Remember eating at original location yrs ago - good tacos, friendly, and a great value.. Wonder what happened to that quaint place? Today, paid $15+ for 3 tacos. Tacos were decent, but totally not worth the price. No cash, no price list, no salsa bar. Now bougie, I guess, not my vibe.

Updated review 10/2/24 This location never ceases to amaze, great staff and even better food i take all my friends from out of town here and they are always blown away. First time dropping by.. Just got 2 Migas tacos here and holy crap were they amazingly delicious and so HOT! I didnt check the temp before leaving but they were steaming hot by the time I got home. Will definitely be going back its perfect on my way to work.

Expensive, Smallish, Greasy Taco stand. The taco tortilla is smaller than the palm of a hand. Each taco cost more than $6 and should be half that given the meager, paltry fixings and small size. Small seating area. Slow service. Go somewhere else.

Great vibe and decor. But the food is just not great. First off the tacos are missive. Making them hard to eat as a taco. And the tacos just aren t very good. They don t taste great from a flavor perspective and there are just way too many ingredients. The good news is it s a lot of food for the price. But it s just not very good.

First time at Veracruz and I ordered the Mr.Verde green juice!! It was freaking amazing! Freshly made! Not cheap either! $6 for a small glass. But so fresh and worth it. I also ordered guac and chips. Freaking delish!! Fresh guac with some delish species and home made chips! Not cheap --$10 for both but again worth it! One thing that bugged me was that there was NO PRICES posted with their food menu. I had to hope online: I did not appreciate that. Felt like the prices were hidden and hard to access. They need to change that. Other than that service was great and vibe was fun!

The service is not good. Waited several minutes for the cashier to get back to register from chatting. My order was never called out so I had to stand at the counter until the cashier decided to look for my food which had been done for 10 minutes. The Al pastor taco was the only good thing I had which tasted fresh and hot. The chicken was old and cooked earlier. Overcooked yet not charred. Bland and dry. The steak was a bit better, tasted better than the chicken. Was also pretty dry and chewy. I wont be back to this overpriced spot.

Best tacos in Austin & that s saying a lot. Authentic interior Mexican taste. Barbacoa very authentic & flavorful. Shrimp Macha very fresh. Dona Reyna their chicken mole that was really rich & wonderfully chocolaty. Menu posted on the wall as you walk in (this for the reviewer that couldn t find it). Each taco hand made to order so wait time can be long. But so worth it! This location faster than the original East Austin place but probably because we came at a slow time on a weekday. Inside seating area is very plain but who cares when the food is so good. I will be back.

The staff are very friendly and respectful. They know me and my partner since we are regulars here. They have a very large vegetarian selection which is full of delicious vegetarian Mexican cuisine. The non vegetarian options are also very good. The salsa for tacos is yummy. I don t like that they charge separately for chips if you order queso or guacamole. This is the only place I ve ever been to that chargers separately for chips. I don t recommend the Queso at all. It s not good sadly. But the migas poblanos tacos and the vegetarian tacos are so good! The guacamole is very fresh.

Their tacos and salsas are delicious. Their juices are also muy delicioso. I enjoy their tacos, but the volume of the music is so loud I cannot hear myself think or talk or call out orders at their round rock location. I have eaten here multiple times thinking it was a one time experience, but so far it has basically been every single visit. Its a shame the in house dining music/volume dampens the entire experience. I wish they would put up a sound barrier between their kitchen and the seating area instead of just wooden slats. Or offered outdoor seating away from the noise. I would say choose alternative dining before bringing anyone with hearing aids here or who has trouble hearing already.

Have always loved Veracruz. First time to this location. Once did a pre order online and once ordered in person. Lived up to what I know and have enjoyed at the other locations. The fresh made-to-order juices are phenomenal. Love the morning one (carrot orange ginger) and Mr Verde. So fresh and delicious. Also got my group smoothies one day and they enjoyed those. Drip Coffee was good. The breakfast tacos here are hands down my favorite anywhere. They make their own corn tortillas and cook them up fresh to order from what I could see. The Migas poblano taco is so good, I add bacon (something a worker previously recommended to me as a great add and I agree). The salsas are also fantastic. They re $5-ish but a good size so I only needed one for breakfast with my juice. Wish I had a stomach bug enough for 2! You can also order it with a second tortilla which I did the second time just because there s so much filling in the taco. Also enjoyed the concha - got the orange flavored one. I saw someone else complained about lack of clear to understand menu but you can easily pull up their menu online and see full descriptions with pricing. Parking right about front. Inside is clean and well kept up. Staff was very nice and got my order together quickly.

First off, there is no menu. I asked for one, and the lady pointed to the wall where there are drawings of things like chickens. I asked where the prices were, and she said breakfast tacos are $4 to $5, and other tacos are $5 +. I thought that was steep for a taco, but I decided to try one because of so many 5* reviews. Well, it was nothing to rave about. I was very disappointed. I had the chicken fajita one. What they called their mild salsa was quite hot, and hot is not for me. The chairs at all the tables are uncomfortable because the sides hit me at the wrong place near my lower back, and they are very slippery, so hard to sit up in them. This place just did not do it for me.

Things to keep in mind is a very limited menu. Mostly this is more of a take-out place the dining area is small and cozy. There could be a wait expected as the food is pretty much made in real-time. An easier rotation would be to call and order the food before getting to the place will reduce your wait time. Would recommend this place for awesome and tasty meal. First of all, I love VeraCruz and have never had a bad experience before at OTHER VeraCruzs in Austin. However, when my fiancé and I got back in town and stopped at THIS ONE, it was very nasty on the inside. The floor was dirty, the kitchen was a mess, and there weren t very many clean tables to sit and enjoy a taco at. That was the first of many problems. When taking our order, the lady at the front seemed like she didn t want to be at work that day and gave major attitude, and then gave me more attitude when I asked for more chipotle sauce for one of my tacos. Other than that, my tacos were delicious. However, my fiancé found a very long dark brown hair in his Shrimp Diablo. I was very disappointed in this VeraCruz because all of the other ones I ve been to in Austin (Tarrytown, Webberville Rd, and Cesar Chavez street), were nothing in comparison.

The smell when you walk in make you want to order what ever they are cooking. But todays visit was just for the beery strong smoothie. It was really good so I had to order la Reyna taco

This was my first time trying Veracruz All Natural. I live in Houston and was headed home but wanted a quick breakfast. This place is incredible! Very fresh food and a cool, chill atmosphere!!! I highly recommend it! I got the La Reyna taco, barbacoa taco & the green juice. All incredible! The barbacoa was SO flavorful and tender. 10/10 for this restaurant! Order online if you don t want to wait too long-they get busy!

Ordered online. Drive 20min to get great tacos. Order not started when arrived. One other person there when I arrived. Very disappointed. Online estimate for order completion was 20min. It s been 30mins since I ordered and no food.

Ive been wanting to try this place for ages. It didnt disappoint. May be some of the best tacos Ive had in the Austin area. Guac and chips were perfect. Everything is fresh, with unique flavors, and well presented so you can actually taste the individual ingredients. Nothing is greasy or hastily prepared. Its pretty rare to find food that surprises and pleases thats not in some fancy restaurant.

Wait in the to go line for 20 minutes while my food is sitting there on the counter. Get told to go to the back of the line if i want to order a juice even though they dont have the option on their own website. Disappointing experience.

We stood in line waiting for 15 minutes, and they waited until we were at the front of the line to let us know that the wait time for food was 55 minutes. Staff should be telling guests as they arrive about unusually long wait times.

Delicious breakfast tacos and salsas, and Im rather picky about both! Yummy mango Agua Fresca, not too sweet at all. Plenty of options for both carnivores and vegetarians. Worth the stop if youre nearby!

This is by far the best breakfast tacos we had, very charming and rustic place and the service was very good. Vegetarian options: My son is vegetarian and he also thought it was the best vegan taco too

My first time trying out this location in round rock tx they have a few around Austin tx. I ordered the migas taco added bacon and the traditional taco added avacado neither one of my add ons were added even though was charged for it. Tacos are fairly small for almost paying $5 a taco and for myself they were missing flavor. Believe the only thing that i enjoyed was the red sauce has enough kick. Overall would not go back to this location may try out the original location to see if my opinion changes.

The tacos are award-winning, that says it all! Get the traditional and migas breakfast tacos and you won t regret it. Also, make sure to grab their salsa verde to throw on your tacos.

Always fresh and delicious. Ordering online is easy, and pickup is quick. Expect ~20+ minute wait for your order, but it s worth it. Support local! Our fav is a migas taco with bacon on corn. :)

Food was solid. Got two tacos and a smoothie, and enjoyed every bit. Unfortunately it came out to be $20 just for myself, which is a bit much for a medium-to-small sized lunch. My advice to management, if theyre looking to bring in more customers, would be to create some sort of two-tacos-and-a-side deal for $10. Then Id be here frequently, and itd be 5 from me.

An employee was sweeping around our tal le we were eating making all the dust to land on our food. So rude !!!! My son started crying because he just had started eating when these rude as people stared spraying cleaning liquids and sweeping while we were still there eating. I can t even explain how upset I was.
