Now that my case has finalized for now I can share my experience with this attorney. He was my opposing counsel and I worked directly with him. In my experience, he was not incredibly capable or professional. He seemed to struggle with legal knowledge and basic things like having an office or conference space, working PDF or digitally signing. In my experience, he displayed little regard for the lawyer s creed or the rules of civil procedure. Dirty tactics that caused more strife and divide for all. He played hide the ball, intentionally ran up fees on both sides, tried to hide and delay for months on end to avoid court hearings, and a multitude of other issues I deemed unethical. Ultimately, I m very thankful because I protected my child and got every single thing I asked for and I partially have Mr. Chidester to thank for that. One can only hope that their opposing party hires this attorney because, aside from the headache and havoc he creates, you ll get what you want and need. If you re considering hiring this attorney, decide if you want a less than professional person to come wreak more havoc in your life and affairs, provide questionable guidance, and ultimately face a poor outcome for you as the client that would be my guess based on past experience. I probably would not have bothered to leave a review but this attorney was plain harmful to my child and to the dynamics between two people who needed to maintain a relationship for many, many years. Along with many other things, the child was hospitalized after a life threatening medical event. Chidester never bothered to see how the child was doing or exercise any grace or civility but served us with initial discovery while in the hospital with the child immediately following the life threatening event. This did not bode well for his client.

My family and I are very grateful we had Matthew Chidester during our family legal matter that began August of 2019, and finally came to a resolution on April 2021. Our legal matter consisted of a Geographic Restriction and this situation caused a lot of pain and exhaustion, but having an attorney like Mr. Chidester on our side, to explain the legal process, and most importantly made us feel supported during our personal hurdle, which in any family law situation is extremely important. I recently purchased a small business in the midst of a pandemic and Matthew walked me through every step of the way to make sure me and my family are protected.
