We stayed at this hotel for one night and we did not have a good experience. Shortly after checking in to our room, we realized the room was infested with crickets. Crickets were crawling all over the ground and they were hiding inside the holes in the baseboards where the carpet was peeling off of the wall. When we went back to the front desk to ask for a resolution, the front desk agent said It s cricket season. What do you want me to do? I tried to explain to him that yes, I know it is cricket season, but it is not normal to have over 50 crickets nesting and making their home inside the baseboards of the room. The front desk agent said there were no other rooms available and he said he could not issue a refund. It is very unfortunate that the front desk agent refused to offer any solution or compensation for the issue. I advise against staying at this hotel.

Everything was amazing since day 1, the room was clean, no foul smell, the carpet seemed clean. The pool was very clean my kids enjoyed every moment. The best part is that I was able to have my dog with us in the room. Thank you so much for making our first time in Austin memorable.

Stayed 1 night at 08/31/204 - me, my wife and our small dog. Safe and convenient location, spacious and clean room. Friendly stuff, good breakfast, free parking! In addition pet deposit was fully refunded. Highly recommended! Rooms: clean, spacious, you can choose 2 beds option for the same price! The carpet was a little musty smelling at first entering the room. It didn t bother us after 15 minutes. The carpet needs updating. It looked clean.The room was very clean. The tv remote batteries were dead the front desk was super she have us new batteries and a new remote just incase it was the remote. It was the batteries. My husband asked what time did they make coffee in the morning. The lady said come back in 15 minutes I ll brew some now. The breakfast was very good. The dining room and lobby were very clean. It was too cold in the dining room for me. I m diabetic I can t drink juice. Water bottles available with breakfast would be nice. I would stay again. They obviously do slot to make sure your stay is great. June 29th a black lady I want to give her a shout out but my husband can t remember her name. She s doing an excellent job with customer service. A smile and effort goes a long way thank you. Safety: Our van was safe all night. Parking was easy to get right outside our room.

First off, fair warning: Do not accept reservations in rooms 126 or 127, and probably 128. I was placed in 126, which smelled so much of cigarette smoke that I called the front desk to let them know so that I wouldnt be charged the $500 cleaning fee for smoking. I was told by the general manager that 127 had been rented to a heavy smoker for a year, and that the smell had permeated into 126. In other words, they are aware of the issue and continue to rent the room to nonsmokers. I can only assume that 128 is similarly impacted. This stench is unacceptable if you are looking for a smoke-free environment. I cannot imagine what 128 must be like! Second, when they did find me a new room, 125, I was rushed into it because the general manager expected to sell out that evening. So, I hurriedly moved my stuff. The next day, when I got into the shower, I noticed a pair of dirty panties strung over the curtain rod in the shower, bunched up into the shower curtain. Since I was already in the shower when I noticed, I threw them on the floor. Then, I noticed that there was dirt and mold on the shower curtain. It appeared to not have been changed or cleaned from the previous tenant. Apparently, the cleaning crew were rushed, too. Third, the fan in the bathroom in 125 isnt functional, and the toilet runs on. The toilet in 126 created a puddle of standing water in its bathroom, between the toilet and the floor. I dont know if its for these reasons or others, but the room feels clammy and damp all the time, to the point that my interlocking hardwood phone stand has swollen into a tight fit, and my passport covers are curling. When I informed the front desk of the dirty underwear, shower curtain, and other issues when bringing in the various items for replacement--I neither sought nor received replacement panties, clean or otherwise!--I asked about a refund. I was directed to call the booking agency, or talk to the general manager (who was home for the day). I will be calling Agoda to see what can be arranged, and to inform them of the shenanigans. I rented here for the low price. I will not make this mistake again. Previously, this was a Best Western, but has either changed hands or been renamed. Just try to remember the address in case theyre renaming it to escape 1-star reviews. Oh, I forgot to mention, and I have forgotten to mention it to them so far, that my curtains are torn, so it is impossible to guarantee privacy. The holes arent large, but a dedicated peeper could get a peek, and they dont block all the daylight. Another thing! Initially, due to crossing the International Date Line, I hadnt booked for my first night here. The next day, while sleeping in and jet-lagged, I awoke to my door being opened so hard that the latch hardware pulled out from the door. I had to explain to the guy that I had another week booked, and that the staff from the previous night were supposed to inform him of this. Apparently, the Do Not Disturb door hanger had blown off the handle. (Ive since resorted to stuffing them in to the door jamb.) Im not sure Ive fully processed this invasion. I find the carelessness and inattention of certain staff members to be unacceptable and even dangerous. Lets see how night four goes!

This hotel should be destroyed by the city of round Rock immediately. The Manager Ken is very abrasive and has no resolution skills. He is very untruthful so as Vee a clerk who is always serious ànd she terrifies guests with her facial demeanor. This hotel is in a deplorable condition. The laundry room machines dont work. I am here for a week and I had to sleep 5 days on the dirty sheet which I removed from the bed and dropped on the floor. I asked them to exterminate the room because there were lots of brown insects like crickets in the room many of them in the corners . I had to kill many. Some for into my clothes tub. They refuse to exterminate the room. They never vacuum the room they make up the bed with the same dirty sheets. They do not replenish the room with wash rags. The bath twells and sheets are brown instead of whiteThe toilet did not work when I check on the first day. I had to kill many of eh insects in the room . There are to dead one in the bath room they would come in to put soap and they would hide the dead insects behind the trash can. They have been there for 3 days. Please to not book this hotel. It is not suitable for human habitation. The so not clean the room and vacuum the floors. The face basin is broken and the water pressure is very low. I asked for a refund and they refuse to issue me a refund for me to get another hotel. Housekeepers do not speak English even the maintenance guy does not speak English Rooms: Dirty carpet and they do not clean or vacuum floors Safety: Be very careful. There are homeless people around

Fridge wasnt working properly and when I told the front desk, they said theyd send maintenance but maintenance never came. Also got told that breakfast could only be eaten in the breakfast area and I couldnt take it to my room which was absurd. Ive seen a couple of people walk out with their plates before me. Also smell of marijuana smoke was so strong as there was people smoking right outside nearly beside my room.

The only thing good about this place is the breakfast. It s grimy inside and out, pool only accessible part of the time because hotel staff spend all day there to avoid doing other work. Washing machine in laundry facility does not work. Homeless people parked in the parking lot harassing guests, and hotel employees are unwilling to make them leave. Trash piled up all over the parking lot. It s worth it to spend a few extra bucks to stay elsewhere. Highway noise makes it an uncomfortable stay as well. Adding a photo of said homeless people and piled up trash stopping another guest to cuss at. Room 116 also had bed bugs, my husband is covered in bites. (Photo attached of that as well). No refund or partial refund is being offered.

Not bad. Rooms were clean. Exterior was a bit grimy. Breakfast was mostly prepackaged stuff and powdered eggs, but it got the job done. Mexican restaurant next door was decent and open late. Freeway noise was pretty bad. Drivers on frontage road were nuts. The entrance on the frontage road was really hard to see. They need better signage.

This is a hell hole with individuals hanging out in the alleys. I booked a room for 2 days using my rewards as a gold member with whyndam rewards, that was a huge mistake. This places need to be demolished. The supervisor who is black is very belligerent; he tried to argue with me over my room. They recommended for me to change my room because the room was moldy with a water leak in the bathroom; the bathtub was damaged and also was the face basin. He told me there was no rooms available but he lied. There are many available and he told me that they fix the problem which was the leak and he did not know about any other issues.

STAFF lived in my room overnight while I was out..I checked in the afternoon and left in the evening since I work night shift. I came back at 6 AM in the morning and realized a staff member had taken over the room and was sleeping with the deadbolt on...the front desk justified it saying we thought you checked out...I still had my bag in the closet...this is a dangerous motel and expect to have your stuff stolen if you leave it alone.

We are here now. A 3 Star? 2 Bars of soap, 1 shampoo, one coffee . The carpet is absolutely filthy! Definitely not worth $125+ plus $25 for the dog! Oh yes, no ice either!!!!!!! The water has no pressure whatsoever! This truly is the worst stay! The room is in my husbands name. Mr David Thomas. It is insanely loud. The bed is very soft. Worst business practice imaginable. I had a reservation with the property since December (for the solar eclipse) and was in contact with them in January about check-in times. Now, three month later I received a call that unfortunately they are overbooked and have to change my reservation to another day. I refused. Then they cancelled my reservation alltogether. Im absolutely sure they cancelled all cheap, early reservation and are letting me sleep on the streets so they can make more money. Deplorable. I will fight this.

Great stay overall for the price found online. You hear some road noise from the interstate. It s a quick turn in so easy to miss. Only complaint is smelling smoke in the room occasionally from people smoking outside. Good internet. Bed was comfortable, place was clean. Nice bathroom. Great option and great value for its location. We were able to reserve this hotel last minute and everything worked out. The service was amazing and the location very convenient. Bacon! They have bacon every third day. Nice breakfast selection! Eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, Jimmy Dean sausage breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, toast, bagles & cream cheese, cereal, waffles and more! The driveway is difficult to find at high speeds. RIGHT turn directly after YMCA. And if you miss it, none of the surrounding parking lots connect, you have to get back onto Frontage, drive around and try again. OR just park in the Mexican restaurant parking lot like I did the first night. We couldnt tell if the room was musty because of the overpowering floral scent. We were able to air it out and realized the scent is coming from the heater itself. As I understand it this specific place is in the midst of transition. All in all, a pleasant stay. My kids really loved the biscuits and gravy. Other rooms have no such issues with overwhelming floral scents. Weve been here multiple times and have generally enjoyed and appreciated our stay here. We booked our rooms online. I should have read the reviews and I might not have booked at this hotel. We booked 2 rooms 201, and 204 handicapped for our elderly parents for 3 nights. Both rooms were smoke free. Many of times we were smelling smoke from cigarettes and the smell of marijuana was so strong at times we had to leave our room. I spoke with the front desk and all I got was I m sorry The rooms were a little dated, don t look like the pictures online. I definitely wouldn t recommend a family with children stay here. The best part of the stay was the Mexican restaurant next door, the food was amazing.

When booking was advised pets (dogs) were $25 per pet for the 2 day stay, totaling $50 for 2 small dogs, when checking in this was confirmed with the desk agent, when checking out they tacked on another $50 saying I was incorrect, so they lied just to get us checked in then screwed me with the charges! The clerk when I checked out said she would contact the mgr and she or manager would call me back this morning at 0930,,,,,,still waiting for the call back it is now 1910 hours. This is a very dated motel, with layers of paint, a broken latch to secure the window on the first floor next to a flimsy exterior door, the smoking area ashtray was placed near my door 114. The room appeared clean but wreaked of cigarette and marijuana smoke that I spent 2 days trying to get rid of, we will not stay here again and will not recommend it to anyone. Certainly not the value best western used to be! The breakfast was adequate but nothing spectacular. Noteworthy details: Dirty, stinky, untruthful, is the attractive way to describe this hotel

Our room had roaches in it and came from the ceiling and from under the bed, and 1 came out of the bathroom. Will definitely stay again if Im in the area. Im not going to go into detail about what the staff did to help me because no good deed goes unpunished but I will say I had a medical emergency and Brian and James went above & beyond the call of duty to help me deal with the issue. If we all treated each other the way they treated me we wouldnt be such a divided country - or world for that matter. Somebody will probably give this review a thumbs down because Im about to make a Christian remark regarding Matthew 25: 35-45. I was almost brought to tears by Brian & James compassion and integrity. Theres no question in my mind which group Brian & James are in. I wish these angry politicians and self-righteous Christians could spend a day with these two employees. If they did, theyd see real-life servant leadership in action, not just Bible-thumping rhetoric. Words can not express how grateful I am. I know this isnt a typical review, but it was not a typical stay. So, if youve read this far, the breakfast was very good. As is the case with most BWs, the rooms were spacious. The A/C in my room was FANTASTIC. The shower had plenty of pressure. The couch appeared new, which would make sense because there was a stack of old ones out back. The desk chair was the most comfortable Ive had this entire two-week road trip. You could actual raise it up so you werent sitting in what amounts to a kindergarten chair. My favorite thing about the room was that the Mini-fridge actually worked, because most of the fridges Ive had on this trip could double as a microwave. This one kept my water bottles and the ice packs for my knee frozen solid. Theres a YMCA next door. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Pool looked clean & nice, although I was too busy going to the hospital to use it. Well done, good and faithful servants. I will return (I hope:^)

Gross, dated hotel. I didn t take other negative reviews seriously, but I should have. Owners have been replying for more than a year saying they d fix it, this review will tell you they haven t. Staff is very friendly, it is NOT the staff s fault. You can tell the owners didn t give this place a lot of care, the beds are OLD, pillows are older and the hotel seems made out of tin. The bathrooms are filthy, not due to cleanliness but age. You can hear your neighbors whisper in the room next door, if they re outside, you re in their conversation. There is a lot of other noise from the Nextdoor highway. The breakfast is okay, mostly watery egg mix and if you re lucky a strip of bacon may be offered, otherwise it s sausage and a waffle. If you can go elsewhere, do. Definitely not staying at another Best Western anytime soon, if this hotel is up to their standard, it is a low standard.

Super slow to check in. Its 3:45pm, so it shouldnt take this long. Over 30 minutes standing in a hot lobby, while nobody even says they will get to me soon or anything. They have 3 people standing behind the counter, but helping one customer in front of me. This place is a complete joke? The customer in front me is booking a bunch of rooms for a sports team and the desk cant get it together. They are super confused and its ridiculous. Now they have a line behind me. I changed it to 2 stars, because the desk man was really friendly and apologized when I finally made it to the desk. The other desk ladies should have helped him, instead of clocking out at 3:30 (check in time) and leaving with a lobby full of people.

The rooms were clean. They were well used. The carpet was kinda gross. It had been cleaned as well as it could be. The beds were comfortable. The dresser in our room was missing a drawer. The towels were nice. The shower was not great. Luckily we werent in a hurry. It took about 10 minutes to fiddle with the faucet to get it to something between scalding and freezing, and then another 15 minutes to wash the shampoo out of your hair with the pitiful water pressure. Other than that everything was fine.

I stayed here at Round Rock Texas Best Western a couple months ago and had to put a $100 deposit down. Never got it back and nobody answers the phone there. Talk about thieves. Oh yes and the rooms needed repair work completed. Had electrical problems. No more Best Western anywhere!

The staff here are friendly and quick to help, and the rooms are clean and well laid out. The water in the shower gets nice and hot and the appliances are adequate for a short stay. My only suggestion is to bring your own blankets if you get cold easily. The pool is nice as well, and there are bathrooms near the pool.

The 1st time I stayed at this property, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was and how comfortable the beds where. That however was a long time ago. This time I was frightened to stay but, I was so tired; I couldnt make myself pack up and leave! I changed rooms once only to have the same issue in room #2. Mosquitoes and spiders occupied the rooms! I asked the front desk if they had bug spray but, they said no. The rooms where not clean around the baseboards, the ceiling had cob and spider webs. The toilet had not been cleaned. I am a retired corporate travel consultant and although this hotel/motel quality property did alright by me the first time a few years back, I do not recommend this specific Best Western any more. No matter what you pay for a room, you deserve better than I what I experienced. Your money is green, spend it elsewhere!

WiFi is garbage! None of my devices -- NONE -- stay connected, and when there IS one, its at maybe dial-up speeds, so cant even do anything. I have a modern Windows 11 laptop, and Android 11 Samsung smartphone and tablet. It is ridiculous. Just many items in disrepair. No shower curtain, no security latch on door, toilet flush valve barely works, just on and on! Very disappointing!

This place is in a serious need of an update. Missing paint, rusting stairs, dents in walls, broken appliances in room, broken ice machine, emptied pool. Though it is cheap and sufficient for a nights sleep, it leaves a lot to be desired. Access is through the outside, so not recommended for women solo travelers or others worried about security/safety. Hotel is right along highway, so ask for a room in the back to avoid excessive noise. WiFi didnt work for me. Water was hot with decent pressure. Standard barebones continental breakfast included. Staff was super friendly. The are better equally cheap hotels in the vicinity, so would recommend an alternative until they spruce things up or unless other options are limited.

Checked in around 12:30 pm still waiting for maintenance to bring us a room phone that I had to personally take to office and let them know the keys where not functioning. 8 hrs later still no phone, only one ice machine to service the entire hotel and now just killed a roach crawling on the wall. Have always been a fan of BW up until today. You will never see another penny from me. Id call the front desk to let them know about the roaches, but thats right. My room has no phone, because maintenance is busy.

Owner should check video of how bad is his front desk staff. After Darienne told Kenya to charge $76 plus tax for the night, he was trying to get $87 plus tax. He called Darienne again to confirm the rate of $76 after I complained about it. Because of this discrepancy I waited for Garret ( front desk employee) in order to pay for the reserved room but he was rude for not reason and didnt want to rent the room. Kenya was very pleased to see Garretts rude behavior towards me. The rate of the room is managed by greed.

We had roaches in one of our rooms, new room had them as well. Breakfast was minimal, water pressure poor, shower handle came off in our hand. Motel style so right next to parking and all noise. I rate my experience okay. Yes they do accept pets. The pictures make the place look better than what we arrived too. It s basically an old motel 6 feel. No comforter, one tiny 2-1 shampoo n conditioner. No mattress protector. The sheets were torn at the top. The people staying in the hotel looked pretty sketchy, hanging out on the balcony at until late at night and walking up and down the balcony. The reviews and pictures made it seem better than what we arrive to.

The staff here is excellent, its in a great location and the rooms are comfortable too! The staff are accommodating, patient and attentive. My dad had an issue with his in-room phone and the front desk was quick to try to resolve. When maintenance was unable to repair the phone they offered a new room. Its normal to offer a replacement room but they went over and above by assisting him with the move. The staff helped my dad walking to the room and took his luggage to new room. Note I was not there at the time and my dad needs assistance walking and seeing. They also gave him a room that was close to the lobby. The hotel rooms have outside entrances, refrigerators, microwaves, a coffee maker in the room and also always has coffee available in the lobby. In the morning, they offer a free breakfast and the property has coke and pepsi machines, candy machines and other snacks. The hotel is also located next to Casa Garcia restaurant for lunch/dinner and less than a mile from another 10 or more restaurants. It is a great location and provides smoking rooms if you are a smoker.

Clean, the shower curtain was torn up, but the breakfast was underwhelming and had hot coffee and hot water for instant oatmeal and some wrapped pastries. The front desk staff was talking with each other so loud we couldnt wait in the lobby. NOT up to par with best Western standards IMHO but right off I35. So close you cannot hear normal conversation. The hotel has gone down hill over the past year. There were people outside drinking beer in the parking lot and playing loud music that I could hear in my room. There were also a lot of trailers parked all over the hotel parking lot making it difficult to park. On top of that the room price doubled from what it was last year. I heard about this hotel from my boss, so when my Mama was coming to visit from out of state we decided to set her up here. They went above and beyond what we expected! Solid 4 star. Rooms are awesome and have recently been updated. Very spacious and my king bedded room had a desk, sofa, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and a large TV. No issues with water pressure or hot water for a shower. The breakfast was modest with grab and go muffins, fruit, etc. Only minor issues were the aging of the stairs due to the Texas heat and humidity - tough to maintain I imagine. WiFi was OK for email and general web use but not fast enough for videos. TV had plenty of channels but some did not come in and the channel numbers did not match any service provider in Round Rock or Austin so there was no way to see what was on without going channel by channel. I did not have any road noise issues but my room was near the end farthest away from I35. Those are fairly minor issues and the clean and well appointed room (as well as the helpful and friendly staff) more than covered the issues. I will make this my go to hotel when work takes me to the Austin, TX area.

Very disappointed after choosing this place based on reviews. Maybe we got an unlucky room. The room reeks of cat piss bad enough to burn your eyes a bit. We had scheduled a late checkout but changed our minds quickly. The water pressure is literally the worst Ive experienced anywhere (and I dont expect much from hotels/motels). Maybe 20psi, the water wouldnt even come out of all the available orifices on the shower head. When we got in the room the lights, AC and TV wouldnt turn on. Come to find out they were all unplugged. Happy to let that pass as it couldve been a weird previous visitor. Lastly this is definitely a motel not a hotel. Id have thought they would know the difference. It has two stars instead of one because it is visually clean though the smell tells a very different story. Again maybe an unlucky room judging from other reviews. We certainly wont return to find out. Not worth 20 bucks, much less 100.
