Mr. Cowan is a very good man. He helped us with what was to us a very difficult matter. He doesnt sugar coat the possibilities but tells exactly what the law states. He gives advice and direction in the best interest of his client. We appreciate his help. There doesnt seem to be many very good men who are attorneys but he is one.

I would give 0 stars, but I can t. Paid my retainer fee 12/9/22. As of 3/6/23, I have not had a single phone call returned. Called multiple times. Stopped by and were closed. Nobody can even take time of their day to give me status of my case.

Cameron blessed me in ways I never thought I have again. I went to prison and lost my kids and always thought Id never regain custody upon my release. I hired Cameron and he was ALWAYS bluntly honest. He was very passionate about my case very informative very responsive and very reasonable priced. He settled my case from start to finish in 8 months and helped me regain custody of my kids! He is very vocal and professional in the courtroom and never let anyone push me over to settle for less than I deserved. I highly recommend Cameron to anyone undergoing a nasty divorce or custody battle! I will never use anyone else in the future. Let me start by saying I am of no relation to Mr. Cowan. I contacted Cameron to discuss my divorce In Texas. He was great. He was the only attorney willing to consult with me over the phone being that I live in Colorado. He answered all of my questions during that first call, without rushing me. He was willing to consult with my parents as well since I lived out of state. I was very pleased with the way he handled things for me and that I didn t have to come back to Texas but twice. Almost 2 years later if I have any questions Cameron and his staff (Rachel and Linda) take the time to speak with me. I would highly recommend Cameron to anyone who is going through a divorce. Mr. Cowen Came to court for our temporary orders hearing completely unprepared. He could not even remember what the other party was requesting for temporary orders, nor could he remember what we were requesting. We hired him to help with a modification of a parent child relationship only changing two items. He charged us $2500 and then withdrew from the case before the next status conference. Save your time, your money and your frustration and seek a family lawyer in ( Rockwall) somewhere other than J Cameron Cowen

We were referred to him for family law matters from a friend of mine. He was great needless to say and I have worked in law for 12 years. We got a meeting, set up a plan and got it done. Him and his assistant always got with me somehow someway and he was very helpful in explaining what was what and cost, etc. I could have not been more pleased with the outcome of our court orders and the service his office provided.
