The food was underwhelming. The chorizo stuffed pork loin would probably have been good if the sausage hadnt been completely RAW. The Nachittos were not good. The only decent food at our table was the chicken fried chicken; it was delicious. The sweet tea was also good. Probably wont go back.

The cocktail 1 had was great and the staff are friendly. The 13 spice chicken pasta was mediocre. Needed more salt, the raw jalapeños overpowered all the other flavors, chicken was tasty but cut to large. Im pretty sure I was tasting brown butter, which doesnt make much sense in this dish. All this would be fine at an olive garden but for $18, it was dissapointing.

Wow! That was incredible. Weve lived about a mile away for 4 years and weve eaten at Jack Allens a couple of times before, but somehow everything just clicked tonight. I want to go back regularly. Overall, food was what to be expected. The food that we had picked did not really stand out. Had hamburgers and the country fried steaks. The food is just ok if you just need to satisfy your hunger. The service was the best part. Very friendly and went above and beyond. Atmosphere is good, we did have to wait to be setted.

The spicy watermelon margarita was out of this world! The bar service was outstanding and the bartender was attentive and friendly. The manager served the complimentary pimiento cheese appetizer and was friendly. The Philly cheesesteak was good, but for my taste, I would not order it again. Me and my boyfriend celebrated our 2 year anniversary here. I have a severe airborne shellfish allergy and usually I avoid any places with shellfish. But the food and service here is just so worth it. Everyone who took care of us gave us the best night ever for our anniversary. I am beyond grateful for our server and the manager, we appreciate your dedication to keeping me safe. We will definitely be back! Dietary restrictions: They will work with you the best they can! We sat away from people, our serve washed their hands and changed gloves every time she touched something, and there are other food options available.

I recently moved to the area and had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic spot with a dear friend I hadnt seen in 16 years. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. They were attentive without being intrusive, checking in frequently to see if we needed anything. Even after closing time, they graciously let us enjoy our evening without rushing us out. My friend and I ate here for lunch. It was around 1 pm and not too busy. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. I asked specific questions about menu items, and he was able to answer them. I ordered the chicken nachitos, which were tasty, and it was a good portion size. My friend ordered the veggie tacos, and she said they were yummy and would order those again. This is a great place to take the family. Prices are reasonable, drinks are tasty, servers are helpful and friendly and they food is very good. We tried the pork chops that were seasonal for August and wow. I hope they make that a permanent addition. The salmon and tequila chicken were also great additions. The staff is excellent! Very friendly and accommodating. The food - WOW. The chicken tinga tacos should have a shrine built in their honor. And follow that up with the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie with Girl Scout cookies in the bottom crust. There are no words that do this dessert justice! Aug 2024 - pozole! Dang tasty! We had made a reservation for 9 people.to celebrate my sons 17th Birthday. This has been the tradition over the last several years. Once we arrived to the location in Round Rock, our table was not ready. Which was not a problem. We patiently waited. Ordered some drinks from the bar. The staff was very attentive to us reassuring that they were working on our table. The manager, Dan, even checked in with us. As we were finally seated we were sat a very nice table, Dan came over and did that guacamole and queso were coming to the table. Dan is a great manager and I couldnt be more thankful for his kind gesture. Also our server, Suzanne, was outstanding. We never had an empty glass, our food was served fast and as always, it was delicious. She was one of the best servers I have ever had. Thank you Jack Allens for going above and beyond. We will keep the tradition going..

I went in for the chicken fried Chicken but I asked the bartender what he would choose between that and the spiced chicken pasta. He recommended the chicken fried pork chop instead. On his recommendation I got the chicken fried pork chop and the spiced chicken pasta. The chicken fried pork chop was amazing with the gravy and the home made habanero hot sauce. We were in town for vacation wanted to try something we dont have at home. When I tell you this place is absolutely amazing I am not lying. The white was about 30 minutes which I can see why. We visited for an impromptu brunch. We were able to get a reservation easily by phoning ahead, seated, and visited by our waitress promptly. Nasia (spelling?)was super friendly! Food was good overall . Breakfast sandwich s were not, however, served on brioche as listed in the menu, and no one bothered to tell us. Our first visit to Jack Allens Kitchen in Round Rock was amazing!! Our server, Austin, was personable, knowledgeable and made our visit enjoyable! The food was fresh and delicious! We had the pimento cheese (starter), fried shrimp, chicken fried steak, chicken fried pork chops and the flourless chocolate tort (dessert). Well definitely visit again when were in the Round Rock area!! (To be noted, we had an unfortunate situation with the hostess desk but the manager, Kendall, tried her best to make things right. I had a great hamburger at Jack Allen s in Round Rock. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just as I ordered. I met up with an old friend from high school that I hadn t seen in 40+ years. The server was attentive but also left us alone as needed for all our catch up conversation. We tied up his table for almost three hours but he never pressured us to leave. I had Chicken noodle soup in Memorial Day that was delicious with a different tomato based broth and shell type noodles versus the traditional poultry broth. Because I was recovering from an illness and had a restricted diet, I came back later in the week to get more and was given some other version that I was disappointed with! Hats off to the Memorial Day Chef!!!

Had a flat tire on the way and was going to be late for my reservation. Called and they accommodated our later arrival time. Loved the fried salmon dish, which was one of the specials that night and it should be on their permanent menu because it was sooo good. Wife had fish tacos and she was impressed as well. If you come to Jacks ask for Bernie (or is it Boerne like the place?) He asked me what I wanted and I was nervous due to my social anxiety. He picked up on it and I was able to communicate via morse code. I told him I like bougie whiskey and he made me a whiskey drink (as chumbawumna would say). It was other worldly. Do Gods truthfully walk the Earth? If they do, Bernie is the God of whiskey. Absolute God tier service. Asked if he was single and Gary spoke up right away stated the man was his and his alone.

From the moment we arrived at Jack Allen s the staff was very professional and attentive but not hovering. They were pretty busy and we expected a longer wait, the staff did an awesome job taking care of all of their customers. Menu items all looked amazing hard to choose but I decided on the Mac and cheese with chicken and it was delicious. My friend had the salad with chicken and she absolutely loved it. Our drinks were refilled at just the perfect time. Would definitely return for another meal and recommend for friends and family.

Excellent meal! The two meals we tried were delicious. They were the Chicken Fried Anything (chicken breast for me) smothered in green chili gravy, chunky red mashed potatoes with the Chef s veggies and the Pumpkin Seed Pesto-Marinated Chicken Breast with a portabella mushroom, artichoke gratin, goat cheese drizzle. I highly recommend both! The service was very good! Easy access from I-35 if you are traveling.
