Gorgeous, almost fully shaded, parking, lots of seating, super clean. Oh and you ll see bunnies and deer. Each end of the trail has something to do. The beginning has a playscape and the end has all abilities park. There is a big gazebo by the parking lot too. Oh one last thing, everyone cleans up after their dogs number twos. What s not to love?

Joe B Freeman Park is a small neighborhood park with playground and an open space for playing, having a picnic, or just relaxing on a bench. The park is clean and well maintained. A great place to take the family, go solo, or enjoy with your fur baby. The park is connected to the Brushy Creek Trail, which makes it an excellent area to park and go for a run, jog, or refreshing walk.

Beautiful place!! It is ideal for walking, it is covered with trees and in the background the sound of birds and chichararas, you can enjoy the squirrels running from one side to the other. You can take adult and childrens bicycles; and walk your pets. There is a super cool river where you can have a good time and also fish.

This park was beautifully amazing. The playground is not shaded but everything else is ! We found a fishing trail that leads to a nice little private fishing spot. The water was deep and clear. I could see my feet all the way at the bottom ! And we got to see so much wildlife. Playground: Not shaded Dog-friendliness: We saw a lot of people walking dogs. Picnic area: There are shaded picnic areas everywhere.

Im not sure what peoples expectations are for a park, but this one is very open and very basic as far as swings and a playscape. The part is the beginning (or the end) of the Brushy Creek Trail. The parking is almost non-existent....probably 12 to 15 spots. This means that we have some intelligent folks wanting to park on the main street. To be clear, the park is fine. Big open field with two covered pavilions. Both have grills. Its just that the parking is small, and there isnt a whole lot for kids to do as far as playscapes go.

Beware - we were swarmed by bees or wasps as soon as we entered the little covered picnic area by the play structures. Between me and my two little boys, we had 6 or 8 stings. They attacked as soon as we entered the structure rather than waited to be seen or provoked. June 2022

Great access to brushy creek trail. For as big a park (field) and as many picnic tables/grills as it has, they obviously set it up to be a day use thing...... but with no bathrooms or dog watering station it is really just a parking lot for brushy creek trail, and that is great too.

My sister has a spinal cord injury and we are always on the look out for handicap accessible trails. Pros: This park is beautiful and the leading into the trailhead for the Brushy Creek trail, which is very easy to navigate herself in her wheelchair. The pathway is well paved and well maintained. There are a few bridges with a slight lift that we have to slow down for, but we started using her freewheel and that s not an issue. I also love that there are handicap accessible picnic tables further in on the trail. Cons: The parking lot is small and only has 2 handicap parking spaces, so we ve had times when we ve gotten there with no where to park. Cyclists do fly by rather fast and we ve had a couple of close calls if they don t call out when passing. We ve encountered some people walking their dogs off leash (if you re scared of dogs, it can be unnerving even with the most well behaved pups!). Overall it s one of our favorite accessible parks!

This neighborhood park marks the east end of Brushy Creek trail. There is a nice playscape without shade. A parking lot has about 10-12 spots. You can also find picnic tables but the real gem is to go a little West following the trail into the woods where you can find Bigfoot signs, more picnic tables and BBQ stand under big trees shades. The trail also connects to Play for All Park in about three miles.
