Beware when you use Academy credit card I am still fighting with them and Comenity Capital Bank. 01/13/24.they had a problem with computer kicked my card back. Ok no worry just paid by other means. Got receipt how i paid for it. Come Feb .get a bill for what bought on my Academy card. call them, said would check into. March rolls around same thing .but now I have late fees& inst. Now it April , I start getting calls about my late payments. At that time started writing letters. Talking to people. In one day I talked to 10 different reps with out any help. To try to shorten this it 9/28/24 * I have talked to over 30 people, sent 8 letters Cert. . All kind of documents from the store ,the receipt that show how it was paid for .Bank statements where it was paid by my bank. Say that not enough proof. It affecting my credit. They got all proof & documents( actually 5 or more copies} sent to every place I could. As of this date 9/28/24 it still has not been settled .A $400 purchase [that I paid for by another card} is now $616.52 late fees& inst. HOPE SOME HIGHER IN THE CHAIN HELP ME !!! The Rockwall store tells me it out of their hands. Comenity Capital Bank say it should have been handled by the store, they are the one who sent the bill in. Any help would be appreciated!!! Moss, definitely was fast and helpful. He knew off back that I couldn t find something and went out his way to make sure I had the perfect cleat for my son. Most stores love to say what s out is all we have. He double checked twice and made sure I left happy, even helped my son pick out matching accessories( I m a new sport mom). Thanks again Moss

Had a great experience while shopping at Academy in Rockwall. My wife and I were helped by Mark K. and he was the ultimate store employee. He was able to help us in Sporting Goods, Outdoor furniture, and Shoe Department. After going through the checkout line, Mark assisted me in loading my purchase in my truck as it was very heavy. What a great attitude and personality. Academy needs to make sure they recognize Mark for his service to the public and his knowledge of the products.

I am old school I guess. I do NOT Amazon. I love great retail experiences and seek them out. I like to speak with sales representatives and not TM Amazon. This location has a plethora of helpful employees! Tanner was quite helpful to me and actually accelerated my purchase an additional $50! Great work Tanner! I found the hip boots, muck boot s, and non slip work shoes I was looking for. Great staffing at this spot with engaging employees that actually made eye contact with the customers. Excellent retail shopping experience for this old timer. Thank you!

Slowest customer service ever! Was at checkout a full 20 minutes. NOT IN LINE, at the REGISTER. I was trying to use a gift card but nobody new how to do anything. Then I tried giving cash and they didnt know how to count back change. All these people should be replaced by robots.

What great employees at this store in Rockwall! The store is full of customers for fathers day gifts. I needed help in mens shoes and asked an employee for help. He had his hands full of boxes and put them down to help me find not only one but two pairs of shoes for my husband. The boxes were either too high for me to reach or I couldnt locate the correct shoe. Thank you Derek! For all your help. Upon check out Holly made sure the sizes were the same and even though the lines were long she was checking her customers out quickly with a smile. This location has the best employees!! Update: I had to return one pair of shoes that didnt work out. Holly did a quick return. She didnt remember me but I told her about my wonderful experience when I made my purchase with her. She smiled as usual and was just as friendly as the day I made my purchase. I absolutely love this store and wonderful employees!!

Did not find what I was looking for. Though I did have a gun that was discontinued in 2019, I couldnt find a holster for it. I was looking for hollow point 45 apc rounds couldnt find. Being from Illinois... I couldnt use 45 apc FMJ ammo to conceal with back in the state. Other than that, the staff was nice and kind. Ended up talking with a staff for a good amount of time over stupid things. (laws mostly in other states) Had some decent prices on items compared to back in Illinois.

Searched the two Academys in Frisco looking for a specific Vortex scope for my rifle. First one didnt have any in stock, second one had a faulty lock and couldnt open the glass case to give me the last one in stock. Called this location to ensure I could leave with one and gave them the SKU number and he assured me they had some! I drove about an hour from North Frisco to pick it up, and sure enough, I was walking out the door with it! Glad the two gentlemen were able to come in clutch and help me out. It was well worth the commute.

Went to purchase a gun that was going to be a Christmas present from My Husband, after filling out paper work and all they asked how was I paying for it, when I mentioned that my Husband was paying for it, they said the card had to be in my name, like WTH! So I guess I bought my our gun for Christmas, smh. Should of just got it from Cabela s. So if you are being gifted something make sure you have have money because you will end up paying for it.

I was not impressed, as I came in there was a guy (an employee) standing like by a booth. First of all this greeter looked like he was bored or just not happy to be there. I asked him if they carried and Dallas Cowboys, full size footballs. He struggled for a minute then said I dont know, maybe in the Cowboys section and pointed towards the right of the building, his left. It wasnt a very neat or impressive section, but I did find a ball.
