Heads Up. CASH ONLY! Really? This day and age? Service was great. Portions were great but if the food was like it use to be, we would have walked out with 2 days of leftovers. The biscuits, if you don t mind eating a 4 high, very dense biscuit, I don t recommend. No exaggeration when I say it weighed 1/4 lb. Gravy, better than some but definitely not better than most. Make sure you tell the wait staff EXACTLY how you want your eggs. And don t bother with the fried green tomatoes unless you like 1/4 thick bread and no flavor. Overall, it was just very disappointing. I remember the good ole days. That s what my mouth was watering for

We used to like this place. Maybe today was an off day but probably wont be coming back. Found hair in my food, server showed up once for a drink refill and check on us, I was finally able to ask for syrup for my kids food after others had already finished their meal. Prices went up but when I go for a lunch special and its $15 bucks not including two teas and spend $45 bucks with tip food it mediocre at best and does not make sense. I can go to Olive Garden somewhere like that for that money especially during a lunch special. I dont feel ripped off many times but my last visit exactly how it seemed.

Staff was very young therefore not that knowledgeable but very nice! The food didnt have alot of seasoning. Most seemed frozen and refried. Was very excited about the homemade pies but the buttercream pie didnt taste like much. The restaurant is cute, and seemed popular but would probably try to return for breakfast instead of lunch.

We tried this place on a recommendation from some friends. We arrived and were greeted and seated right away. Our server came and got drink order. Upon our servers return with our drinks, the server then got our food order. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and my partner ordered the Belgium Waffle with eggs and bacon and a side of sausage. The Chicken Fried Steak was cook perfectly and the white gravy was very delicious, ordered a side of brown gravy which was also very delicious, the eggs were cooked to perfection and the hashbrowns were very crispy. The Belgium Waffle was cooked perfectly and very delicious as were the eggs, bacon and sausage. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. This is a great place for breakfast or lunch. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Cannot wait to return.

I had the worse experience...i wouldnt recommend this spot....i ordered a turkey sanchwich they forgot my side of fries. When I got my side of fries they were burnt as hell. I had to go to the counter to get a refill....i get to the cash register the menu said 11.00 they end up charging me 18 dollars....this place weak....1st and last time

We have lived in Rowlett for 18+ years and have never been here before & honestly I understand why. The food was cold and tasteless. The best thing we ate was the bacon even though it was cold. The services was subpar. They swamped waitress unannounced. I honestly should ve just ate breakfast at home. My French toast was yellow, good French toast should never be yellow. It s cheap food but not worth it.

This is a good old school Diner that has a solid cup of coffee and substantial portions on their breakfast offerings. Everything here is good but not great. It is very well put together and as I mentioned the portions are substantial. The service is decent but I had to continually ask for refills on coffee. If youre looking for a good old school diner with no frills this is a solid choice.

It was my first time in and I was sadly disappointed. I was expecting more from them just because the reviews and how many people were in there. They messed up my order twice. Awesome chicken fried chicken. Excellent breading, good flavor and thickness, perfectly crisp and not hard. Had some chili fries as an appetizer which was pretty great. Chili feels like it s from a can, but the fries are fantastic. Would order again and highly recommend fries as you me side. Next time ask for onions and sour cream. They have a bunch of fresh made pies that look pretty awesome. Just wish I had saved some room. We will be back.

We ve come here for years but sadly we won t be returning. My daughters food arrived with a giant black hair hanging out from under the eggs. They replaced it quickly. I couldn t help but notice the piece of ham was the same. Then after my tea ran dry, the rest of my meal was to be eaten with no drink. So I sat there listening to the two old guys on at the bar flirt with Joslyn, our waitress, as she told them about her upcoming career path in healthcare. As we were ready to leave we asked for to-go drinks. 3 breakfasts cost over $52. We still have her a nice tip but breakfast at Hubbards was a regret. Never again.

Very disappointed for being our first time. The hostess was very friendly in seating us. As for the rest I can not say much just disappointed food was cold, took 3 times to ask the waiter to bring us coffee and my cold toast. While the staff is friendly, the restaurant flooded with natural light, and the walls covered in cute kitsch to enjoy, I cannot understand why this place is popular. The stench of dirty water splashed around a bathroom wont leave your nostrils while youre there. Ironically, the bathroom smells great. The real shocker is the food. The food at Hubbards is the most tasteless thing Ive eaten in years. Everything tasted like water, like absolute nothingness, but low-quality nothingness. The only thing I tasted at all was a hint of greasy grill and undercooked egg in my French toast (which is surprising, since my eggs didnt taste like ANYTHING). Yall nice folks, but your food is straight offensively bad. Its a pity that this is a nonsmoking establishment because clearly the people who frequent this joint are heavy chains makers. No one else could tolerate the stink in the air or the lack of flavor in the food.

This place is a great unknown breakfast spot around town. I came here on Sunday with my sister, brother in law, and her kids. We walked in a were immediately seated which was great because we were hungry. We were sat at a booth and already our waiter was taking our drink orders. While we were waiting for our drinks we got to look around at the ambience around us. Cute old timey posters, knick nacks, and there was even a plane! Then our food order was placed and we waited maybe 10 min? Food came out hot and everything was delicious. I got the chicken and waffles while everyone else got the breakfast sandwich. Everything tasted amazing and you can tell it was made with love. Our waiter the entire time was fantastic too. Always checking on us, refilling our drinks, and she even gave us some drinks to go. Highly recommend this place for everyone!

My favorite breakfast spot but today was a big miss. Waitress never smiled and never checked on us. I haven t seen this waitress before so hopefully she is either training or she leaves for a job where she doesn t need to interact with customers. It s honestly the first bad experience I ve had at Hubbard s so I will go back. I hope management works more closely with employees and teaches to seat customers (and stop personal conversations behind the bar), check on coffee and tea regularly (especially when the place is mostly empty), bring honey when it has been requested (twice) and either make eye contact or fake a smile when your customer pays for their meal.

If you like cold food, poor service and dirty windows then this is your place. Had to hunt down silverware, then butter, then ask for coffee refills. They forgot 1 meal and said they could cook up quickly, returned. 2 minutes later with the cold breakfast. 1 out of 4 had hot eggs. Bacon was over cooked and not chewable. Asked for silverware as we were short 1 set and they looked at us like we had grown horns on our bed. We were seated by the front glass which was filthy with smeared food and hand prints. This was approx 9:30 am on a Thursday when they were not busy. Maybe they were not busy because there s discovered the Lousy food before did.

The breakfast here is the best restaurant breakfast food I have ever had. I ordered Jims favorite, which has excellent gravy meat and eggs over huge fluffy delicious biscuits. My wife had an omlette, and my friend had migas. All massive portions for the price. Cannot say enough good stuff about the food here.

I watched an old man get charged twice in front of me and when my bill came up for me to pay it was Almost $12 but when she rang it up she said I owed $22., Watch out for getting ripped off here, I also had to wait almost twenty minutes to get waited on., While like six waitresses were sitting around talking

Every time Ive eaten here, Im stunned by the terrible service. Every waitress (and theyre all young women) is completely untrained and dont know how to manage tables. They seem to have been hired with the same qualifications as a Hooters. The vast majority of the time, they respond to the needs of whatever table they stop at and only that table. They take the order of the guests, run on over to the kitchen, and wait at the window for the food. You can sit at your table and watch them go pick up a coffee pot for refills, fill one cup, and then put the pot back and walk away. I was there for 45 minutes and never got a coffee or water refill. The cherry on top is that I asked for a peach pie slice to go, the waitress walked over to the case and put a slice of pie in a container, and handed me the container *with a ticket for a slice of peach pie on top*. I got home after they had closed to discover that it was in fact a slice of banana cream pie. Do not go to this diner if you want good food fast with adequate service. Go to Goldmine for better food, service, and variety.

We were in the area picking up a car top, and Hubbards was recommended by the guy we picked it up from. The food and service was great. If we lived there in would be on our lunch rotation for sure.

This was my first time at this location. I love the atmosphere here, but... All of my food was cold (waffle, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy). The waitress handled my complaints well and brought me fresh(er) food. Ill give them another try.

Jims favorite is disgusting the sausage was burned the gravy was disgusting and the biscuits were horrible. That particular item should be removed from the menu. Also who waters down hot sauce in a bottle? I believe this was my last visit. My cornbread and potatoes with gravy were quite delicious. The staff is fantastic. My chicken fried chicken was unappetizing. Hubbard s is not open for dinner.
