Terrible Customer Service at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Rockwall I stayed at this hotel recently, and while I expected a comfortable stay, I was met with terrible customer service, particularly during breakfast. This morning, I arrived a few minutes before breakfast was officially served, wearing my scrubs and carrying my baby in a car seat. I politely asked the woman setting up breakfast if I could grab a muffin. Her response was shockingly rude. She looked me up and down, sighed loudly, and with a clear attitude said, I have to get you one from the back, even though the muffins were directly in front of her as she was setting up the rest of the food. It was clear she just didn t want to help. I ended up telling her to forget it and left for work feeling extremely frustrated. For a stay that cost me over $500, I expected much better treatment. As a paying guest, I shouldn t be made to feel like an inconvenience, especially when I made a simple request. The lack of courtesy and professionalism is unacceptable, and I will not be staying at this location again

Run!!! This hotel management team lacks hospitality and professionalism. From the moment that I walked in I was being told of everything that I did incorrectly. I hope that their surveillance has audio, because the it will be subpoenaed. Not sure if my interaction was so unpleasant due to being black, a woman, or a military veteran. But after being asked twice if I still wanted the room (while my credit card sat on the counter) I asked them to just book the damn room please in a calm tone. The GM became so iterate that the assistant had to tell him to calm down which can be seen and heard on their surveillance. He told me not to use profanity in his hotel and then cancelled my room. The assistant said that my room was being cancelled due to me being aggressive. It can be observed in surveillance that I was far from aggressive. However, the GM has his hand stretched out towards me across the counter. I felt threatened and unsafe and know that he wouldnt have carried on in this way if my husband was standing there. I have reached out to corporate and my attorney. I pray the th GM Don has an attorney in retainer because he will need it messed with the right one. What he didnt know was that my cousin is a VP at the Dallas Morning News. This interaction will definitely be shared.

Amazing. 5 nights with 2 dogs. Smooth check-in with friendly staff. Large room with sofa and kitchenette including cooktop, apartment sized fridge, dishwasher and cookware/plates. Very comfy bed & pillows. Closet for bags & stuff. Huge, well lit bathroom/shower. Large, grassy areas on both sides of hotel with pet pickup stations. Access to both (and elevators/rooms and fitness center) from covered parking garage. Just a short elevator ride to take the dogs out. Short trips to literally everything, Walmart across the road and stores and restaurants lining the 30. Texas Roadhouse just up the hill walking distance. Breakfast selection was the best of our trip and very friendly and attentive staff. Checkout was smooth and with the covered parking garage, weather wasnt a concern. While a perfect trip in my eyes, a few things. Towel racks were lacking given the non-daily housekeeping. It would have been nice to schedule the housekeeping at check-in, to know exactly when to have the dogs out of the room (we did address that with the very friendly front desk). We will be back! Rooms: Ours was a king bedroom with sofa sitting area and desk. Kitchenette had good sized fridge, sink, dishwasher, coffee pot, microwave, and cooktop. Plus pots, pans, cups, plates and silverware. Bed was super comfy and blackout blinds did their job. Very quiet room, didnt hear sounds from hall nor dogs when out of the room. The bathroom had a small towel rack near the sink and a multi bar rack where the new towels hung, but no where to hang towels to dry. Plus airflow through the bathroom wasnt great and always somewhat humid. Walkability: Just the Texas Roadhouse in walking distance. Walmart and a few restaurants are a bit further (more than walking one end of Walmart to the other) especially if carrying purchases. Food and drinks: Complementary breakfast served daily with a wide variety of items. Restaurants within minutes of the hotel including a Texas Roadhouse a short walk up the hill. Super Walmart across the street for grocery & kitchen needs (no need to pack anything in). Up and down the 30 all sorts of restaurants & shops. Check out Joe Willys Market & Grill for awesome burgers & toppings. Noteworthy details: Covered parking garage under the hotel with quick, covered access to elevators (and pool and fitness room) through carded door. At night, lighting is motion activated. Two dog stations, one just outside the West garage entrance and the other in the green space North East of the East garage entrance. Dogs enjoyed walks around the property, then up the ramp and around the businesses, then off-property to the West and down the hill into some woods. Very clean property in this regard, with several families with pets. Caution with the glass shower wall, we put up some tape after the dog walked into it. Used the same tape for the Pet In Room card on the door knob as it kept falling off. Large closet held our bags and shopping out of sight. Cabinets for groceries.

5-Star Review for TownePlace Suites Dallas Rockwall My family and I checked into the TownePlace last Saturday and were immediately greeted by the most professional customer service representatives. Our room wasn t immediately ready, so they upgraded us to a room with a kitchenette! The hotel is conveniently located next to Walmart and has a Texas Roadhouse within walking distance of the parking lot. True to the saying, Everything is done BIGGER and BETTER in Texas, the Breakfast Team ensured breakfast each day was delicious, hot, and varied. The team kept the dining room spotless, the serving dishes full, and the Dark Roast Coffee, which I mistook for Starbucks, was the highlight of my mornings! As a military family, we were notified that our household goods would be delivered on Thursday when our checkout was Wednesday. Despite thinking the hotel was fully booked, the staff allowed us to extend our stay and keep the same room. This compassionate gesture nearly brought me to tears! I ve stayed in amazing hotels worldwide (London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Okinawa, Washington, D.C., Charleston...), and this hotel ranks in the top 1%! I highly recommend TownePlace Suites Dallas Rockwall, which has set an amazing tone for this move! Rooms: The rooms with the double beds are spacious and kept immaculately clean. Nearby activities: There is a Walmart near the hotel and a Texas Roadhouse. Noteworthy details: The Complimentary Breakfast and the water offered throughout the day (infused with lemons and oranges) was a refreshing delight.

Rooms were not as advertised..sofa bed is actually just a sofa or uncomfortable futon. What would keep me away next time is no insulation between rooms . Just the talking and TV next door makes resting impossible and I travel with a noise machine. I travel often for sports and never had such a loud disruptive sleep from normal guests next door.

Had seen the reviews and thought I would be welcomed to a very clean room. When walking into the hotel I saw front desk staff coming from the back pool doors after all of them smoking making the lobby stink of cigarets the manager had a very disgusting attitude. - Room Toilet looked like it wasn t cleaned properly. - Fridge was dirty and horrible and the bottom of it was rusty. - Bed sheets were filled with dust when we asked (the house keeper Manager with the clipboard) if we could have them changed he replied well the cleaner has finished whose going to do it? - Room was dust central, dust had settled everywhere and even after us wiping it off with some baby wipes it would re settle. Under the bed was filthy with dirt and dust looked like it had been forgotten about by the cleaner. - Pillows were in horrible condition. - cooking utensils were all rusty and not washed properly

I have stayed here in the past, however, this recent visit was a terrible experience. Please ensure that your bed comforters and mattress are in good condition. The bed I was sleeping on was horrible and I informed the housekeeper manager and was completely ignored (Fito). They informed me that I would receive full service within two days. In addition, I was informed that a few rooms next to me were infested with roaches, and the door to that room was open. DISGUSTING! Also the walls are very Anti privacy everything can be heard at night .

My house flooded and I spent 8 days here! This is the cleanest hotel that I have stayed at in years! In fact... it is immaculate inside and out! The employees treated us as if we were family! They were all super sweet! Everything was absolutely perfect! I could actually see myself staying here long term! The rooms are very comfy! They have everything you could possibly need in the rooms! Full sized fridge with a freezer! Toaster, stove, can opener, dishes, dishwasher, garbage disposal! Very nice bathroom with rainfall shower head! Outdoors they have 2 very nice barbecue grills (you can cook your own food) and 2 gorgeous fire pits and a swimming pool! I will always stay at TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Rockwall when I am anywhere near here! They made one of the most miserable times of my life enjoyable and relaxing! I am forever grateful to every single person that works there!!! Rooms: Rooms have everything in them you could want/need Nearby activities: Lake Ray Hubbard is a couple blocks away! Safety: Safest town I have ever lived in! Walkability: You could walk to Walmart or a couple of restaurants. You really need a car or ride share! Noteworthy details: I have horrible debilitating OCD about cleanliness! This place made me very, very comfortable!

In fact, the entire staff from the front desk to maintenance is exceptional. It s hard to believe this is a 2 star property because everyone I encountered offered 5 star service and attention to detail. The room was immaculate. The location is perfect (right off of the interstate and less than 10 minutes from the harbor). I d return to this location without hesitation. I highly recommend this property.

Came to town for a work trip. I stay at hotels all over the country and this one was perfect! I wish they were all this comfortable, friendly and well appointed. I had a king room with a kitchen and a huge balcony. Every detail, from the towel rack in the bathroom to the lights in the closet was perfectly thought out. The hotel felt open and welcoming with its patios and public areas for hanging out and not being trapped in a room. I had arrived early and was able to enjoy the veranda with wifi and sofas to enjoy the beautiful view. I cant say enough nice things about this property except I wish all hotels were all this amazing. I honestly didnt want to leave.

During my recent stay here, I was pleased with the room I checked into. I gave it very low stars due to the rude ambiance when I checked in and the fact that I was not prioritized. The guys at the front desk said, Give us a few minutes since they were going to have a smoke break. The whole staff in the lobby went outside including the GM and AGM. As I was sleeping, the housekeepers kept knocking on my door at 10A.M., asking when I would be departing. Aside from that, I kept hearing the housekeeper and the housekeeper manager having a conversation across the hallway. The Housekeeper manager was also extremely rude (Fito) not wanting me to give me any services for that day, I said thats fine and had asked for new towels he said he would be back later and give me some but he never did. Later that day I saw him in the lobby by the Laundry room and had asked for towels and he said No until I get Service.

I came to Rockwall for a wedding and our group stayed at this TownePlace Suites. We were offered a great rate for a suite with a kitchen. We were working with Lisa Crawford who was a delight! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and helpful with any questions we had. Check in was smooth and the staff seemed prepared and aware of our group and treated us as if we were VIPs. We even received a cute personalized welcome bag with a dog blanket and treats for our pup! Lisa also gave us a few dining recommendations to hold us over since we would be there for a few days and included a few discount cards for Texas Roadhouse which was within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel was very clean and it looks as if it just opened! The housekeeping staff is clearly attentive to each room that they clean because our whole group was impressed. They offer a great variety at breakfast and the breakfast attendant, Anna, was such a sweetheart and very attentive to everyone. All around 10/10. I come to this area pretty often and have found my go-to location to use in the future.

My husband and I have stayed in many hotels traveling for business and pleasure. We have rarely experienced or felt as welcomed as we did at this hotel. We were looking for a hotel for our out of town guests to stay for our wedding. From the moment we met with the Sales Coordinator, Lisa Crawford, we felt that she understood our needs and that our guests would be taken care of. From the moment we and our guests checked in, to the time everyone checked out, Lisa, Anna and Troy made us feel as if we were home. Our group was able to gather the day after the wedding to hang out and watch football in the breakfast area. The staff was courteous the entire time and helpful in showing us how to work the grills to BBQ. All of our guests enjoyed the cleanliness of their rooms and the way the staff provided them with the gift bags we had set up for them. Lisa even made our honeymoon suite extra special with a small goody bag and paper heart shaped petals on our bed! Marriott should be proud of the staff at this hotel for doing such a great job representing their name. Well Done, 10+++! Rooms: Clean, modern, spacious.

Whatever they are paying that gentleman, it isnt near enough, as he really made this location stand apart from other Marriott properties I have stayed with. He even was able to make the boilerplate stuff entertaining! Rooms: Hotel is an all suite property, so every room has a refrigerator with freezer, stove top, sink and a dishwasher. Nearby activities: Hotel is a short drive to the Rockwall Harbor District and the Downtown area, which is good, considering the traffic in the area is abominable. Safety: Hotel has underground parking lot with cameras and motion sensors lighting. Food and drinks: No restaurant or bar on-site, but you can bring your own libations or have them delivered.

My recent stay at TownePlace in Dallas left me extremely disappointed due to the lack of customer service provided by the front desk receptionist, Anna. Our family had driven down to Dallas early in the morning, and I had called ahead to inquire about the possibility of an early check-in due to our three young children, one of whom is only one year old. When I spoke to Anna on the phone, she initially mentioned that she needed to check for room availability. However, instead of providing me with a straightforward answer, she immediately asked for the last name on my reservation, which I provided. It became apparent that she was primarily interested in my Marriott status, as she swiftly informed me that the hotel had been fully booked the previous night and that no rooms would be available until 3 pm. Arriving at the hotel at around 8:15 am, I was surprised to find the parking lot only about 25% occupied, and there were approximately 10-15 people, including children, present during the breakfast service. Later, I overheard a conversation between Anna and another staff member, which seemed to involve the possibility of allowing us to check in earlier. Unfortunately, Anna appeared adamant about making us wait until later, citing our Marriott status as a determining factor. Observing housekeeping going from room to room and cleaning, at around 11 am my husband decided to inquire again about room availability. However, Anna still insisted that no rooms were available and proceeded to explain the different Marriott status levels. My husband then explained that we were only one stay away from returning to our Gold status. Interestingly, during his stay at another Marriott property just two days prior, he was allowed to check in around 10 am without regard to his status. Anna seems to excel in adhering to the rules and regulations, but she lacks greatly in putting the customer first and showing compassion towards their needs. Her insistence on strictly adhering to the check-in time, despite the hotel not appearing to be fully occupied, left a sour taste in our mouths. As a family with young children, we expected a more accommodating and empathetic approach from the front desk staff. The lack of flexibility and compassion demonstrated by Anna was deeply disappointing, and it overshadowed an otherwise pleasant stay at the hotel. I hope that the management of TownePlace addresses this issue and trains their staff, including Anna, in providing better customer service and prioritizing the needs of their guests.

The location is just outside the city, it s about 20 minutes away. Parking is great as well. Underground and above ground parking. Gym was super clean, overall awesome place to stay when visiting Dallas.

Free breakfast and there is a fire bin front of lobby which is saved my life during cold weather in Texas lol I had great time in this hotel such as gym, fire bin and bbq!! The staffs are so friendly and nice. Especially Katy!!!! And I would like to suggest improving soundproof. I can hear kids were screaming, laughing and running upstairs during midnight Others are awesome

This hotel is new, the beds are comfortable, the kitchenette is great. But the walls were the thinnest I ve ever stayed in. I ve stayed in motel 6 s where I don t hear conversations word by word. I bear coughing the next door. The people talking in one room over wasn t yelling. It was a normal conversation. These are quite literally the worst built for absorbing sound. I travel quite frequently for work (platinum with Marriott) so I ve seen several different hotel properties and what is sad is that the staff is great. Breakfast options great. Shower pressure great. I won t stay here again after this. I m so glad I took my ear plugs so I can sleep while I m here. Stay somewhere else. You will hear your neighbors more then any other hotel.

Wow cant say enough about the lady at the front desk what a sweetheart. I just needed to get away for the night and saw this little place. It was perfect, really close to the harbor in Rockwall. When I got there they informed me that they had over booked the king rooms, so I was pleasantly surprised when they upgraded my room,no extra charge of course. Wonderful experience.

It has been a pleasure staying here the last 16 days. The staff has made us feel welcomed, from the front desk to engineering. Some names I would like to specifically recognize are Katy and Michael from the front desk who were more than happy to assist with any requests or questions we had. Russell from engineering was a great conversation and helpful and willing when we needed something fixed. Victor from housekeeping was friendly and professional and there is another gentleman who is extremely warming from housekeeping, but I am forgetting his name. The three ladies who do the breakfast setup, refilling, and cleanup were all very good about keeping the breakfast line stocked. My only single complaint here is that the food really isn t the healthiest of options, but it s free and that counts for something. Lastly, the hotel allows for pets. Make sure you tell them up front. There is a nice little dog area on the garage level of the hotel for allowing the four legged children to relieve themselves. nice 24 hour gym stocked with free weights, weight machine, 3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, and a stationary bike. All in all, a great stay

I booked this hotel for the kitchen and the gym. Kitchen was great, gym was even better. The night front desk guy(Micheal? Blonde, black earrings) was awesome. Even the hotel engineer guy was really nice, so those items alone warrant five stars. That is about where the positives end. The walls are literally paper thin. I could hear the people next to me snoring, the trash truck wakes you up multiple times a week and the road noise is atrocious. The AC does not have a constant fan option so there s no way to drown out any sounds. I have never been in a new hotel THIS LOUD. The staff did see if it was possible to move me but the entire front of the building has the same issue and there were no back rooms. The television kept shutting itself off and the toilet wouldn t stop running without taking the back off and adjusting it. After I was able to get earplugs and sandwich my face between pillows it was pretty comfortable. Still wouldn t stay here again until some stuff gets built in front of it to block out the highway.

The hotel was very modern, and our room was clean when we arrived. We also liked the underground parking, so that we didnt have to unload in the rain. The service, however, was pretty bad. We were there for 4 days, and room service never came. Our garbages were overflowing, and we had no more wash cloths, dish rags, or dishwasher detergent. We put in a request and were asked to go down to pick stuff up. We were told they were completely out of washcloths and dish rags and given hand towels to wash dishes, which was not going to work. The walls are also very thin, so I could easily hear people talking in neighboring rooms. Also, breakfast did not have many options compared to other TownePlace Suites I have stayed at.

Location is okay, There is no indication of the hotel sign near the I-30 merging right near Texas Road House. The Hotel appears secluded behind the Texas Road House. You must almost pass Texas Road House looking far right to see the name illuminated above the Hotel. The S or zigzag payment leads you to the left and backside of restaurant. That would be a flaw of concern. GPS does place you near it. Just a little detail of my observation. Rooms: The pullout sofa could use some more comfortability. Cushion padding for laying down. I could understand the possibility of maintenance upkeep, and hygiene concerns. Nearby activities: Shopping, gaming, eateries, etc. All . Safety: Lighting, Parking, All . Walkability: Hotel, restaurant, and near establishments. All Food and drinks: Hotel food was a little bland, but exceptable with self seasoning and Drinks were good.

This TownePlace Suites by Marriott was excellent. It was built in 2021, so everything is new and in good working order. This is a great option if you are looking for a clean, modern apartment style stay so you can cook your own meals and do your own laundry. We stayed in a king suite and they didnt skimp on the quality of appliances or linens. They will service your room on the 4th day of your stay. The location is very convenient with restaurants and groceries within walking distance. Downtown Dallas is a 20-30 minute drive. The covered parking was a welcome addition in the terrible Texas heat! Laundry was $2 to wash, $2 to dry, and $1 for a pack of powdered laundry detergent. There are 3 washers and 3 dryers (one was out of order). The pool and gym were great as well. Towels and sanitizing wipes are provided in the gym.

My husband and I had an amazing 4 week stay at TownePlace Suites in Rockwall, TX. We did not renew our apartment lease due to us completing our new home build in Florida and waiting on our closing date. We stayed in the 1-bedroom suite. The hotel is new and the suite decor was modern. My husband and I work from home so having separate areas with a desk to work at was convenient. I had a full kitchen with a stove, oven, dishwasher and refrigerator. Onsite laundry room was convenient and which allowed me time to drop a load off go back upstairs attend a conference call and by the time I was finished I was popping the clothes in the dryer. Breakfast onsite was good. Wrapped breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, cereal, milk, yogurt, coffee, and tea. Many amenities in the area: restaurants, target, Walmart, and grocery stores. The staff was amazing and helpful with any questions or needs that I had. One thing that I loved about this hotel it had underground parking. Which I discovered accidently and parked during my entire stay. The hotel location makes it easy to get onto I-30 and go to Plano, Dallas, and or Forney. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

corporate has made some missteps but over all decent experience. When I stayed at this hotel it was less than a month old. Every thing was new and clean. The room I was in was big, I did get a free upgrade because the corporate website overbooked. As a single woman traveling alone, I felt safe. * CONS* *Hard to see room numbers, this hotel was designed with a more modern theme but in doing this they have sacrificed functionality. Room numbers can only be read when standing directly in front of them. They do have a button for visual impared people but it will be loud enough to wake the whole hotel. *Poorly constructed walls. I heard everything all around me. I am not a light sleeper Im former Army and have slept through artillery so for me to be hearing another rooms news blasting at 6:00 a.m. tells you the walls are thin. This isnt a deal breaker for me because I can sleep anywhere but for people with kids its something you should know. *Evil alarm clock. I like to sleep in total darkness and even when you turn off the night light on the alarm clock it is so bright it illuminates the entire room. I couldnt figure out how to unplug it so the best I could do with shoving it under the bed. *Staff issues. Upon checking in the front desk asked everyone in line why they were there. The guy ahead of me said business and they responded well what type of business? I think its really invasive to ask a guest why they are there and to force them to answer. And while morning shift was very nice and cheerful night shift was more of the sarcastic standoffish variety I wouldnt say rude just very short with you. This isnt a deal-breaker for me but I think long-term it might hurt this hotel. I shouldnt feel more welcome leaving the hotel than I feel checking in. *PROS* *THE CONDITIONER BOTTLE WAS TWICE THE SIZE OF THE SHAMPOO BOTTLE, this might not seem relevant to men but ladies with long hair will understand how amazing this is. The shampoo and conditioner were also Paul Mitchell super conditioning and felt really great on my hair. Most people will probably bring their own but since everything I own just packed in the back of my car I was not going to dig mine out. *Im in the process of moving from DC to Texas so the majority of things I own are in the back of my car and I forgot to lock it before going in for the night. When I woke up everything was still in my car with my doors unlocked. Safety is a big thing for me and the fact that I wasnt robbed due to my stupidity Im considering a pro for this hotel. *It is brand new so everything was clean and nice the bed was comfortable the pillows were comfy. *The TV logged into Netflix so that was nice
