Honestly I ve loved Chiloso since they came to Rowlett, but today I went in and they have added grilled vegetables to their meats. They have never done this before and when I asked if they had some without the vegetables they said no. Unfortunately I won t be back. I know this seams trivial but when you go to a restaurant where it s build your own I would expect I can put those on if I want them.

I ve never been to Chiloso but if every location provides a service like Cristal s, then I ll always go to Chiloso. As someone that struggles with social anxiety, I hate asking for anything, but Cristal had no problem remaking my meal after changing my mind. She provided a professional yet familiar feeling type of service that should be the standard everywhere. Thank you Cristal!

Placed an order online, which took forever cause you need to create an actual account. We had people from out of town who wanted Tex mex so we took a chance. When we went to pick up our food they said the sopapillas would take a few more minutes, after 20 minutes a girl came to say they were still thawing (what?) anyways we got home, my rice was so burnt I could smell it as soon as I opened the container, I had a few bites, got 2 huge pieces of onion, couldn t eat it cause everything had that burnt rice taste. My dog seemed to enjoy it though. I tried a sopapilla and it was RAW, after waiting over 30 extra minutes for them . Would never go there again.

Stop before you go here!! Me and my family went in this location for dinner we order a large meal the services was so unpleasant The workers were very disordered. There was a lot of people coming into this business to order, but they seem to rush us out of the line and one of the general managers name. Lydia was very rude and very unprofessional when you pay for a large amount of food for your family you would want good service and a good atmosphere It was very uncomfortable and I also had to get the refund back on the tilapia fish the taco was hard and presentation was very poor. I highly recommend another location to check out this location is very unfriendly they re all about making money they give you a small portion of food for high price meal the nachos gets soggy very quick and they loaded up without even paying instructions when I told them that I wanted the sauce on the side everything pretty much on the side they rushed our food out, and it was just very displeasing!

Ive had good experiences dining in at this location, but the delivery service has consistently been disappointing. Every time I order delivery, something is either missing or incorrect. They always forget my drink. This time, they forgot my drink and gave me refried beans instead of black beans. Its clear they need to prioritize mobile and delivery orders more. Additionally, the excessive amount of white rice in my burrito was frustrating. If I wanted a rice burrito, I would make one at home. I hope that by calling each time to remind them about these issue

Super delicious! We loved our food, the excellent service, and the amount of food (at least ours) for the price, did not disappoint. I got a steak burrito, same as my youngest daughter, and my other daughter got the steak and chicken bowl. The queso dip was delicious, too. I will visit again soon!

Very expensive 25.00 with drink, if add queso or guacamole about 25.00 for one person if you get steak their premium bowl or burrito. I got some chips the bag soaks up oil when I set it on the table when I arrived home the next days on. Parking: You have to walk from the parking lot.

We ordered THROUGH THE CHILOSO WEBSITE yesterday and after the two hour wait, found out the food was made two hours prior. They didn t remake the food (knowing it had been sitting for two hours) and when calling the restaurant the unnamed manager said I don t know what to tell you. I do not recommend the fajita nacho quesadilla party pack as it is because it definitely doesnt come as advertised. Barely Any cheese, barely any beans, and the quesadillas instead of being the flour tortilla quesadillas youd expect from a restaurant looked more like something my son made in a microwave with leftover corn tortillas. They had 3x more Chillis than they had cheese and they were greasy and fell apart when you picked them up. The only good thing was all the meat in the middle, but that was hard to eat on chips with no beans or cheese. Paid $75 to get something barely edible. I only wish Id grabbed a picture before people started trying their best to eat it.

We had a late lunch. Ordered the Tuesday Special. Its like a premium Chipotle. Premium meaning you have to order up front off of a sign board behind the staff. The music was blasting too loud so I asked if they could turn it down, to which I received only a shrug. I was shocked at the price for two Sour Cream Enchilada plates, serve-yourself water, & iced tea. $31 bucks! The food was a definitely large portion; we ate our leftovers for dinner. The enchiladas were good overall, but they were the hottest ive ever had in my life. I think there were diced jalapeños in the sour cream sauce. We were the only patrons there at about 2pm. I would say go to a Rosas or equal for similar & cheaper experience.

We were invited to my Nieces Birthday gathering. It was my first time trying this place. I ordered the Tamales with 2 fried eggs on top and it was good. The tamales were good and spicy and the eggs gave it extra flavor. I also had their kid barbacoa nachos, made my way and those were good too. The chicken tacos were also good. Atmosphere was nice and clean, very casual. The young lady serving us our order was very nice and patient. I will go back.

Coughing heavily and sniffling while serving several people even behind me in line. All of this while he is handling my food with NO gloves but the first employee handling the food is wearing gloves. Great place to go for a taco, burrito, nachos, or taco salad. They offer a great selection of styles of tacos: tex mex, street style, soft or crispy, corn or flour tortilla. This afternoon I had the chance to try out Chiloso Mexican Bistro, and I must say, it was quite an interesting experience! Living just a couple of minutes away, I had never been to this place before, so I was excited to give it a shot. As I walked into the restaurant, I couldnt help but feel a bit confused about where to go for service. Silly me, I accidentally used the wrong door opposite to the customer service area. But hey, I quickly realized I wasnt the only one! There were other couples ahead of me who seemed just as bewildered. It would definitely be helpful to have someone directing customers to their tables or the ordering area. Now, lets talk about the food. I have to admit, it was delicious! However, I couldnt help but notice that the prices were a bit on the expensive side. I mean, do we really need to pay $20-$30 for a simple lettuce, chicken, paper, and tomato combo? Nevertheless, the place itself was clean and well-maintained, probably because its a brand new building. Despite the confusion and the slightly steep prices, I genuinely enjoyed my meal and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. In fact, I was so impressed that I even invited a friend to join me there. So, if youre looking for a new spot to try out, I encourage you to give Chiloso Mexican Bistro a chance. Who knows, you might just love it! I ve tried giving this location several tries esp when ordering to go because it s convenient, but EVERY TIME I place an order they mess it up somehow! My first time trying Chiloso s Grill Avocado meal was the Frisco location and I fell in love with everything on my plate. Wtbs I was excited to find out that 5 mins from my home in Rowlett there was another location. I came tonight about 8pm only to be so disappointed. The staff was great but the Grilled Avocado was kind of cold, the steak also was not hot like it was freshly made. The beans and rice tasted old. Luckily I got some queso because that was the only thing I didnt waste my money on. Super disappointed in the food!

Trust the 2.5 stars(on yelp). The people that like this place have never had real Mexican food before and think black pepper is spicy. Incompetent employees. Food looks like slop for pigs. Expensive for no reason. I told the employee, I have gestational diabetes, (not controlled with insulin so its important I eat right) so I cannot have rice or flour tortillas it has to be corn. Rice and beans come with the taco. I asked for my rice on the side instead, thats an extra cost to have it on the side instead of in my taco . $5 for one taco. When I took a bite of the taco, it was of course a flour tortilla instead of corn like I asked.

The food is okay. It does lack seasoning especially for the chicken and the salsa is nearly tasteless but the food overall is decent. I have eaten there plenty of times and its okay. I think the bar is probably the best part of the place. Staff isnt too friendly or unkind, just not an energetic place with service. Went to this location this morning- I get there, and the bacon is flimsy and not well done like usual, and the eggs were all liquidy.... This location is a hit or miss. Very inconsistent with their food and service. May need to take a break from this location for a while. Chiloso used to be awesome all the time, but it has gone downhill. Not to mention the prices have gone up so much. I shouldnt have to pay $4.65 for a taco that has practically liquid in it. Chiloso needs to get their act together or else people are going to stop coming.

I wish I could give zero stars but one will do. I ordered a burrito with pork which is a regular meat and I asked for double meat assuming I would get the $3 up charge for extra meat like it says on the menu. Nope. I got charged $6 for double meat even though it s not displayed on the menu. And when I asked the manager why my burrito was $19 she said it s because I got double meat. So fair warning if you want more meat make sure you know the difference between extra meat and double meat because it s not in the menu. Manager didn t even care that it wasn t on the menu and acted like it was my fault for not knowing. IF IT WAS ON THE MENU I WOULDVE KNOWN!

My children and I frequent this location! I am Baby Spice when it comes to heat level, but I have found the perfect combination of ingredients to still satisfy my palate as well as not overwhelm me with heat. The customer service is mostly A+ and the location is clean! I always build my nachos! It s very filling. If you re baby spice like me try this: Chips, your meat choice, white rice, your bean choice, queso (on the side), regular cheese, lettuce, tomato, cilantro, sour cream and lime juice. The burrito they gave me was half the size it usually is. Maria who states she is the manager laughed at me when I told her how small it is and stated they don t make burritos this small. She put me on hold then came back after 5 minutes and said chiloso how may I help you she finally offered a half refund because I didn t order enough on my burrito to fill it. (I order the same thing every time) We love their food so we ve never commented on the service in the past, there have been multiple times of poor service, but this time was awful. She eventually stated she would refund the burrito but it was a long argument with her and I strongly recommend everyone go to the rockwall location instead of this one. *edit* never received the refund, Very very disappointed in the service from this location. We love Chiloso and eat here regularly. However, I will say that this is the most inconsistent restaurant that I have ever experienced. From one day to the next, the spice levels and salt levels range from 0 to 10 with no rhyme or reason. So, sometimes the food is so spicy you cant eat it and sometimes it seems they forgot to spice it at all. Same with the salt. You never know what youre going to get. But, it seems that this is widely known and people still love it.

We had to ask for help, we had never been there. The lady running the place was very sweet and patient. Thank you to the hospital personal that suggested we try the place, she said they order many deliveries from there. I had grilled avacado . Very good!

This location only Had not been to Chiloso s since before pandemic. First train wreck was the menu change. This place was a staple for simplicity - now the menu reads like an instruction manual - the worst being no original three taco pack. The Junior employee not very helpful or understanding over the perplexity in my adjusting to a plethora of offerings. After the employees second eye-roll, I was done. Thankfully - the manager was a bit more pleasing.

One of the poorer Chilosos Ive been to. They consistently mess up online orders, employees are generally unhappy to serve you, and the manager is extremely uncaring about your satisfaction as a customer. Love the food, but I find myself avoiding this particular location. Not a pleasant experience usually.

I love their bfast tacos but their prices are finally driving me away. Paid $26.52 for 4 tacos with a little bit of guacamole, with no drinks, and $18.67 for a nacho with no guacamole, was told it would be an extra $3 for guacamole. Almost $22 for nachos, thats whack!! I see alot of complaints about the staff and Im sure they hear complaints all day about the prices and are tired. Id suggest everyone to vote with your feet and pocketbook and stop going here. Greedy owners!

My experience was rude to say the least. First off, I asked for extra steak on my bowl, and the young employee with the curtly blonde ponytails said, It will be extra., and I said, I think I can swing it. Jokingly... Then the little Hispanic lady with the strong accent rudely said, This is going to cost more. In a very rude manner. And I said, I just told your coworker that I can swing it. And it was taken very pleasantly. But she she seemingly wanted to continue being rude and condescending, as if I couldnt pay for the food that i CLEARLY ORDERED. Sooooo, she proceeded to charge me $72 for two bowels, a Dr Pepper, and two Margaritas.... RUN FROM THIS PLACE. THE RUDENESS IS INSANE!!!

The salmon was on point. The white rice always taste cold. I think its because they keep it in a pan and dont stir it. The kids that work there always have their pants sagging. I had stopped going there until they changed staff. I may need to take that approach again.

Chiloso in Rowlett,TX CONSISTENTLY has the VERY WORST customer service. At peak times they have a group of young men who are more interested in joking around than being attentive to the customer. If you complain to any manager on duty, its not worth your breathe. I have visited several times hoping for a different experience only to be more and more disappointed. So from now on, I have to go to Wylie or Richardson. Dont get me started on the grill service. SMH.

Girl in the line was very rude. Threw my food in the bag which made the salsa bust open all inside of the bag. She asked if I wanted a drink I said yea and grabbed my drink and no lids were fitting so I asked her are there lids that fit this cup? She said if you would ve waited for me to hand you the cup you would ve realized that so next time wait. If you can t simply be a nice human you shouldn t work in customer service. Stay home next time. (: other than that, food was good.
