One of our favorites for affordable sushi! I do wish they had some slightly more kid friendly options when we are visiting with friends or family who have picky eaters. But overall, the food is always great. Miso soup is and was on point! The soda here isnt the best so we usually stick with water or iced tea.

First time eating at Sushi Nini. I got take out. It was amazing!!! We ordered the Spicy Tuna, Blue Midnight, Red Devil, and Hot Rock and they were each delicious. They came with chopsticks (thanks goodness because I forgot to ask), soy sauce packets, and ginger. The pictures are dark because we are watching movies but presentation was great as well as flavor. Will definitely be back. Oh yeah. Made the order online earlier in the day.

When I gave the original review 6 years ago we were living in the Pflugerville and my wife and I frequented this place at least once a week. Fast forward to 2024 and I had to go back to Austin for a business trip so I had to come back. Food is just as good as I remembered it, service was great, and drinks were nice and cold. Lunch specials were excellent as well as the bento box was super filling. % recommend this place

Decent spot for sushi set in a sports bar environment. The staff were very friendly, and sushi was pretty good. The chicken yakitori was cooked to perfection, and all the prices reasonable. I was a little disappointed in the portion size of the matcha cheesecake, but still enjoyed it. All in all not a bad place, if you don t mind the loud and cliche sports bar environment.

Even at opening, the place was already a 3rd full. Service was fantastic, constantly someone checking in and cleaning up plates that were no longer needed. This is very much a sports bar vibe. The crowd was a mix of all female parties and younger and older couples. We started with the mount fuji. If you arent getting sushi, starting with that satisfies your craving and ask for seaweed on the side so you can do a wrap. Its a great portion for two and a beautiful presentation with spicy crab, spicy tuna, and crab mix. We got the vegetable tempura, which be mindful that tempura does come in a lot of the entrees as a side so try a different app if youre going to get a bento. The veggies were asparagus, onion, sweet potato, and zucchini. It was very fresh, large and great sauce. For an entree, we got Chicken Teriyaki Don, which is grilled dark meat chicken on rice with combo tempura. The chicken was so good, juicy, huge portion and sauce, sooo good! We did try the spider hand roll, basically the sushi as taco..loved it! Then, we got fruit roll up for something different..the texture got me on this one, but it was unique and tasted good..mango, strawberry, avocado, and spicy tuna. Then, we got the Red Devil roll and Volcano roll. The Volcano roll has heat! Both were good and great size rolls. For the price, I was so surprised on the freshness. A great place to go for date, quick bite or something causal.

Food is always good. I usually get to go orders. I chose to dine in yesterday. The host, servers, bartenders and sushi chefs Like, no one was smiling. Dead face. At least pretend to like to work there? My server was nice but I think she had too many tables? I was sat down for a while before I saw her and when she did greet me it felt so rushed. Took awhile to get a cup of water. Sections were probably unfairly planned out. However, she was the only server I saw smile. The bartender walks around with a stone cold face. I don t know if that s the planned experience of eating in. Or if management notices or cares. I ll definitely keep getting food to go. It s just odd vibes dinning in.

Great place to enjoy sushi and watch some sports. Better grade sushi than many other places, which makes the cost perfect. A bar is available for cold drinks. Nini also has a great lunch special. Staff is extremely polite and good at offering suggestions. The menu is extremely plentiful! Come check it out! I have been coming for years. The best part about Sushi NiNi is the freshness of the fish. That s more than enough reason to come here. This isn t H E B pre frozen sushi, this is real deal quality melt in your mouth non fishy tasting or smelling sashimi. Salmon is king. As to non-sashimi items, I m positive I ve ordered the red devil for every time I have came here. Fantastic roll. Do not ever forget about the noodle dishes either !!! One of the best hole-in-the-wall sushi places. Fun to take a group or sit at the bar. I usually get two salmon hand rolls and add avocado. They also have good salmon roe and sake on tap. It s not the highest end, but I still eat here weekly. On a budget or for a casual option it s my go to!

I m not sure why I ve never reviewed this lovely place but here I am! We are sushi Nini lovers, fans, die hards if you will. It s the only place in Austin/Round Rock we come back to consistently and we live downtown so it s not that close but always worth the trip! The nigiris are so fresh and delicious. You can t go wrong with any of their flavourful rolls either! I keep saying we need to make a copy and mark which rolls we ve tried because we never remember there are so many! Service is always friendly and great casual atmosphere with lots of TVs. The price point is great, somewhere in between trash takeout sushi and snobby omakase. It s a steal for the quality, honestly. I recently visited a sushi place that left quite an impression on me. It had a really cool vibe, almost like a fusion between a sports bar and a sushi restaurant. My order is always consistently made with no surprises and trying new things on the menu is always fun, too. The restaurant can be loud and is busy. I havent been able to find a better Bento Box in the Central Texas area. Has everything you would want...Tempura fresh & crisp served with a mild dipping sauce, large entree portion perfectly prepared, avocado/cucumber rolls that are cool, creamy & crunchy...a delight for all the senses. The wait staff is always considerate & attentive. My only negative is I dont like TVs or EDM playing in a restaurant, but so many people do. Regardless, the food is worth it.

We have been coming here for over 10 years. Absolutely love the staff and the owners are wonderful! Our fave roll is the Tuna Dynaaty, but we make it into a Salmon Dynasty and OMG! It is soooo good!! Everything we tried was amazing! The bento box was enough for us two to share! We especially loved the chicken katsu and jalapeno cream cheese roll. Everything was beautifully plated too!

One of my favorite sushi places. Always good and quick service and the sushi is delicious. I love the fiesta roll, Texas roll, and magnificent roll. But to be honest I don t think you can go wrong with any of them. The unagi don was delicious as well. Highly recommend.
