Love this place and the family that runs it. Had the chance to stop in today on my way home, met a nice lady Joyce a retired school teacher and chatted about all the growth Rockwall has been going through these past few years while we both waited for our orders. Ive been a resident of Rockwall since my early 20s moving here from Wylie, about to turn 59 in a few weeks. Its nice to visit a place that hasnt changed since I moved here.

Ordered the cheeseburger. The burger was really good. The meat was seasoned well. I ordered on site. It was a 45-minute wait (only took about 35). There is only parking on the road, but cars come and go pretty quickly. Just know this is a cash only establishment, and its to-go only. They do have chips and can drinks. The drinks are from a soda machine. Do yourself a favor and call ahead.

An American legend . Boots burgers are like the star spangled burger . This place is like so many burger stands that used to be around in 70s and 80s. All the others are gone and only boots has survived due mainly to the fact that the food Quality is so high and the prices have remained low. Get a double double all the way and a bag of Lays, and dont hold up the line. One bite and youll know what everyone else already knows

Tried out what burger guru/historian George Motz says is one of three nearly impossible to get burgers in the US. Open a couple hours because the the owners only work on their own lunch breaks, order from a window ($10 double cheeseburger, drink, and chips), wait up to 30-35min, toss your food in the front seat of your vehicle (no eating on premise), and go find a place to enjoy lunch. How good is it? It honestly took me back to childhood sitting on a park bench in the summer with friends or family, and maybe the only thing missing was the smell of chlorine from being in a pool.

My buddy and I took a vacation day and drove an hour and a half for this legendary burger. Word of mouth had reached us: this is THE burger you must try. We were not let down. Menu is simple, the atmosphere is truly homey, and the gents in the kitchen do not give you the impression they are here to mess around. Price was perfect, as was the presentation, old school and nostalgic. In the end we got our Burgers and wandered down to the park, there is nowhere to eat on site. To put it bluntly, there is nothing exotic or even special about the burger. However, this was by far the best burger Ive ever eaten and Ill likely savor the memory on my death bed. Yeah, its not flashy or covered in anything new fangled, no shroom, no Swiss. Its is, however, the quintessential American cheeseburger. I cant wait to make that drive again. 10/10.

Cash only! Got a Cheeseburger and a Hamburger with a side of spicy relish and bag of jalapenos (2 whole pickled in a baggie). Everything was delicious. Started calling at 11 a.m. and on the 13 try I placed the order. 30 minutes and we had our food. Easy to find in a neighborhood.

A quaint little burger shack nestled in a local neighborhood in Rockwall, Texas. This place is jumping with business no matter what time of day you go, people stop, pickup and go. There is no place to sit and eat at this location, but there is a park nearby you can enjoy this tasty homemade treat. He does sell chips and canned drinks, or you can bring your own. Either way, you gotta try it at least once.

Walk up windows to order and pay with cash. The 2 man crew is steadily getting sacked burgers out the window. Try the diced jalapeños for nice spice and grab a bag of chips before you order. I would like to start off by saying, I don t know how you guys make a profit but keep up the good work. Burger for the price, AMAZING! Didn t have too much going on you could tell the beef was fresh and seasoned nicely. These burgers are made with love, silly to say but if you know you know. Boots Burger is a hidden gem. Its hard to find. You cannot eat on premises. If you dont call ahead youll wait for 30+ minutes. They do not serve fries. Their hamburgers are greasy. They only take cash so youre SOL if you forget. Their open for about 11-1:30.. Maybe but theyll probably close early sold out. Now with all that in mind, prepare yourself for the best damn hamburger in Texas. Fresh ground, home grown produce. Its been there since 1968, the only good thing that happened that year. Well I was born in 1968.. These burgers are beyond good. They are sold out of the back of a house near downtown. Only reason theyll never be shutdown is city hall knows better and they all eat their too. $5 for a double double. I dream about their burgers sometimes. Thats probably why Im writing this at one 1:00 am. Lol

I grew up in Rockwall, Texas, and I have been eating Boots Burgers since I was a kid. My dad would bring home these wonderful burgers every Friday night for dinner. I recently moved to Montana and back visiting family and went to see the house I grew up in and decided it was time to have that famous burger. I had on my man bib to eat in the car and glad I did as all that juicy goodness from the burger dropped from the bottom. First time here and I WILL be going back asap. I love the atmosphere here and, when the burgers are good: theyre REALLY good. Unfortunately its a bit inconsistent at times. Expect 20-30 minutes for your food since its made to order, you can call ahead but I cant always get somebody. It is cash only. This is the first review I ve ever posted but the third restaurant I ve been to to after seeing it on Daytripper. Finally made it to Boots today! I live only 30 mins away but I had not heard of them until they were featured on Daytripper. I was the first customer today and both guys were friendly and talkative. They told me they get customers from all over the world. Only took about 10 mins for them to cook my burgers while we chatted. The first thought I had when I started eating my cheeseburger was that is the kind of hamburger sandwich that first made the hamburger popular. No gimmicks or secret ingredients-just a tasty burger made with quality and pride. As others have said get there early or call in-phone started ringing off the hook right at 11 am.

Best mom n pops burgers. The jalapeño relish makes these burgers something extra. Make sure you plan ahead and be prepared to wait or call ahead. Amazing burgers, hard to think of a rival burger that matches their taste.

One of the best old school, greasy hands, melts cheeseburgers you will have this side of Dallas! It s a literal house, you have to take your food to the car, the house or there are plenty of parks and waterfront views very nearby. Call it in if you can because the wait is long, but worth every minute of it!!!

All I do is eat hamburgers everywhere I go and trust me, I have been more places then you. This is by far the best hamburger I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy in my entire life and I cant wait to go here everyday for lunch. Been wanting to try for a few months after seeing on The Daytripper. Definitely worth the trip and wait. The burger lived up to the hype and then some. If you love a good old fashion burger, this is it! The bun is grilled in the juices from the burger to a crunchy perfection with just the right amount of fixings. Can t wait to return!

There was a 30 minute wait, had to sit in the car because it was hot out side. They dont serve fries only some chips to choose from. There is always a worry they will run out of food if you go too late. Cash only. ..So expect a wait, bring cash, keep your cars ac running and use that time to prepare yourself for the best burger youve had in along time! My kids now insist we go weekly!
