So irritated. Ordered ice cream for date night through Uber. My ice cream was wrong, I ordered cookie dough ice cream with extra chocolate chip cookie dough which you have to pay an extra fee for. I received vanilla cream with extra chocolate chips which is definitely what I didn t order. Literally a waste of money, if that s what I wanted that s what I would have ordered and paid for to begin with. Obviously whoever made orders tonight on 07/19 isn t detail oriented.

first time here & mostly likely the last. service was horrible, one of the employees were complaining about who knows what while the other was doing all the work. customer service was not it. I wasn t even done giving them my order and they rushed me to the register to pay. when I received my order it was basically melted and my cone was stale. i m disappointed because i ve heard great things about this place just to be let down.

Our experience was terrible. Two of the three teenagers working there were acting like they were at a slumber party instead of work. I witnessed one of them, a blond girl, grab the ice cubes for my smoothie with her bare hands twice. Then as she brought it to the register, she and the dark skinned girl man handled my smoothie, giggling as they discussed wether it looked like a smoothie or not. After a bit, they laughed and pointed at the edge of the smoothie dripping. Then they BOTH ran their finger around the edge of my glass, laughed some more and then offered the drink to me. At that point, I refused to take the drink and told them I no longer wanted it. They seemed confused by this and offered to make me another one. I politely declined, considering the process probably wouldnt change. After reading the other reviews of this store, there seems to a pattern with the same immature employees. Bad for business to see they still have a job. One employee, taller than the others seemed to snap out of her slumber party mode and actually made my husbands ice cream and didnt charge us for it. This also seemed to be the popular place for young teenage girls too come in and sit on the floor to charge their phones. As we waited, two different groups of young girls came in to charge their phones and congregate on the floor. Obviously, whoever owns this store has no idea how to run a business.

Run by stuck up, entitled 17yr olds, only 2, absolutely no adults, I will say that the manager maybe, the dark skinned girl with wavy hair on a ponytail, was ok and better than the white girl. But still, On top of being stuck up, little sarcastic teens, they also STEAL. Me and my friends went yesterday, October 24, at around 7:20-7:30pm and bought 3 ice creams, 2 large, and a medium, when we payed, the white girl said it was $28. And some cents, I payed 20,and my friend payed 20,yet she only gave my friend about 1.60 back, we were careless and I didnt know my friend gave a 20 too so I thought a dollar was the actual change. Until later on when he realized I gave a 20 and he gave a 20 yet he only got $1.60.and its not like the girl did that by accident, she knew well I gave a 20,since she made a sarcastic remark about 20 not being the total we had to pay(when all she had to do was wait for my friend to pay the 2nd part). It was stupid on our part to not check right away, but its also incredible how that girl just straight up stole from a costumer. Dont recommend, and if youre that desperate, check and always get your receipt.

went in on september 9 around 9pm. waited 20+ minutes to order and there was only a couple people in front of us. workers were messing around and didnt seem to know what they were doing. gave us the icecream without asking if we wanted any add ins and then we waited another 10 minutes to pay because no one was at the register. they claimed they were out of a lot of flavors but i have a feeling they just didnt want to replace them. the one girl employee walked out into the lobby ignoring the people in line and proceeded to hang out and talk to her friends. unless they fix their staff i wont be back

Good selection of flavors and toppings. Giving 1 star because of the experience & poor customer service. Its run by overwhelmed, overworked, entitled and underpaid teens with a manager whos the same age and is also learning the job with them at the same time. They close at 11pm on Saturdays but at 10:24pm on 6/24/23 they decided to turn off the open sign and post one of their own people outside the door to tell guests to stop coming in because theyre done for the day. Fortunately, we got in just before they stopped accepting people in, we were the last ones in line. It was quite a long line but we all thankfully fit inside the store. The line died down around 10:43pm and guests were still trying to come in but the person posted outside kept deterring them. I got a small sweet cream with roasted almonds and i asked for waffle bits but the girl with the fly-swatter looking lashes said they were out...there was a container of waffle bits literally out on the counter but i guess she didnt want to put effort into opening the jar because it might ruin her nails....

We always enjoy Cold Stone regardless of the location. However, at this location be prepared for long lines. Yesterday (Saturday) we stood in line for at least 40 minutes. Give yourself plenty of time if youre going to the movies because you cant eat the icecream in the theater.

When we came, it was extremely hot outside but they weren t very busy. But what drew me in was the plant-based ice cream sign that was on the window. I love plant-based ice cream :-) but when we went in the stone was not cold enough to keep the ice cream from melting. So it was melting very very fast. They even were giving people s ice cream in larger bowls than what they ordered so that the ice cream wouldn t melt over the side because it was melting so fast. We gave it a four out of five because the ice cream overall was OK. But it did not get a five out of five because I don t really think they were prepared for the heat & I do not think that $16 was a fair price for two small bowls of ice cream. Not by any means.

Normally, our experiences at Coldstone have been wonderful- this location was nothing but gross. The trash was overflowing, (another customer had to ask a worker to empty it so he could throw his stuff away) the tables were dirty and napkins were all over the floor. My daughter and I were eating our ice cream when the girl behind the counter yelled- oh my god, where did my bandaid go? Her and the male worker proceeded to look in and around the ice cream display yelling and joking about where it could be. She made my daughter s ice cream and she was so worried there was a bandaid in her ice cream she couldn t eat. We threw away our stuff and left. If I was the manager there I would take a real hard look at the lack of training and cleanliness of my establishment.

I never liked going here when visiting the harbor. There should be better dessert places by now. Always a long line, unhelpful service, the place is always dirty or trashed inside, and the ice cream is not great. This past weekend, my mom went to order what looked like a pineapple smoothie or milkshake. She got one for herself and one for my sister. They have been having stomach problems ever since.

We drove 45 minutes out of our way to get Coldstone tonight and nothing in our order was right. I ordered a Love It Mint Mint Chocolate Chocolate Chip which is suppose to have brownies in it. I watched the guy make it without brownies and then put it in the cup. It was way too small to fill the cup so he went and grabbed more plain mint ice cream and plopped it on top. When he handed it to me I asked if it had brownies in it and he said yes. When I left and started eating it, no brownies. My husbands order was also made wrong. Next time I ll go out of my way to go to a different Coldstone.

Gave this spot a chance today since it was the closest coming from Mesquite. There was only one family ahead of me and the wait wasn t long at all. There was one employee working on a cake, another looking along, one employee was in the back and then there was one taking ice cream orders she seemed annoyed that we had orders for her to take. I had three orders and the one employee took all three orders then put all the ice cream on the cold slate and then readied my toppings for each other. As she worked on getting all the toppings for each one, the others started to melt all over the slate. She seemed very annoyed to be working on our order. I had asked for two waffle bowls and she verbally confirmed, but put my order in a cup. The ice cream was so melted, she couldn t scoop it up, so she wiped it into the cup instead. By the time she gave me the first order, the cup was sloppy from the melting ice cream, there was no waffle in it and a soupy ice cream mess. I declined the order and left. Very disappointed, poor service and product.

Probably one of the worst customer service experiences Ive endured lately. Whoever is training the new girl today is specifically the one Im speaking about. She was not friendly or welcoming when ringing my order up (something youd normally expect to be overly dramatized when training a new employee). When I came back in a few minutes later, I told her I wanted to ask about my receipt, she just completely ignored me on purpose and continued to (poorly) train the new girl. Another group of about 7 girls walked in while I was waiting, and she never acknowledged them either. They waited around for a bit, but nobody came to help them either, so they left. Finally, one of the other girls standing around watching her came over and explained that I had been rung up correctly and apologized. At least she was nice. However, I was already annoyed, because when I originally came in and ordered a milkshake for my daughter, they were out of milk (which I feel like cant possibly even be true), so they couldnt make a milkshake. Then I was charged $4.52 for the tiniest cone with one scoop of chocolate ice cream on top. That was the reason I came back to question my receipt. There were actually two separate charges - one charge for a kids CYO and a separate charge for the cone itself. Its absolutely insane. I called Braums after I left just to ask what they charge for the same thing. I was told a junior cone at Braums would be $1.39 for the exact same product - literally 30% of the price Cold Stone charges. Not only that, Ive never had a bad experience from rude employees and their ice cream is better, so well go there from now on. I will also continue to tell everyone I know who might be in the Cold Stone Rockwall area to avoid it, which all could have been avoided if I was treated with such hostility and rudeness.

Literally 4 employees standing behind the counter talking and cutting up and doing nothing to help customers - in fact we had to ask to be helped (not even sure the guy that did help us was an actual employee). We had to remind the guy serving us to mix in the the add-ins first and not just sprinkle on top. The entire place is incredibly dirty - the floors in front of the counter are stickier than a movie theater; all the windows, doors, surfaces are covered with fingerprints, gunk, etc. Will NOT be returning - it s disgusting.

He specifically requested the Signature Cake Batter Layers Cake. Unfortunately, this store doesnt carry that specific Signature Cake, so I decided to order a custom cake using the exact same ingredients listed. The only difference is that I ordered a round cake, requested cookie dough toppers and Happy Birthday written on the top. On Sunday, the day before I was supposed to pick up the cake, I received a phone call telling me that they were out of yellow cake. I had to choose between chocolate and red velvet. Of course, my husband only likes yellow/vanilla cake, but he went ahead and said just do chocolate. When they called, nothing was offered for the inconvenience. On Monday, the day of cake pick up, I received another phone call telling me that they were out of the white fluffy icing. I had to choose between oreo or chocolate ganache icing. I told the employee on the phone that I already had to make another modification to the cake the previous day due to the store being out of the ingredients. Her response was, Well, weve just been really busy and these ingredients are also used for the normal ice cream walk in orders. I told her that it was unacceptable given that I ordered the cake a week prior. When I arrived to pick up the cake, I was very disappointed. It was quite possibly the saddest cake that Ive ever seen. It looked absolutely nothing like the picture of the cake online and the Happy Birthday written on the top is the worst icing writing I believe Ive ever seen. Still no discounts or future store credit was offered for their lack of inventory management at the store. I tried to call the store this morning to talk to a manager or to leave a message for the manager to call me back when the store is open. I was immediately directed to the voice mailbox which said that the mailbox was full. Clearly this store does not know how to appropriately manage their inventory in order to fulfill all pre-orders placed. Further, they appear to lack in proper customer service. While we will most likely visit the store again for a quick cup of ice cream if we happen to be at the Harbor, we will NEVER order a cake from this store ever again. I now owe my husband a real birthday cake in the near future.

Honestly I am giving this place a five star review because someone called Perpetual gave it 1 star three times because they screwed his order up on his birthday. He went on and on about their incompetence and how they messed up his birthday ice cream. HOW OLD ARE YOU? Mistakes happen, friend. Unprepared and Incompetent. We have now been charged for five small cakes, when we only received one. I ordered three small cakes for my son s birthday party, placed online through the Cold Stone website a week before the event. On May 14th my husband went to pick the cakes up, about an hour after the scheduled pick-up time, and found out that they only had one of the cakes in-store/ready. Since they had not called to let us know the cakes were not ready/available, we no longer had time to go to a different location, and the cashier told him that the original order had not been charged yet, and that it would only be for the 1 cake he actually received. After reviewing his credit card statement, we saw that he had been charged for all 3 cakes from the online order, so I called the following Monday to speak with a manager about getting the two cakes that weren t available refunded. I left a message to get called back which I wasn t (not sure what was happening with those messages I was leaving) so on my third call to the store I finally managed to get a manager on the phone. She seemed to be aware of the situation and told me she would handle it. However, what she actually did was charge us for two additional small cakes (I assume she was trying to refund them?). So at this point we have still not received a refund which now needs to be for four cakes. The ice cream and cakes were delicious, which is why we picked them for the party, but if you don t have flexibility in what you actually receive despite ordering early, several weeks to try and track down a competent worker who understands how to work the computer billing system, and extra space on your credit card statement, I d recommend going anywhere else.

Location, location, location! The ice cream cupcakes were great, but a lot better eaten with a spoon to get all the textures and flavors. The ice cream sandwiches were pretty standard fare. But the setting in the harbor district looking over lake Ray Hubbard makes this a very worthwhile ice cream stop, although more interesting ice cream is easily found in the city. Had I not had gift cards, I probably wouldnt have picked it. Will explore the harbor district again, but not for a chain snack.

Placed an order online for a cake and it was perfect in every way (my pictures do not do this cake justice)! Looked just like the image advertised online, whoever did the happy birthday writing did fantastic because the lettering was gorgeous. Taste was delicious! Not an ounce of dry cake (which was my fear since you have to freeze it) and the ice cream to icing ratio was spot on perfect. I have never had an ice cream cake from cold stone before but heck yes do I plan to get more. Order was ready when i came to pick it up and the employee that brought it out to me was very sweet and polite. Thank you Cold Stone employees for making my birthday end on a sweet note!

Horrible place, avoid if at all possible. I wish I could give this a negative rating. Havent had Cold Stone in years, 30 mile one way trip from me so about 60 miles round trip, but my birthday is tomorrow so my GF got me a specialized cake for it. I go and pick up, return home only to find they gave me someone else s cake with a name not even remotely close to my name that I told them. Their incompetence and inability to listen to a name and grab the correct order his sheer staggering, especially considering there was 0 people in the establishment at that time. Pure incompetence and laziness. Their solution? Refund only. 0 cares for my time, gas miles, and everything else to get it. Thank you for completely ruining a special treat for a birthday Cold Stone. Everyone, stay away from this place unless you want utter disappointment. ** Update** Went back to there, in extreme irritation but was calm when going in. Not one single apology was given by any of the 3 girls working there, not one. No sorry for your inconvenience or sorry for our mistake or anything remotely close. I said I would appreciate a gift card for my time and gas, etc., and they looked at me like I was crazy. This is the worst group of people working I have ever seen in a retail store. Nickels worth of free advice to the owner/manager, fire these 3 people. Not only are they incompetent and lazy, but lack any resemblance of customer service. Horrible experience. We finished watching a movie and decided to get some Ice cream before we head home. It was around 9:40 and meanwhile we waited for them to take their sweet time making our ice cream it got to be around 9:55pm. We sat down to eat our ice cream and ARNOLD comes out and kicks everyone out the lobby because they were closing. Extremely rude guy, as we told him it was rude for him to kick us out he acted like he didn t hear anything we said. He had one of the worst attitudes I ve experience with a person. We asked for a manager and they said they did not have a manager. Never heard of 16-18 year old kids being left alone without an adult manager to take responsibility for a store. Cold stone you definitely need to do better than this. Situations like these makes your customers not want to go back. Get some new employees and definitely tell ARNOLD to fix his attitude that is not going to get him anywhere other than cost you to loose business.

Staff looked at customers displeased when asked for cup of water. In place that is hot and humid, water should be complimentary with happy to help assistance. Y all!!! All I can say is this place is TRASH!!! I ordered a ice cream cone and instead I got a milk shake in a cone!!! The employees were rude & I get they are kids but do parents these days not teach their kids common decency or flat out respect, is it not common sense to be DECENT! The female teenager literally threw it in the cup as I m watching wide eyed and shrugged her shoulders, I go to pay and the male teenager didn t tell me how much it even was, I just stood there waiting while he was off in lalaland. If I could give this place a negative star I absolutely would. Now, I m not normally one to immediately go jump and bash a place based off one experience but this place topped the cake at horribleness!! Do not waste your time or money here.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Placed a phone order for a basic ice cream cake for the next day to be picked up at noon. Went there at noon and they didn t know what I was talking about and stated they didn t have my cake ready and they called the day before telling me they didn t have cheesecake and weren t able to make my cake but weren t able to reach me. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL!!!!! Lady then tells me there is nothing they can do, then tells me I can pick a cake from the display, THEN tells me they have cheesecake but it won t be ready until 5 hours after the normal pick up time. Once I stated NO and I had a deadline to meet they said they can have it done by 1:30-2:00. We agreed. Came back and unfortunately i was displeased with the outcome. Graham cracker on the side was slipping off, icing was done poorly oh and they misspelled the name on the cake. IDIOTS. I SPELLED THE NAME FOR THEM. I had no choice but to take the cake because we needed a cake for an event BUT terrible service, quality, and customer service. NEVER going back again.
