I ve been frequently coming to this family establishment for 6 months and they never disappoint. Family owned Papis Pies brings their own taste of Bolivian/Mexican inspired breakfast/lunch items and I m super blessed to have found this place months ago. The owners are magnificent chefs along with son, Julio, who provides amazing service. The food is absolutely delicious and I definitely recommend that you all stop by and show these guys some love. Be sure to come hungry! Top dishes: Quiche poblano, Chilaquiles (Chipotle), liege waffle, chicken/veggie salteña more to come .

I expected a fusion of South American, American and European flavors; but the dishes are mostly European (British and French) oriented. What was most disappointing is the lack of service. It took my table 25 minutes to get water and our orders taken. After we ate, we waited and waited and no one came with the check. It took so long that I thought maybe the food was free. I had to go inside to pay because I couldn t wait any longer.

We were in Austin for my wifes birthday when we stopped here for breakfast. For a place thats tucked out of the way, they have great food and service. All despite being understaffed. My wife had a croissant, and I had the ham and cheese crepes. Both of us left an empty plate and satiated by our meals. We werent too adventurous with our meals as we ordered what we normally like to eat. We would definitely return the next time we go to Austin. This is a must eat place if you are looking for a quaint out-of-the-way breakfast/brunch spot to eat at.

The atmosphere and food are amazing! The service though not that many staff, they always look happy and cheerful, and serve the food and drinks as fast as they can. The food decorations that they put on them fit with the decorations of the place itself. Outdoor seating and (if not carona time) indoor seating too. The hot chocolate is so rich, the pies are top rated for a reason, and the waffles are to die for. Kid-friendliness: This place is like being able to sit in a little fairy wonderland. The flowers, seats, decor, and food just make it seem like youre in a new world, also the food is picky eater friendly:) Just be careful if you get the little one the waffles, that sugar rush and eventual sugar crash will be quite something!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Papis Pies, a charming garden restaurant that has quickly become my favorite spot in town. The star of the menu is undoubtedly their quiches. Each bite of the quiche is a harmonious blend of flaky, buttery crust and a rich, creamy filling that bursts with flavor. Whether you choose the classic Lorraine, with its smoky bacon and Parmesan, or the vegetarian Florentine option loaded with fresh, seasonal vegetables, you are in for a treat. My ultimate favorite is the smoked salmon quiche. The attention to detail and the use of high-quality ingredients are evident in every mouthful. Equally impressive are the pies. From the first taste of the golden, crumbly crust to the luscious, fruit-packed fillings, the pies are simply sublime. The apple pie with its perfectly spiced apples, is a nostalgic favorite, while the berry pie offers a delightful mix of tartness and sweetness, each berry bursting with freshness. While small the restaurant operates with a limited staff. Usually the owner and son, their warm and attentive service makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.

Thoroughly blown away by Papi s pies work ethic, spirit, atmosphere, cuisine. I got a crepe with Mexican truffles. It tasted so fresh, and whole. The flavors were through the roof yet perfectly subtle and balanced to leave me so warm and satiated. It was filling and excellent. I was so impressed with the plating and the fresh sprouts and tomatoes on the side with a sauce that was not too overwhelming but just right. The atmosphere is a rare find in the round rock area- and what I seek all round when I am choosing a place to eat. The moon was homey with abundant seating and encompassed the Texas hospitality I feel is growing to be a rarity these days. Skip kerbey lane next time and come try papis pies. You will be thoroughly impressed and satiated with an array of fresh and delicious dishes. Warm space, fresh pastries, teas, waffles, quiches, crepes, great service with abundant seating. My only recommendation would be less cheese centered dishes.

I am conflicted about this review. On the one hand this place is great. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is delightful. On the other hand I want it to stay my little secret. A place I can easily get a table and eat delicious food whenever the mood strikes me. Alas I know the latter will never happen. A place this good cannot stay a secret. I m stunned this is not THE Round Rock lunch place, requiring reservations and bills slipped to hostesses to ever see the inside. Parking: Great parking on the other side of the street.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and left with a belly full of wonderful food. We loved all of the dishes we ordered! Lavender lemonade: Not too sweet and has the right touch of Lavender notes. Peach tea: unsweetened with strong peach flavor. Quiche poblano: Hands down the best quiche Ive ever had. It has a potato crust instead of your regular crust and man, that quiche was bomb! The side salad with Italian dressing went really well with the quiche and was excellent. Poblano crepe: Poblano sauce was delicious and this crepe had a good kick and was gone in a few minutes. Key lime pie and coffee mousse pie were wonderful too. I could only wish that I could get more portion size for the price. Edit: Hi! I dont know how to respond to your question so Im editing the review and hope you see it. Oh man, Id love a bigger slice of the quiche and a larger crepe

Stopped by this place while in around Rock after seeing the positive reviews. I enjoyed my time here - the owner and his grandchildren were very friendly and it was nice to support a local business. I got the Prosciutto quiche ($12.75) which I would rate 3/5. While I enjoyed the initial bites, it got very salty towards the later half. I think it could have benefitted from more tomato or less prosciutto to cut the saltiness. (I was very impressed with the amount of prosciutto though!). I was definitely full from this portion. My friends got the quiche poblano ($11.75) which they enjoyed a lot! They werent completely full after this though. Both entrees came with a side of salad (arugula, tomato, other greens). We also ordered a chicken saltena ($6) because they ran out of beef. This was very understated and delicious! We also got the Spanish cheesecake and Key Lime pie. Id rate the cheesecake 4/5 - I think Im not a fan of that style of cheesecake because it was a bit too crumbly and eggy for me but thats just the style. The Key Lime pie was also 4/5 - tasty and not too sweet but the cream wasnt the best. While prices were a little high, its understandable for this small shop in the Austin area. Also just to note, they were running out of a lot of pies while we were there, and didnt have salmon for quiche or beef for the saltena. They have indoor/outdoor area to eat, and a counter where you can order food to go. Overall, definitely a place to stop by and try if youre in the area and craving quiches and pies!

My son and I had just been throwing rocks in the river and watching our sticks float over the falls before venturing north just a little ways before finding this little pie shop. All we tried was the Strawberry Rhubarb (my 9-year-old s choice), but it hit the spot, especially with the whipped cream given to us on the side. The dishes show what I mean about having a classic look not dissimilar to what you d find in grandma s kitchen. Vegetarian options: Rhubarb is a tart vegetable, but pairs lovely with strawberry

As soon as we walked in we were greated with a smile, asked if we needed a table or to go menu and taken care of immediately. The food was delicious and this tiny pie palace resembles every little Cafe in england. Breakfast was avaliable all day, fresh pies, cheesecake and other deserts were avaliable. The resturant was immaculate, clean and inviting. I was entirely sold on the whole place. The gated courtyard means we can bring the kids too. Cant wait to come back. How have we missed this little diamond diner. Dont pass this one up, you wont be disappointed. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp up into Cafe

My father-in-law fell in love with Papis cherry pies several years ago. He lives in the Dallas area now. Today we drove up to Dallas and surprised him with the pie. He was thrilled to be able to enjoy one again. We wish there was one near him up in Dallas.

Very cute little restaurant. The food was excellent. I visited this spot for a late brunch for my birthday. I had the lavender lemonade, quiche, and split the strawberry rhubarb pie and coffee with my husband. He had the waffles. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere outside was also really charming. I look forward to returning. The location is close enough to Brushy Creek trail, which made for a nice walk right after we had our meal. We also got to see the famous Round Rock, which is just a short walking distance from this gem of a restaurant. It was just perfect.

Awesome awesome awesome. It was actually kind of hard to find a good place to have breakfast this morning for my birthday. This place reminds me of the feeling I used to get when going to Kerby back in the day. Excellent food. Croque monsieur was great! Chocolate croissant was incredible. Service was a little slow, due to low staffing, but they did have a notice up and it wasnt that long

First time visiting and I really enjoyed it. It was slow so there were only two people on staff which game me lots of opportunity to chat and learn more about the establishment. The chocolate croissant is dynamite. I ordered the chicken slatena because it had lots of hype and was surprised that it wasnt amazing. It was good but I wasnt blown away. The lavender lemonade is very refreshing. The single bathroom was spotless. Ill definitely revisit to try more items.

This is a favourite spot for my wife and I. Its small and tucked away, just as we like it. The place is ran out of a small cottage-like house, and it feels like youre around at your grand parents house for food and drink. The people are really nice, and the Saltenas are great; they remind us of Pasties from our homeland of England. Think of them as a baked empanada. You have to wait 20mins for them, as they bake them there. My current fave thing to eat is the Spanish Cheesecake; light, fluffy and creamy. So good! They also sell whole pies to go. The Chocolate and Coconut Cream pies are legit! When theyre busy, it can take a long time to get served. Thatd be the only downside of the place. Go. Eat. Drink.

It reminded me of being back in Europe. The menu is small but everything is made from scratch in the kitchen. They have unsweetened Peach Tea which I can t seem to get anywhere. The empanadas are delicious and are worth the wait. My only issue I had is that I do not eat mushrooms and they were not listed as an ingredient in the menu but were in my Quiche. I didn t want to complain so I ate around it. The side salad was also really delicious. I recommend Papi s Pies.

You can either sit inside or outside and they have to-go food as well. We will be coming here again to go thru everything on the menu. Parking: This is in a historic area so youll find parking but it wont be the typical lot parking.

My new favorite place for brunch in Round Rock! Offers a variety of options of quiche, crepe, croissant and frittatas. We ordered the strawberry rhubarb for a late celebration of pi day. It was sweet, sour and flavorful. Loved their Quiche Lorraine and Croque Monsieur - fresh ingredients and simple European style. Wanna try their lavender lemonade next time when the weather warms up.

Overall rating, 5 stars being best - Overall: - Food: - Location: - Service: - Pricing : Fresh food, good service (although delayed a bit due to short on staff - we were advised upfront). The location/atmosphere is nice with both indoor and outdoor seating. The garden area is very pleasant and we enjoyed it outdoors! We were a large party with about 8 people - we ordered Quiche Florentine Veg, Quiche Salmon Fume, Regular Croissant, Triple chocolate croissant, Saltenas, Lemonade, Coffee and Iced tea. Good food and drinks! We also ordered Tres Leches to take home with us - that was average felt like cake with condensed milk poured over on top. Overall great experience and would love to go back!
