Divorces are hard even more so when you feel isolated as non custodian parent . You can feel as though no one is helping you and you have been left behind. Shirley and Amanda help put my mind at ease with solid advice and guidance. Divorce can also be so expensive and take a very long time which can add to the stress. Shirley and Amanda were always honest and worked very hard for me in my case and left a lasting impression on me. I don t have a very nice computer so most of my business was conducted through my phone which is so convenient. I was also against an online video meditation but quickly changed my mind as we went through it(the meditation from my home was great). Shirley Southerland is one of the best family law attorneys that I have had the pleasure to work with. Shirley has been my rock through it all! From the first meeting she has walked me through what to expect and what my options were. She has had to deal with multiple opposing counsels and every time she has sought justice for me and my children. We have been in a custody battle since 2010. When I use the term battle it is not lightly. Sparing blames and details, I will share that I ve had to deal with three judges and three attorneys (personally). In all of this, and as a parent wanting equalized rights and time, I have also had my time and rights with my sons minimized more and more over and over amid unsubstantiated lies on the stand, sexist remarks off record by the bench, and the like until Shirley. My sons finally got a choice and say as well as their own support after harsh rebukes. I will forever be indebted and count her (as well as Amanda) as a friend.

Nobody ever plans on going through a divorce. When it happens it can be overwhelming at first. Things can get emotional very easily, to the point where productive communication can become challenging. Mrs. Sutherland was able to help me walk through this challenging time and reach a peaceful resolution. Mrs. Sutherland and her staff kept up with all of the important dates and documents that needed to be submitted. This really took a lot of stress off of me. They would notify me when there were important dates, and made sure that I didnt miss any of the court appearances. We were able to do all of the meetings through Zoom so I didnt have to appear at court in person.
