We had absolutely great service! No wait time, the food was delicious, and the price was just right! My hubby and I were celebrating our anniversary and split an appetizer and dinner plate and were so full! The bread was yummy too, as always! Eryca was very attentive and friendly!!! They have a plate with fettuccine Alfredo, chicken Parmesan, and lasagna...a little bit of a variety, I definitely recommend the combo platter!

My baseline, I come from the NJ/NY area, I haven t been able to find a restaurant in TX that can compete with the most average restaurant in the northeast. With that said, Gino s had a family like atmosphere, a little on the noisy side, and the fans made it somewhat uncomfortable to eat, as they cool your food too quickly. Service was OK, place was busy, so I can t be too judgy, she was attentive. But the food was my biggest problem, the pasta was OK, however, I appreciated the honesty of our server for telling me that the sauce wasn t fresh and it wasn t what I should expect, her excuse, they have to serve to a non-Italian clientele. I may go back if going with other people, but not my first choice for an Italian restaurant.

Traditional and well-executed Italian food, the place was comfortable and clean, it was our first time and we didnt know what to order our server made some really good suggestions and she was super friendly and helpful, the bread was very good, we end ordering some mussels they came out well seasoned and very tasty, we got some pasta and trout it was good but it has too much sauce, the calzone was the best we love the quality of the ingredients! Im very excited to try the Ginos pizza!

Gave it a try for the first time since it was in the neighborhood. Really craved cream pasta, so placed a pick up order a bit late (30min before they close). Husband went in (10min before they close) to pick it up, all employees seemed very pissed. Got home, opened up the order, sauces spilled everywhere bc how those were packed, calamari fritti didn t come with the marinara sauce, which was bummer. Would give 1 star, but I added another one just because the lady on the phone who got the order was sweet.

Update: it has now been over 20 years of being a customer.. We had not visited and dined in person since before the pandemic (ordered some yummy pizzas during the pandemic, had not sat in a restaurant for a while)... Last night we visited for our 18th anniversary, food looked and tasted over bulk prepped. Ricotta cheese was off (either previously frozen, old or subpar quality), or once favorite caprese salad, tired.. with wilted (arguably spoiled) lettuce leaves and the once clearly imported deli meats replaced with something you might find at Chilis... This feels identical to what happened with my fav hometown family owned Italian restaurant, The new generation takes over, and the place goes downhill. They just dont have the same passion to keep their place amazing like their parents did, but the namesake keeps customers coming in, at least for a while. Well try again one more time, hoping this was just an off night... But we were disappointed enough I felt it apropos to update my once impeccable review.. I feel like its the end of an era for Ginos once scrumptious authentic Italian American food. To note: The wait staff is just what I remember. Amazing table service. Previous review: I moved here from a city that has amazing Italian food over ten years ago only to find a void in quality Italian restaurants. This place is a treasure, as good as it gets in Central Texas.

I went there a couple of times and the food was good. But the third time , it was not so great experience. The snapper was over cooked , chewy/rubbery (one good thing is the waitress took 50% off of the price as I brought it to her attention since we couldn t eat it at all), We ordered a Pizza to-go. But by the time we got home , the pizza was destroyed with cheese and toppings separated from the base. Alas!!

The food was absolutely amazing! Better than Olive Garden or any other Italian restaurant we ve ever had. However, we didn t have a very good waitress. Even though we had a large party, we were her only table. The prices were outrageous though. For myself, husband & 3 kids, our bill was over $130. Vegetarian options: Marinara sauce choices, eggplant parmigiana or select cheese instead of meat on select dishes. Kid-friendliness: Wide variety, large portioned kid s menu. Quit wasting people s time when they are trying to pay and tip for an enjoyable experience.

We moved to RR last year and found this place. As an Italian, I am pleased to say that this is easily the BEST spot to get authentic Italian food. We always order to go to avoid wait times but every time we go to pick it up, the aunt and son are so amazing and kind people!! Highly recommend it to a lot of people I run into if they haven t tried it already! The tiramisu is SO GOOD!! The fettuccine is always spot on.. although I would say maybe add some garlic o and pepper MAYBE a touch of sea salt and it gives it more flavor for the sauce. They forgot one of my tiramisús last time but the son was so quick and nice with replacing it for free and that was very nice of him. And it makes me feel more comfortable and confident ordering since it s Italian family owned as well!

Ginos is great! Theres a reason why they are celebrating being in business 30+ years. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. My friend and I have gone for lunch twice and we always leave satisfied. The complimentary bread is soft and yummy. We add parmesan cheese and black pepper from the table to the dipping oil. We plan on working our way through the entire menu. We tried the fried zucchini, shrimp scampi ravioli and the stuffed meat cannelloni with the mushroom alfredo sauce this time. All winners!

Saw reviews about inconsistencies with reservations called to ask if they accepted walk ins. Immediately, I was asked to hold. After the 1st 5 minutes, I thought of hanging up. Something stopped me, and I decided to wait and see how long they left me on hold. During this time, I called 3 times from another phone and received no answer. By the way, I typed up this review while still on hold. Went up 41 minutes. I guess they were too busy seating 1 family. We were very excited to visit this place. I think Olive Gardens salty breadsticks sound delicious about now.

The chairs after a while were uncomfortable and the table for 4 was cramped. But over all we will return just to be with Sue once again.

I took my girlfriend there for her birthday cause she loves baked ziti and she was not disappointed. The meal started with bread and oil that legit blew our mind. It was our first time dining here, so we really didnt know what to expect, but the best part about the entire experience was our waitress. I wish I remembered her name because she was AWESOME! Super sweet, attentive and even gave us a slice of her favorite cake for free after our meal. If youre in the area and see this place, if nothing, stop in for the service and bread with the oil. The Owner I think is Gina. The pizza is great yeah but thats not what impressed me on my first visit here. It wasnt the beautiful decor either or the warm comforting atmosphere inside. What was most impressive and what stood out from everything else was the humanity and morality that was on display. You see, there was a homeless person outside my car. Id give him cash but I had none. In fact I forgot my wallet so I could only pay by phone. I walk in and he walks in. I let him go first. Gina simply without one word handed him a huge roll of freshly baked bread and smiled and said hi to him. That is called some good upbringing, a godly person, doing what others dont. Then my turn came. I had gone in to pick up 6 large pizzas. I paid over the phone but there were two calzones which hadnt been paid for on my order. I pulled my phone out and she said they dont accept phone payments. I was like oh no. I have no card no cash. Everyone is waiting for the food at my office. She looked at me and said you know what.. just take it and call me with the card info when you get back to the office. WHAT? Yes.. she trusted me she said. Never met me before.. then because it was a big order she gave us free napkins and free plates and so many crushed pepper and Parm packs. Im totally going back. Im speechless. you will be too at such customer service.

This was a great pasta dinner. Portions were generous, our waitress was spot on, and our drinks were full all the time. It was a very family-friendly restaurant. Cant wait to visit next time Im in town in Roundrock, TX. Sooo Good!

I guess it s only fair to start out by saying that our family is originally from New Jersey and we may have certain predispositions to Italian food. That said, this place looked, felt, and even tasted like home. The complimentary bread was fresh and warm, the accompanying dipping sauce of oil garlic, oregano, and chili flake was delicious and a pleasant surprise. The calamari rings were larger than we are accustomed but were surprisingly tender and the breading was great along with the house made marinara and a squeeze of lemon nothing was missing. The menu is quite large so you will have to see it for yourself. For entrees we all ordered something different and everyone was thrilled. From children to vegetarians, and everyone in between we all loved our dishes. The portions were huge and I have to say the lasagna was outrageous. I had the sampler, but next time I m going all in on the lasagna. My brother loved the chicken Florentine, my mother the Snapper, my aunt the shrimp piccata, my sister-in-law the ravioli with the pesto! This will be our families new go to place, and the price was great for the flavor and the portion size. We didn t even try the pizza! Next time;) Kid-friendliness: The two kids loved it, plenty of options and they gave them kids menus with crayons and activities to keep them occupied.

Great local Italian restaurant, family owned and run. Had the gnocchi and my wife ordered eggplant parm. The eggplant parm also came with spaghetti. All were Excellent! The bread they provide at the table with the doing oil was delicious, a little spicy. We also ordered some dessert.

I have been to Gino s many times, every time I have been there the service and the food has been incredible. I catered a huge meal for the company I work for from Gino s and Teresa the owner along with her sisters have done a great job and accommodated every single thing I asked for, the food was amazing as usual.Claire and Mrs. sue are great servers and will make you feel right at home! I can t recommend enough for you to try Gino s. If you haven t already, you will not be disappointed. As an Italian from New York, I didn t think I would get close to the food I m used to in Texas but Gino s has done it.

9/27/2019 Tried this place last night based on recommendation from my husbands cousin. Not impressed with the place when we walked in. Thought perhaps food would be good, so we gave it a try. Plus we were hungry. My husband ordered a beer and I had red wine. Waitress sat the wine glass in front of me, I couldnt believe it! She served her customer messy spilled wine all over the glass. She disappeared before I could say something. I didnt want to wine on my clothes, so I thought no big deal I just wipe it myself. The one star was for my husbands chilled beer and mug which he was happy with. Bread was more like dinner roll, not what you would expect from Italian restaurant. Dinner salad was a blah. Dressing was served in a small plastic cup, not what you would expect to see in a restaurant. The two sausages appetizer had no taste. We were staring at our pile of dirty dishes and empty mug for sometime. My husband wanted another beer. Our waitress was MIA. Our main dishes finally arrived. My husband said his pizza taste like store bought from frozen food section. I had the Combo Platter Montepalciano-Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagna and Fettuccini Alfredo. Which was very salty, chicken was tough and food no taste. Overall appearance of the place is more like a cafeteria with restaurant cuisine pricing. Waitress MIA, we had to take our bill to the register while waitress standing there chatting with her coworker. The lady owner/manager seemed concerned with unhappy customers took $10 off our bill, which we didnt ask for. Worthy of a second star . BTW we were scouting for places to cater our once a week company luncheons in Round Rock. Obviously Ginos wont be on that list.

I have been in many Italian restaurants and this one is always good The food is delicious the desserts are so good as well. The food just tastes right maybe because it s a family owned restaurant the food have that original unique taste. Never disappointed!

Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. I would add that if you need a walker or wheelchair, the entrance to the restrooms may be a little challenging. It has saloon doors you have to go through, and buster seats are stored in the area. Otherwise, it was a great visit.

We came across this Italian restaurant via Google Maps. This is a good casual restaurant for all age groups. It is a nice place to go with family and friends. Great selection of food, serves good food and good portion sizes. This restaurant was buzy when we got there for a dinner on a weekend. We ordered a few pizzas and some pasta dishes. My Seafood Pescatore was loaded with a generous amount of seafood and the right amount of sauce. It was really good but could be better with a little more seasoning to lift up the flavour. Lobster Ravioli was delicious. The hamburger pizza was ok. The rest of the food was good. Service was good too. I wish I could say service was excellent. After we had our food, the waitress stacked right in front of me the dishes with leftovers from our table before she took them away. It was not a pleasant moment for me but I m sure she didn t mean to be rude. Definitely will return if we re back in the area to explore the menu. Dietary restrictions: Gluten friendly food available Parking: Free parking lot just outside the restaurant

Order food from this place 3 times know and they havent gotten the order right. Last time was the worst. Forgot part of our order and we had to go back to get the item. The meal was horrible tasting and some of it was not even fresh or completely cooked. I order baked ziti and got some awful cheese pasta dish that was not even cooked, not baked Ziti. None of the dishes were done right. They dont even know their own menu and how to cook it anymore. Did they change owners and not tell anyone.
