We played Pickleball while the turkey was cooking. The Parks and Rec has it set up very nice and several groups were able to use the courts at the same time. Additionally there have been some changes to streets that access the courts. Google maps has not caught the change, yet!

Herfurth Park (as well as most of Main Street Rowlett) is undergoing a total make-over. Its a bit of a mess at the moment, but should be lovely when its complete. Toilets: The public restrooms at the dog park are clean and a great asset! There are other restroom facilities in the area (tennis courts/baseball fields and roller hockey rink), but with the current construction, theyre usually unavailable. The city often has a portable restrooms/shower trailer near the roundabout (have seen it; never tried it). Dog-friendliness: Lots of green space, and a dog park with sectioned areas for various sized dogs to play. The Village apartments also has a much smaller dog park in the area.

I go to the very new dog park here - in the summer, its pretty hot so people usually come when the sun goes down since the trees are still small. Fall and Winter, you will find more dogs during the daytime.

Great Park! Everything from the tennis courts to the baseball courts are kept in amazing condition. I play tennis there every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and its rarely ever full. The people there are also very friendly and cool.

A very nice park that draws a good crowd in all areas of the park, but its never too crowded that it would deter me from going. There are 4 tennis courts, they are in good enough shape. However, there are always tons of big fat flying bugs on these courts. I often have to shake dead bugs off my racquet as they make contact when I am playing. Overall, very nice park that has a little of everything.
