Awesome food and great service and very clean, one if my favorite restaurants. This is the only place that I know of the has Chow Ho Fun (fat wide noodles) as well as Chow Man Fun. Update 2024: Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this place, not because of the food thats still the same but the service is now terrible. They hired a counter girl and for some reason she has been really rude to me. I brought it to the attention of the owners son and it actually got worse. The last time I went in there I was waiting for my food while I was checking my phone and when she brought my food out she sneered at me and says you shouldnt laugh at people who prepare your food I tried to explain that I was laughing at something I saw on my phone but she wouldnt have it. Not sure what kind of mental disorder she has but I will not go back to a restaurant that threatened to mess with my food!!

This Chinese restaurant is best Chinese restaurant in a 50-mile radius, GUARANTEED!! The food is made hot and fresh and is extremely flavorful! The orange chicken is fried but still so tender and juicy!! Not an overbattered mess like most places. Plus, the fried rice is not old and dry. It s made fresh! This will be our go-to Chinese spot moving forward. Highly recommend!

It s so good! Salt & pepper tofu was my favorite. Crispy beef as sweet, salt, and just right amount of spicy. Outside was crispy yet tender inside that I didn t have to bite and yank on fork. General Tso chicken tasted similar to other places, but their chicken meat seems higher quality. Two days later and I still don t find any off putting flavor from the meat. Also there were no undercooked breading. Salt & pepper tofu was phenomenal. The aromas of crisped garlic and chilis wafting off this dish was putting my hands into motion for the chopsticks. Light coating of crispiness on outside, super tender upon biting in. Ate it with a sprinkling of the garlic and chilis every spoonful. I was on cloud nine. Rice was underwhelming compared to what I have at home, but I pay premium for good grains, and we can t really compare takeout to home rice. Then coke machine does not seem to make ice but they have a separate machine in the back. Shrimp lo mein smelled of wok hei ( ), so I knew Chefs had skill. Great texture on the noodles. Good amount of veggies with it. Kid loved it. Staff was nice. Feels like a mom & pop + hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Would come back again.

THE BEST Asian food Ive had in years! This food is made with years of experience and lots of love. BEST hot & sour soup Ive ever tasted. Loved the Singapore rice noodles with chicken. The crab rangoons were delicious. The Mongolian beef was so tender and flavorful. Shiny Wok is my new go to for delicious, hot, fresh Asian food. The only disappointment is that I didnt know about Shiny Wok sooner! Try Shiny Wok and I guarantee you will never want to go anywhere else.

The food is ok, but either their AC is not working or they are trying to save money. They have a fan oscillating, but it s only blowing hot air and it s covered in dust. I couldn t even finish my food because I was sitting in front of the fan and continuing to sweat more and more. When it s 110° outside, they need to shut their business down until they fix their air conditioner. After about 10-15 minutes my phone screen automatically dimmed because even it was getting overheated! Horrible lunch experience.

I love this cozy little restaurant because the service is amazing and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. But the star of this place is the food. Horrible HORRIBLE service I make it a point to only leave good reviews at the places I love and just let the ones I don t like go HOWEVER, my family was treated so poorly at this establishment. There was a misunderstanding with the order my husband placed and as soon as it was placed on the table we brought it to their attention. Sesame chicken was ordered but for whatever reason the worker heard sweet and sour chicken. No big deal at all. But then they continued to argue with my husband, insisting that he said sweet and sour I heard him place the order so I know what he said but it wasn t the misunderstanding that I am upset about. It was the atrocious attitude and unwillingness to simply correct the mistake. There is no reason we should have even had a back and forth. The man was rude and disrespectful. I guess that s what we get for not just going to our regular spot at Hunan in Rockwall we re always treated like family there!

The BEST asian food in Rowlett. The husband and I have been loving it since moving here 4 years ago. Everything has so much flavor, prices are great, portions are generous and love that they deliver. The downside is my dad and I didn t get our food at the same time but he takes his time eating anyways. We still enjoyed it. Everything was home made, even the egg rolls which you don t see. This restaurant continually disappoints. Over half the time you cant call cause the phone lines dont work. If you go up here and place an order you deal with people with poor customer service. Theyll let you sit there for over half an hour before you finally get up to ask about your food only to find out that it was ready and they couldnt be bothered to bring it to you. I cannot recommend this sort of restaurant as a good place to dine or get take out.

It looks like a very small hole in the wall kind of location. But looks can be deceiving. Size of the shop is not related to the size of taste of the food they serve. The pork chops with Peking Sauce was exquisite. The portion size was large, so you get your moneys worth. The side of Korean BBQ ribs were delicious and flavorful as well. The lemon chicken was sweeter than I imagined. The glaze sauce was a perfect match. Again the portion size was large and worth the price. This was my first of what Im sure to be many visits yet to come. Remember that you will probably have leftovers.

When we are on George Bush coming back from our daughters we will pop in to pick up some take out to take home. The menu is good, a little above average variety. Staff is friendly and efficient. Service is fast. Prices are moderate. Food is fresh and quality is great. We usually get the General Tsos chicken- good choice and Happy family- if you like a lot of meat variety but we decided it was too much. We need to try something different. The one thing we are not impressed with are the egg rolls. Just your generic deep fried mass produced version. Hard to find a great one. We will keep patronizing them because the quality is consistent and portions are huge.

They have increased their menu price significantly. Not only that, they over charged me $5 extra. And I am a very regular customer. Their rice was under cook and the dish wasn t spicy, I asked for spicy. Also there was no salt Regular customers know this place just went to crappers.

Usually when I get food from this place it is awesome but the last 2 times ( today makes 2) I ordered the Wong Tong soup the noodles are so overcooked and mushy they just disintegrate in the broth. Im not sure if theres a new cook or new recipe but it is not good at all.

I ordered shrimp fried rice and I know the shrimp is suppose to be pink when done. So why when I get home and open my bag, the shrimp is grayish looking?! Then my sweet tea was no where near sweet! Food is great but they only allow pick up orders due to COVID. Texas is open to 75% capacity and will be 100% starting next week. We supported this restaurant during times of the pandemic and its a shame they feel they get enough business with takeout orders to eliminate indoor dining entirely.

Some entrees are very good, some are not. We like the combination Lo Mein, but recently ordered the General Tsos (Tsao on the menu) Chicken...not good at all. Coating soggy and lacked flavor. Like the Jalapeno Chicken and Moo Goo Gai Pan.

Just finished my meal, and let me tell you...BEST Sesame Chicken I have EVER had. The taste, the crunch of the chicken, and how juicy/moist the chicken was on the inside...just perfection. Sesame chicken has been my go-to for years at Chinese restaurants, and Shiny Wok absolutely killed it. I will DEFINITELY be a repeat customer. Side Note: The Egg Rolls? Absolutely delicious as well. Theres a slight hint of sweetness inside when you bite in and just... Side Side Note: HUGE portions 10/10 would recommend. Cant wait to try some other items on their menu as well.

there was a tiny piece of broken glass in my take out only about 3mm in diameter, but when i bit down on it, it managed to crack my molar in half. i am in pain, and now i am scrambling to make a dentist appointment. everything is booked for months because of covid19 slowing everything down. theres no way i could sue for this because the food was delivered by ubereats, so dont worry about that. even if i could, im sure it would be a waste of everyones time involved. i just think you should address this issue, and make sure it doesnt happen to any future customers. up your kitchen standards. i have been in the restaurant business for eight years. no one has ever received a foreign object in their food.

Very good! Wow, I am picky when it comes to Chinese food and this place is very good. More of a to go place but the food is outstanding. My wife and I ate there and the service was impressive for a to go place. We will definitely be going back again! The 007 pepper steak dish is what I had and I really enjoyed it. The cashier recommended the 007. Great job guys.

Very nice place, small interior that makes it feel homey l, great staff. Decor is a little out dated but the food came fast and was very good, Food was fresh and fast and they were more than happy to take chicken off my rice, their selection of boba tea is a good size and my mango green tea boba was the best Ive ever had.
