still undercooked. I ordered the burger thinking well it has the name of the restaurant, it should be good. Meat was dry and the taste was horrible. If you want good food this is NOT it. Oh but service was excellent! Our waiter was great. I will give credit where credit is due.

The food is one of the best Ive ever had. The service was also amazing. The lady that was waiting our table did an outstanding job! She made sure all of our needs were met the whole time. She had a great sense of humor and made us a new pot of coffee every time she got a new cup. The bathrooms were super clean and large. The interior of the building was extremely aestheticly appealing. The tables were very large for we had plenty of room to eat. This place is not to upscale but I would recommend looking some what nice. The whole menu is pretty expensive. My only complaint is for this being a steakhouse there is only a rib eye steak on the menu for steaks. But plenty of sea food
