Mom lived at Beacon for bit over 2 years. Staff was good, her care was good, food was good. I spent most weekends there now I m sure I ll miss my family I made there. 100 hall for the very most part had a kind of home feel. Gonna miss them

Posting for my aunt in regards to my 98 year old grandmother who was inpatient for several weeks, and is now receiving outpatient OT/PT therapy. I agree with her review while heartedly. Thank you for the great care of my grandmother. Regarding the therapists at Beacon Harbor. My mother is 98 years old and she receives OT/PT attention. The therapists are professional yet fun. The atmosphere is positive and my mother has benefitted immensely. I cannot recommend this location highly enough.

Whilst visiting family in Rockwall from England I fell and broke my femur in 3 places and also found out I suffer from osteoporosis. This meant my recovery was going to be longer and more difficult. So here I was 5000 miles from home and wondering how I would cope when the wonderful people at Beacon Harbour came to my rescue. Special thanks to Leslie for all her assistance and care. Also to Jeff, my physical terrorist! ( Im joking. Jeff is amazing) for keeping my muscles working and for helping me to finally be able to make the journey home. Wonderful place with lovely caring people.

For the past few months I have been both an inpatient and outpatient at Beacon Harbor in Rockwall, Texas. I wanted to bring to your attention, a very exceptional Physical Therapist, Mr. Colton P. I cannot say enough positive things about this Physical Therapist. Colton always goes above and beyond to help me and truly inspires me with his upbeat, positive attitude. I am very impressed with the level of care I receive from him and how it has improved my quality of life. Beacon Harbor is very fortunate to have an awesome PT like Colton. He is a treasure! My mom has been at Beacon Harbor for well over a year now. She is doing well here. And although my mother isnt happy in the physical state shes in due to a stroke. I can say that many of the staff truly has her best interest at heart. The administration team is pretty good also. Like I love how Joy, the receptionist, goes over and beyond to make sure my mom is getting the attention she needs. There truly are many people I want to thank for the continued support they are showing our family. And I couldnt think of a better way them leaving a 5 star review. BEACON HARBOR REVIEW Since my arrival here (May 24, 2024), at Beacon Harbor, I have been more than impressed with both the facility an the staff. In my six weeks stay i have had the opportunity to meet and had gotten to know almost all of my care givers on a very personal bases. One of the things the impressed me from the beginning is for Alex and her welcoming team met me at the hospital to explain to me what to expect once i arrived at BH. These are my constructive criticism and still I understand some of them maybe due to budget. 1. Housekeeping can stand to be vastly improved with bed changes, bathroom cleaning, floor cleaned daily. 2. Food is never hot by the time it is served. Mainly breakfast is delivered cold 3. There is a long wait for an attendance to show up after the patient s alarm is turn on. 4. The Weeknd staff seems to be on under trained and unconcerned.

This rehab center is Awful. The Physical Therapist are great. But the staff itself is horrible. I am a 67 year old paralyzed patient. They get upset if you ask to be cleaned or changed. When you call for them ..they take forever to answer and are rude like youre just some old person without any thought or consideration. This is unexceptable. I will get with my PCP and family and choose a better option.

Recently my wife, Ann, admitted her mom, Blanche, to the rehab care at Beacon Harbor. We would like to give extra recognition to her rehab specialist, Matt and George, along with their team. We also want to recognize Stephanie and Leigh-Ann, the aids taking care of her. They were outstanding. Last but not least we want to recognize Alex, Amber and Kellie for their administrative help all through the process. We could see that all of these were full of love and compassion for Anns mother.

From 5 pm on there s nobody answering the phone I tried several times and it s always the same, called for two hours one night on and off and no answer. I called to check up on my sister yesterday before 5 pm and got put to the nurses station and the phone rang for 15 mins no answer I couldn t get a hold of my sister because wasn t answering her phone and she died in there last night They found her the corner when they went to make rounds. This place has been my biggest nightmare since she went in a month ago.

My mother hasn t even been here 1 week and I m ready to move her. I don t know how they have 5 stars with Medicare?!? They rarely check on my mother and they have residents asking for help constantly. My mother is left to sit in a wet diaper for 8-15hr intervals! 15hrs Sunday! So horrible! The worst of all 3 nursing homes we have been too! And I thought the others were bad and it couldn t get worse but boy was I wrong! I know this because we have a ring camera and it happened again today 5/9 after her first shower in 5 days she hasn t been changed for 12hrs. I m appalled at the lack of care here! Thankfully I found a better home for my mom, where she actually gets to choose from a menu! Wow what a luxury compared to the horrible food they provided here. We were only here 12 days, which was too long because the best diaper changing time was 7hrs but the average was 12hrs. Blatant Neglect! Oh and the wifi is terrible here! I had to buy a hot spot device to get the ring camera to work which I highly recommend to anyone with a relative in any nursing home so you have proof of the neglect.

Update: the marketing person called because I badmouthed them on Facebook. I know its just silly and stupid of me but I thought the staff might notice a normally active man laying in bed with diarrhea for days. And look into the cause. And call a doctor? This past week my husband has had diarrhea frequently. Because of that he didnt want me to come by. I found out they havent been giving him any medication for it. Much less consulted a doctor. I called and first was transferred. Called back and was hung up on. Then when the phone was answered the woman I spoke with condescended to go check on him. But told me he hadnt pushed his call light so when she didnt see it on earlier she didnt bother. She says she will now. Ok I get it, no one there cares.

Don t know how there is five star reviews here. It has been a nightmare to try and get ahold of anyone on the phone. When someone picks up to transfer I end up on hold forever. My dad has been in there for a week and I have had one of my four requests for return phone calls. He went from hospital to Beacon Harbor since he was recovering from Pneumonia. They put him in isolated room for a week and now he has covid. So far the experience has not been good for my dad or for getting ahold of nurses there. I was informed yesterday they now can not find his iPhone anywhere or his charger. Tried to contact someone again today and was put on hold again with no answer. I live out of state and I would not recommend Beacon Harbor with the experience I have had so far. My father is currently there, if things change I will adjust my review.

Please dont spend one minute considering this facility for any kind of care. They do not give you the time and care you need. I am here at this facility now and its been a week since Ive had a shower. They never responded to any call for any assistance quickly. The response time is usually 15 to as long as 36 minutes. Ive come real close to using the bathroom on myself. They allow their techs to talk to you in an unprofessional way. Ive been told I was faking to do it myself. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was a very bad choice on my part.

We had a family member here for rehab services and were extremely pleased with his care. The entire staff were great in their diligence to assist him with his rehabilitation. George and Quan were exceptional. Our only complaint is the discharge, we received some papers but very little instruction, we were told a wheelchair was ordered, we followed-up at least 7 times. He is 2 months discharged and he still does not have a wheelchair, he is in a borrowed one. We were told this week upon discharge he should have received a gait belt to which he did not. This was the only area that did not meet our expectations. Thank you for the work you do and for taking care of our family member.

My grandmother was moved to this facility after having hip replacement, I came to visit from out of state on Saturday. I am definitely not impressed at all .I only saw one 1 nurse in her area, who was working her tail off and very nice ,I might add. I only saw 1 aide ,no one come to check on her, my grandmother has to stay in bed. Not enough employees to take care of your loved ones. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE

We moved my mom to Beacon Harbor in December 2021. She had been in another home and constantly mentioned how unhappy she was. Since moving to BH, she seems happy. Content. She participates in activities there. When we visit, she articulates her happiness with BH and participates in conversation with us. She laughs and jokes. Her level of cognitive ability has dramatically increased since moving there and we are so grateful for the level of care and compassion she receives from every level. When we go for walks, she stops to hug the staff - and they hug her back!!! Thank you, Beacon Harbor and all the staff, for giving us back our mom - for however long that may be!

My grandmother recently moved to Beacon Harbor after some issues at her previous assisted living facility. The difference in her is unbelievable. She is happier, more alert and what we thought was her dementia/alzheimers was actually identified as her being overly medicated. She has a roommate here and just seems overall so much happier. This, on top of the amazing staff, nurse manager and case workers gives my family so much peace knowing how well cared for she is. No one wants to have to get this kind of help for a loved one, but knowing theyre loved and taken care of makes the journey much easier. Thank you to Don and all of his amazing staff!!!

We moved our mom to Beacon Harbor a few months ago from an assisted living facility. The change in Mom has been remarkable! They found her the perfect roommate and Mom has never been happier. My dads in there, and its a pretty nice place. The thing I liked most about it was IT DIDNT HAVE that nursing home smell!! It is a little deceiving; in that it looks beautiful on the outside, pretty nice in the main building areas, BUT... the rooms look like a combination of a rundown hospital & a cheap motel (the rooms even had there own little wall A/C & heater that you have complete control over -- like a cheap motel -- I liked that)! And I will say even though the beds are typical medical beds, the mattress was comfy (there is an extra bed in his room since w/ COVID each patient gets their own room - for safety, obviously )! And I have a HORRIBLE back (2 surgeries & 40+ spinal procedures )... I REALLY enjoyed laying on the extra bed while I was spending time with my dad. They seem to take pretty good care of my dad, so I would recommend it for someone looking for a place for their loved ones!

Greatest team of HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS EVER ASSEMBLED! Last there in July for COPD AND DDD-Degerative Disks for physical therapy and Breathing Treatments. Everyone will know your name and you theirs by time you leave. Greatest views of lake and extremely serene watching fishermen drift by and party boats, especially on tournament day with wrap around back porches and gardens on inside around gazebo surrounded by family of rabbits. I have worked at this facility for 3.5 years now and I love it. Since we became Beacon Harbor Healthcare and Rehabilitation, it has been AMAZING. I have been a nurse for over 24 years and this has been one of my all time favorite places to work. I have built a network of friends and co-workers that I am so proud of. We have top notch staff and our therapy department is out of this world. Our view of the lake is astounding. I would strongly recommend our facility for long term care, short term care and short term care converting to long term care. We have a great business office that can assist with all your financial questions and concerns. Our nursing staff is dedicated to making your loved one feel comfortable and right at home.

We moved my mother-in-law into Beacon Harbor in late February, just two weeks before the virus hit. They treated her like family from day #1, tending to her every need. From making sure she was making friends to ensuring she was pleased with her meals, we couldn t ask for more. They developed strong bonds with her while we were still able to visit, which really made things better during the virus lock-out. In addition to the one-on-one personal attention they give her, they ve been awesome in keeping us well informed, even bringing tablets to her room so she could FaceTime with us. The other great thing they did was a drive-by parade to let the residents know they were not forgotten. We can t say enough good things about this facility and the staff.

Beacon Harbor has done a great job taking care of my mother, especially during the pandemic. Even though we were not allowed in, we have a great care friend in Kim, who is assigned to correspond with the family and send pictures. Also, they arranged video chats with family members. The staff held off the pandemic as long as they could, however acted swiftly when it arrived in the facility. There is a great nursing staff and Matt is a caring director. I know it is difficult to place a love one in a care center, however they have done a great job with my mom.

My mother has been at this wonderful place for over 2 years now. It has been such a blessing to know that she s there safe and HAPPY! I was so worried that she would feel abandoned, but it has been the exact opposite! They are her family, and they treat her like their own. There is no other place that a loved one belongs! And a HUGE shout out for Amber and all of the staff!! We love you amazing individuals!

I have been here since the take over on Dec.1st 2019 and each day I learn something new, I couldnt be more proud to be apart of such a great team as here. During our Covid outbreak we all rally together and pushed through the hard times and now we are Covid Free.. This is a great place to call home for anyone we have staff that truly cares and goes over and beyond what is expected of their job duties to make this a great place and the bonus here is we are right on the lake and lots of our residents get to enjoy the view!

My husband was there for 16 days for inpatient rehab. The therapy staff is wonderful. We had some issues initially with medication management but those were resolved. Manny the DOR on the 300 hall was very helpful. The social worker, Karen, was very helpful setting up home health nursing and PT post discharge. My husband and I noticed repetitive breakfast choices and sometimes the food was not hot. However, I recommend Beacon Harbor for your family members inpatient rehab.
