I ve been to Skinny Bobs a few times while in town for the Texas Open. Even though I m not from the area, my background in several pool halls, including working in one, inspired me to share my thoughts in a review. The staff at this location is exceptional. During such a significant event, they demonstrated remarkable teamwork and ensured that every customer received efficient service. It s rare to encounter a team as outstanding as yours. Kudos to Pat, Lindsey, Adam, and Shayla, among others they were fantastic! It s important to recognize that the presence of such great staff is often a reflection of strong leadership. Shayla truly stood out; she remained with her team throughout the event and stepped in to help whenever necessary. She definitely deserves some props for her dedication! The food was a little on the pricey side for us, and we wished there were more options beyond just fried foods, but it wasn t bad at all! After a few days, though, you start to run out of choices quickly. :)

You need to create an outside smoking area. Everything stinks in the place. Great tables and good staff. Why keep the smoking? It will drive more people away then bring. Not good business sense or common sense. Its gross and makes the place seem dingy. Kid-friendliness: It cant be kid friendly. Who would bring a child in there to breathe that smoke?

Smoke is terrible and cigars next to us. Had fun playing pool but we had a small issue with the bill. Talked to the manager but she was very rude and condescending. Wife and I will not be returning.

Came here with a friend. This is a nice pool hall. It does allow smoking but it wasnt that bad. Great atmosphere and service. I like the tables and balls. Sticks are ok. Will come back to play.

I like it here. Great place to play. Im vegan so cant speak to most of the food but my date said the wings were meh. I loved my fries tho. Service is great and I always have a great time. Lots of tables.

I don t often leave reviews but I had an almost delightful experience at this bar until the end. Bartender announced no more drinks 30 min before closing. No last call warning just no drinks. Unideal but not a huge deal breaker. What made the experience poor is I asked for one more drink, and was denied. Would normally not be an issue since the announcement was made, but once I get to the bar a few min later to close my tab, the bar tender was serving a drink so what I would assume is a friend of hers. Very bad service for paying customers and first timers at the bar.

Skinny Bobs is an excellent venue for hanging out with some friends! They have fantastic chairs by the bar to hang out in, and the pool tables are top-of-the-line. There is a server walking around, so it is easy to order drinks and food to be brought to you while you are shooting some billiards. They do allow indoor smoking there, but have a very good air filtration system.

Excellent tables, best in the Austin area. They also hav e the toughest BCA league in the city. The room allows smoking, so keep that in mind. They also have tournaments most days.

I am an avid pool player to provide perspective of my review. This is a great pool hall! Tables = excellent, top notch. About half of their tables have a floor height change from one end of the table to another but it was easy to adjust. Service=ok, no waitress so you need to go to the bar and order each time (it was a Sunday). Bartender is great! Atmosphere= Smokey, if you are not a smoker expect to deal with smoke affecting you, your clothes will smell like an ashtray after you leave. They say they have smoke eaters/filters but they dont really work that well as you can see the smoke hanging in the air. I didnt get to try the food but will be back in the future for sure.

The best service I ve ever had from a bartender probably ever. Seriously I ve never had a bartender (Lupe) go so far to keep it good. I was trying to watch the Astros game and unfortunately the one day it s not on direct TV (peacock instead) they didn t have it on. Well the bartender went above and beyond. Fortunately enough they had a tablet that could download the app. Mr.Lupe took the time to download the app then find the stream for me. (Im the only one asking for the game too btw and I barely asked, once I found out it wasn t on direct tv I told them not to worry about it well Lupe still did it anyways!) cannot appreciate this bar enough, feels like home over here!

The atmosphere here is great! Everyone treats everyone with respect and kindness. They have so many tables to play on and a clean, convenient bar for drinks. They also have tournaments you can play in as well. So far Ive been there every weekend. If you are looking for a pool hall in the area I would definitely recommend this place!

Great place for pool at reasonable prices. Pretty good food too. Lots of well-kept 9 foot diamond tables and two billiards tables. My biggest complaint is its smoky. Second, the floor is uneven in some places. They also have well run tournaments Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Very upset with this place have been coming here of years for pool and to play games room games and asked for my number and lady would not service me because I did not have my ID but I am in file as already showing them my id. So it is what it is the. She proceeded to service or thr people and did not ask the next three people that came in for there is that is great customer service. I will not be coming back to this place do to the fact that being treated like trash after waiting 10 min to even be served or talked to. This is why our world is like it is because people judge someone before they know them. My money will be spent elsewhere no skin off my back. This is for the bartender working right now if you going to inforce the rules then do it for everyone.

Skinny Bobs is under new management and they just remodeled the place. It looks amazing! All brand new 9 foot Diamond tables! A lot of high rank players there! A great place for all players. Friendly staff & players! Its a must go for any billiard player. Update: been coming here for about a year now. Most awesomeness place!!! I joined BCA leauge here and has been fun ever since. The tables are always kept in immaculate shape! The waitstaff is awesome and nice! They have tournaments almost everyday with good money to be made. Not me, lol. Im apparently not good enough but, thats ok. I still get to play for just a small fee and I learn a lot! Best place in Austin area to play pool!

This is worst place I ve ever been too. Before even entering the bar we were stopped twice for ID checks and were kept waiting for a pool table that eventually never came. If you like pool, youll really appreciate Skinny Bobs. Everything - tables, sticks, racks, balls (even the cases that the balls come in), etc - are nice and well maintained. They clearly put a lot of thought/ effort into making it a nice place to shoot pool. The bar is also pretty cool, heavy, low set, dark wood counters with plush office chairs instead of bar stools. Its a cool place.

This is a pool players pool hall. The 9 ft tables are nice to play on and well kept. You have to watch your rolls, depending if you are by the poker tables (blasted A/C) or the emergency exit (heat seeping through). There is a separate room/entrance, where Diamond bar tables are housed. Smoking is permitted.

Avoid this pool hall at all costs! There are many other options for free pool so why go here and pay $$$? They have no kitchen so, they can offer no food & that s not great when they over serve! Proof of there over serving happened sadly to my mentally disabled husband & his pal JR Jueco who were BOTH arrested directly out front their front doors for public intoxication! however, In all honestly i can admit that was just over a year ago so maybe something has changed?!?! Maybe not!! here s a picture of a young man sitting all alone with no one even near him in possession of multiple open alcoholic beers I guess the owners don t REALLY care what happens in there bar & if the owner has an issue with what I have to say I d be happy to ALSO post a video of one man assaulting the other inside skinny bobs & no one was even asked to leave after! Very poor ownership but again that s just my opinion.
